Your wedding day is supposed to be special, filled with family, good friends, and precious memories. Mine had all of that and more. And it was that more that I was having issues with.
Allie and Alec are finally tying the knot and while they had planned on a special day, what they didn’t plan on was one of the caterers getting sick at the reception. When he dies under suspicious circumstances, Alec and Allie are on the case.
The victim has a shady past, and it seems his past came back to haunt him and eventually kill him. Will Allie be able to separate fact from fiction and help Alec land the killer in jail?
This is the 11th book in my favourite Freshly Baked Mystery Serie. Allie and Alex has moved to the old big house which featured in the previous book and are getting married in this house. But murder occurs and Alex, Allie with her friend Lucy investigates it. I like reading about Allie and Lucy and their trips to their favourite coffee shop Cup and Bean drinking various tasty coffees. I enjoyed reading this book, it has nice atmosphere and is well written. Can't wait to read next book in the serie.
I love this series!!!! All Allie wanted was a perfect day for her wedding with Alec. They saved money having it at their mansion they just bought and fixed it up. Well the caterer did a fine job, until one of them got sick. Now Allie needed to know why and who is responsible? There was a few suspects and a lot of lies! Now read to find out!!!! You will be doing a lot of guessing!!
Allie and Alec are preparing for their wedding celebration. Richard Thomas from the Sandy Harbor Catering company popped something into his mouth as he carried food to the buffet tables. Later the ambulance takes him away and he remained in a coma. They later found large amounts of a diabetic medicine in Richard’s blood which eventually caused his death.
Because the circumstances were suspicious, Alec and Allie are on the case! How will they sort through the numerous facts from the victim’s own shady past to find the killer?
The story line moved along well and the characters were likable. Grab your copy and watch Alec and Allie track down the clues to find justice for Richard.
It was finally time for Allie and Alec's wedding, but those two lovebirds just couldn't get away from murder to save their own lives, lol. Murder followed them right to their own reception held at the house but thankfully the person died at the hospital so at least their home wasn't a crime scene.
I never did completely settle on whodunit, so I just let Allie take the reins since it got fairly convoluted in how someone pulled this off and for a pretty darn stupid reason too (although most murders in books seem to be for crazy reasons lol). At least being a PI, Alec was just able to find the killer then turn them over to the police...then they could leave on that elusive honeymoon! I've got the next two borrowed in KU already.
As Allie and Alec finally ties the knot at their new home, a member of the catering staff meets a tragic end. When the conditions of his death points to murder vs. natural causes, town gossip and his past comes back to haunt them as they race to find the killer before their honeymoon becomes their latest victim.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I love this series. There are, however, a few themes in themed cozies that I find less interesting (just because of personal interest). Weddings are definitely one of those things, so I'm glad to finally be past the wedding.
Other than my own personal disinterest when it comes to wedding themes, I enjoyed this book. I always recommend this series to those who like light, themed little cozies.
