This is the third book in the Summerhaven Trio series from Katy Regnery. In this installment we have Ian Haven, who is the last of the Haven triplets to have his story told. What an emotional journey Ian's story was. I had anticipated that it would be considering in the first book we saw his alcoholism bring Ian to rock bottom. By the second story, he realized he needed help, and his sibling supported him along the way through the hard journey. In "Loving Irish" we learn what happened to bring Ian down this road, and also see him search for a way to make amends to the severe damage he had done to the people he loved the most.
I have got to say that Katy did a brilliant job of showing us an authentic journey that Ian takes in his recovery. I was really impressed, as I have grown up around the AA program and have first hand knowledge of what it is all about. My heart went out to Ian, and I loved watching him become a man to once again be proud of!
The romance part of the story is a second chance romance about Ian's first and only love, Hallie. They meet at Summer Camp where Ian is staff, and Hallie is a visitor. Of course when you are 17 things don't always go according to plan, and believe me there were devastating events that took place between these two. When Hallie and Ian cross paths again, there is a ton of bad feelings on Hallie's side...but there is a fine line between love and hate...and the harder she works at keeping him at a distance...the harder he tries to make up for past hurts.
I loved the relationship that developed between Ian and Hallie's little four year old daughter. It was so sweet, and broadcasted what a kind, gentle man Ian had become. He also worked so hard for Hallie, that I became somewhat annoyed with her at how hard she was on him. I understood her anger of the past....but I felt she held onto it way too long!!
This series is a must read series! It is one of the feel good series, with a loyal family who look out for each other and have such a strong bond. I thoroughly enjoyed the setting being in the family owned Summer Camp, I thought that was such a neat aspect to these stories! Add the fact that the triplets are Irish, and I was hooked right from the get go! Katy Regnery has become an auto buy author for me, I have enjoyed ever single book I have read by her. She never fails to make my heart flutter and put a smile on my face. "Loving Irish" comes out on June 11/18, and can be read as a stand alone; but so much better to start at the beginning and meet each of the Haven triplets!!

Oh my gawd, this story...THIS STORY!!!
Ten years ago, Ian and Hallie had plans to spend the night together for Hallie’s seventeenth birthday. When things go awry and all their plans fall apart, they are both left with a life of devastation. After a failed marriage, Hallie is moving back to her family’s cottage next door to Summerhaven and unfortunately in very close proximity to Ian. With her daughter struggling and a house in ruin, the last thing she wants to contend with is the man that had once held all her hopes and dreams.
I loved this story so much! Ian had been completely broken from that one fateful night and was finally putting his life together. Despite the guilt he carried on his shoulders, it was his undying adoration of Hallie that made me love him so much. It never wavered, always remaining a constant in his life throughout the last decade. Man, what’s not to love about a man who will never let his woman go?
My heart hurt for both Ian and Hallie as the events from years ago led them onto different paths, each destructive in its own way. I wanted to rant and rave when given the full picture of that night through flashbacks. This book had so much angst from the past that bled over into the present. My heart HURT!!!
This story was wonderfully laid out and beautifully written. The characters are well developed and their actions were based solidly on their circumstances. Secondary characters don’t carry a lot of the weight, but we are introduced to a promising new hero and his heroine. Jenny, Hallie’s daughter, does help the plot as her own struggles, and Ian’s ability to help her, cause Hallie to open her heart a bit. I felt her character was consistent with that of a four year old and I loved watching her come to life again.
I won’t go into it here in order to keep it spoiler free, but I will say that once the conflict was fully exposed and dealt with, this couple didn’t waste any time in correcting their ten year separation. Overall, this is a very emotional read that I absolutely loved. Each book in the Summerhaven Trio series has pulled me in further and further and now I’m ready for the next one!

