What a waste of time! This was poorly written with many repeats and going back and forth in timeline. Secondly, it was stated that the separation of church and state was written in the US Constitution. Apparently, this author(s) has never read the US Constitution. There is much speculation, opinion, constant discussion of arguments of “facts,” and much skepticism and leftwingism that existed in this piece. Save your time and money.
A very brief book on the voyage of the pilgrims. Much of it was familiar history and other was new, or not usually taught. An ARC given to me in exchange for a review.
This book is not a definitive study of the Pilgrims on the Mayflower. It is a good, basic study of the people who came to what is now Massachusetts. It tells the story of who they were, why they came, how they arrived, and what they did when they arrived. It can be read in a few hours and if you read it, you will have a good understanding of the basic story. I thought the chapter on how the Pilgrims and Puritans were different was very good. I imagine that most will think of them as one and the same, but they were not.
