Fate can either be your friend or it can be your worst enemy!
In my case, it’s been both.
Loving someone and losing them turned my world upside down.
Now fate has dealt me a sweet hand and I plan on claiming what is mine.
In searching for someone else, I found my heart again, but this time the fight for my life begins. And by my life, I mean my heart, the one that’s been frozen in my chest for the past twelve years. It’s found a meaning to beat again.
But, fate isn’t quite as kind as I thought. Things aren’t always as they seem. That would be too easy and nothing has ever been easy for me.
This guitar-strumming man will have to turn on the charm for love to find its way again.

Sorry but I don't buy the whole coincidence thing.
This is a story about Keegan and Shay who get to know each other by exchanging letters. Keegan had just lost his wife when he joined the army (he enlisted before Timber's death so he had no other choice but to leave his infant daughter behind) and then his best friend dies next to him. A few years later he tries to find his best friend's twin sister that he (Wolfe, his best friend) never met but had tried to contact before he died. Shay claims she doesn't have a brother but they continue to contact each other. After a few letters Shay decides to visit the place Keegan lives (even though she never takes time off her job) and that's where they meet. When that happens Keegan calls her Timber (his dead wife's name) and tries to explain to her that she is the spitting image of his wife. Also, Shay claims that twelve years ago (around the time Keegan's wife died) she woke up in the middle of nowhere, with no memory at all. What a coincidence! 🥴
Again, I don't buy it...
I would have continued reading it just out of curiosity to see what happens but I didn't like the writing style, I didn't feel any connection with the characters, the drama is just too much for me and some people who read the whole book say in their reviews that the second half is worse than the first so I'm not going to waste any more time.