Loving Irish was a charming second chance story. While each book could be read as a standalone, I definitely recommend going back and grabbing the first one, Fighting Irish. This series was a lot of fun and you don't want to miss a minute. From that first book, Ian Haven captivated my attention. I just knew his story would be something special. So here are three of my favorite things while I was reading this story:
✮ Both sides of the story:
Yes we got to hear the story from both Ian and Hallie's perspective, but we also got to see their lives in the present and the past. I was drawn to their back story. Every few chapters we would go back ten years, when they were first together. They were beyond adorable and it looked a lot like first love to me. But as their past story unfolded, we got to that moment where everything went wrong. It was heart wrenching to watch, but it added so much understanding into who they were now. While their lives ended up spiraling into two different paths, they met again. They were given a second chance and I couldn't wait to see how they could get back together and heal from the past.
✮ The heart of a child:
Hallie had a daughter named Jenny. Oh my gosh I loved that child fiercely! She was four years old and not only did she add a lot of heart, but she helped steer where the story went and I loved that! Jenny quickly connected with Ian and I had so much fun watching their friendship flourish. Not only did Ian give Jenny the nickname ladybug, but their relationship was beyond adorable and oh so memorable. Jenny helped Hallie see Ian in a different light, and it was also heartwarming how Ian tried to help mend Jenny and Hallie's broken relationship. There were moments that I had tears in my eyes or I was clutching my heart. This child was absolutely everything.
✮ True second chances:
This story was not only about Ian and Hallie having a second chance at love, but it was also about them getting a second chance at life. I loved watching them slowly find their way to happiness. Because both of their pasts hurt my heart. Ian's past was filled with alcohol and Hallie's past had a failed marriage where her husband devastated her in so many ways. They both had a lot of work to do on themselves, individually. And I loved that they found their paths. To what they wanted in life. To happiness. But most of all I loved that Ian worked his hardest to try and redeem himself and find his way back into Hallie's heart. It was an emotional, hard journey and I loved every minute of it.
Loving Irish was a story with a lot of heart. If you adore second chance romance then definitely give their story a try. I'm so very glad I did!

It has been a long time since I have read a book that captured my attention so much that I finished it in one day. That is not to say I haven’t completely loved the other stories I’ve read, but Katy Regnery’s newest release, Loving Irish, from her Summerhaven Trio series, grabbed ahold of me and didn’t let go. I simply couldn’t stop reading Ian and Hallie’s story until I knew how it ended. In reading the synopsis of their romance, I anticipated that Ian and Hallie were going to deeply touch my heart, and they most certainly did.
Ian and Hallie’s love began when they were teenagers. When they finally reach the time that they’re ready to consummate their love, inescapable meddling interferes with their young romance, leaving their hearts devastated and shattered. From that moment, both of their lives take unexpected turns leaving Ian struggling with drinking and Hallie with continued uncertainty and mistrust in men. But there was always something about Hallie that had taken hold of Ian’s heart and it never let go. So when they are unexpectedly reunited ten years later, Ian holds out a deep hope that he will be able to make things right. After all, true love can always find a way. But after shattering Hallie’s heart all those years ago, she keeps the walls erected where Ian’s is concerned and refuses to ever let him hurt her again. Though Ian tries to adhere to Hallie’s wishes to keep his distance, and he endeavors to do so, the love he has always had for her remains unfaltering, and he finally begins to break down her defenses. Will Hallie ever be able to open her heart back up to Ian so they can find the forever in each other’s arms they had always hoped for?
We, of course, met Ian in books one and two of this series but in Loving Irish we get to delve more deeply into what transpired in his past to lead him down the path he had ended up on. My heart was so completely captivated that I just couldn’t put my iPad down.

Of course, Ms. Regnery gives us the happily ever after we love and have come to expect from her, but I am always simply amazed at how she completely captivates my heart making me fall in love over and over again with her characters.

OMG! This story - bawled my eyes out ... happy tears and the biggest smile on my face at the end. There went my sleep last night but so WORTH IT!
“Bright love of my heart.”

“Ah, and that there’s her downfall, poor lass: loving Irish.”
“Silly man, loving Irish is her greatest treasure.”
This is the third book of the Summerhaven series about Ian Haven and Hallie. The love story is an emotional one which I did not expect at all. Ian and Hallie met when they were teenagers. Hallie attended summer camp at the Summerhaven for three years. The last summer before her 18th birthday they secretly dated and fell deeply in love. Ian and Hallie knew they were meant to be with each other for life. On the eve before Hallie turns 18 she had big plans to finally give herself to Ian but her plans got deterred. The next day Hallie found Ian in the barn drunk with another girl. Hallie was devastated. Ian and Hallie’s life forever changed after that fateful night. Ten years later, Hallie found herself back at Summerhaven divorced, broke, with a child, hoping for a fresh start at a place that held so many memories. What she did not plan is to come face to face with her first and only love Ian. Ian had a hard go with life after Hallie left without a trace 10 years prior. He is a recovering alcoholic, still working on healing and rebuilding a new life. Ian needs to find peace, to make amends with the people he loves – the most important person of all, Hallie. Can Ian and Hallie forgive themselves and each other for past mistakes and rekindle the love they once had?

I think this one might be my favorite of the series. The love story completely captivated my heart - emotional, romantic, heart-warming. I love the tender way Ian treats Hallie as if she was his Queen and Jenny was his princess. Ian is a such a loving and caring man. Despite Hallie’s anger toward Ian, he does not give up. He is patient, kind and his love and devotion for Hallie and her adorable daughter is truly unconditional. Hallie’s heart has been broken twice. She is hurt and can no longer trust men. So many times, I prayed that Hallie would give in and be friendlier with Ian but I understand Hallie’s fear of being hurt again. It will take time for Hallie’s heart to heal so she can give Ian a second chance because he is truly a gentle heart who deserves happiness. THEY BOTH deserve LOVE and HAPPINESS!!!

Loving Irish is a heartfelt chance romance. I like the puppy love but I love the older, genuine, matured version of Ian and Hallie. This is more than a love story, it’s about healing, acceptance, forgiveness, fate, and second chances at life. Brilliant writing as always. I am so glad we will get another short story Catching Irish featuring Tate and Finian. Really, I desperately don't want this series to end EVER!!!

Nice story. Enjoyed it a lot but out of the three its my least favourite. This one was sometimes so sweet my teeth ached.

Hallie and Ian met as kids at camp. Hallie was a camper, while Ian worked at his family’s camp. It was first love, young love, until a mistake was made that caused Hallie to leave camp vowing never to see Ian again, and Ian to turn to a bottle to hide from his pain and regret.
Ten years later, Ian is in recovery, working his steps and active in several local AA groups. He is working to make amends to everyone he hurt with his addiction. While Ian is getting his life back in order, Hallie’s has spun out of order more recently. She returns to her family’s nearby cabin as a last resort after a divorce that left her with a 4 year old daughter who refuses to speak and little resources of her own.
I loved these two from the beginning. Hallie has so much going on and is protective of her heart, not only because of the history between them but also the hurt she is dealing with due to her failed marriage. Ian just wants to make up for the hurt he caused so many years ago and wants to help any way he can. There is still a spark between them, but that pain is still raw despite the passage of time.
Hallie’s daughter added a sweet aspect to the story. I loved watching Ian bond with her and the way she opened up again so quickly when she met him.
I loved the flashback scenes and they way they unfold throughout the present day sequences. My heart broke right along with Hallie’s as the scenes progressed, but by the end, the story had put my heart back together again along with Ian and Hallie’s.
Returning to Summerhaven also means running into Rory and Brittney, and Tierney and Burr. I love the way this family rallies around each other, but also how the friendships forged during summer camp have remained despite the times and circumstances changing.
Katy is so good at writing these sweet, easy reading romances. Ian and Hallie’s second chance is a magical summer read with all the ups and downs one would expect from a first love reconnecting after 10 years and lots of hard living in between.

While Ian is getting his life back in order, Hallie’s has spun out of order more recently. She returns to her family’s nearby cabin as a last resort after a divorce that left her with a 4 year old daughter who refuses to speak and little resources of her own.
I loved these two from the beginning. Hallie has so much going on and is protective of her heart, not only because of the history between them but also the hurt she is dealing with due to her failed marriage. Ian just wants to make up for the hurt he caused so many years ago and wants to help any way he can. There is still a spark between them, but that pain is still raw despite the passage of time.
Hallie’s daughter added a sweet aspect to the story. I loved watching Ian bond with her and the way she opened up again so quickly when she met him.
I loved the flashback scenes and they way they unfold throughout the present day sequences. My heart broke right along with Hallie’s as the scenes progressed, but by the end, the story had put my heart back together again along with Ian and Hallie’s.
Returning to Summerhaven also means running into Rory and Brittney, and Tierney and Burr. I love the way this family rallies around each other, but also how the friendships forged during summer camp have remained despite the times and circumstances changing.
Katy is so good at writing these sweet, easy reading romances. Ian and Hallie’s second chance is a magical summer read with all the ups and downs one would expect from a first love reconnecting after 10 years and lots of hard living in between.

This second chance story was so endearing and I loved it. I’ve enjoyed this series from the beginning but I will say that ever since being introduced to Ian in book one his story was the one that I wanted the most.
I’m a sucker for stories that have angst, throw in a hero who is damaged and I’m like a kid in a candy store I can’t get enough.
I loved how this story was told going between past and present. I honestly felt for both of them throughout as they both have had their fair share to deal with over the last ten years.
Ian he is utterly swoon worthy and I loved his character. His moments with Hallies daughter made my heart absolutely melt. Now at times I struggled to understand why Hallie harboured such resentment towards Ian but then again first loves are sometimes hard to get over, sometimes you don’t get over them at all and I could feel that more as the story went on.
This story is full of sweet and soft moments. Throw in some angst and a twist that kind of threw me for a loop and I’m sold. And let me tell ya that little revelation that happens woah it’s a wtf moment for sure.
Adore this series definitely recommend it.

Sarà che io amo le storie sofferte dove i protagonisti toccano il fondo e lottano prima di risalire e uscirne vincitori. Sarà che le cicatrici dell'anima rendono la storia più intensa.
Sarà che la Regnery l'ho conosciuta grazie a storie intense, ma a me piace di più in queste che in quelle romantiche e senza scossoni.
Ian, mi ha dato ciò che mi aspettavo: emozioni, adrenalina, dubbi e voglia di riscatto. Il tutto con l'aggiunta di molta determinazione e tanta umanità che contraddistingue la famiglia Haven.
Hallie rappresenta l'incarnazione delle decisioni affrettate. Tutta la sua vita si basa su un cumulo di risentimento e scelte infelici.

This is the kind of book where "true love" is more important than communication or trust or personal growth or spending time together. It's not a very realistic portrayal of a (very recent former) alcoholic. His alcoholism basically didn't affect the story at all, despite him being a homeless, long term alcoholic in the previous books. The reasons for his addiction were never examined or explained; I gather we were supposed to think having the woman he loved was a cure for alcoholism (and probably that losing her caused his alcoholism which is BULLSHIT).

Loved following Ian through the first two books and was glad to read his story. What a love he and Hallie shared from when they were 17. We knew something had happened, but we finally found out what. One night changed the course of their lives, which they addressed and it was a sequence of events that tore them apart. Read this in one day!

Ten years ago something happened that cost him his first love and sent him on a spiral of self loathing and self destruction. He has been in recovery for over six months and with the help of his siblings, work, structure, and AA is getting his life back on track. But he is still broken, damaged, lonely, and lives with regret and pain over what happened.
Halcyon "Hallie" Gilbert got her heart broken by Ian at seventeen years old and never spoke to him again. She ended up married and had a child, but is now going through a divorce. She is untrusting and seems to be betrayed by men. And now due to circumstances, she is forced to move to a small family cabin near Ian's family's camp where they fell in love as teens. Unfortunately, the cabin needs work. She is angry, stubborn, independent, fearful, and still hurt. And she does not want anything to do with Ian, but he might be her only option for help. And Ian strongly feels he needs to make amends to her at the bare minimum, but in his wildest dreams he hopes to win her back. But it will not be easy.
This is a story about truth, trust, fate, love, and second chances. They both need to forgive themselves and each other to move on. Sometimes situations are not exactly what they seem and reactions can cause long standing consequences. They both have a lot of healing to do, but part of that involves letting go of the past while also figuring out who they are in the present. I felt so bad for Ian and how much he hurt and struggled. He really had such a big, loving heart and was just as devastated as she was, but he blamed himself. Hallie was a bit frustrating, but I could also understand why she needed to be guarded. I felt like they really did deserve to find some true happiness and real support. But they definitely had some baggage to deal with.
This brings back his siblings, Rory and Tierney and their significant others. Rory's fiancee, Britt is also Hallie's best friend, so their lives are pretty intertwined. It also brings in the girls' other friend, Tate, and the triplets' cousin, Finian. Hallie's daughter Jenny was totally adorable. I really like this group of characters and the whole setting for this series, so I am glad the author is going to give us another novella, featuring Finian.

Loving Irish is the 3rd book in The Sumerhaven Trio series. The book was a sweet but emotional 2nd chance romance. The love they had as youths was captured perfectly to see where these two began and what they needed to do to mend their past and work towards a brighter future. You’ll definitely want to read the other’s in the series before beginning this.
I found Ian to be the type of character you want to reach in the book and give big hug to. Despite his long journey of fighting alcoholism he’s never stopped loving or caring for Hallie. She stole his heart when he was a 17 year old and never gave her up. He’s decided enough is enough and has worked his way to sobriety. It’s the perfect timing as he needs to be there for his one and only.
When I began the series, I thought Hallie was going to be the typical spoilt brat. And while she might have had elements of such, I also found that she was a good friend and a caring mother. She’s had to survive the betrayal of her spouse and forge ahead to make a future with her daughter, Jenny. Jenny was your typical 5 year old whose life was just turned upside down. I like the way she was written and loved the friendship she had with Ian over the course of the book.
The reconciliation of these two brought up feelings that they kept closed down for years. They worked through their feelings with the help of family and friends. It was an emotional journey but the book was well worth the read and was everything I hoped for.

Loving Irish is the third book in the awesome Summerhaven series. Ian struggles to overcome his demons on a daily basis, trying to find his place. When Hallie re-enters his life, he is determined to show her he is worth the risk of re-opening her heart. Scarred from her broken marriage and their jagged past, she resists, not wanting to be hurt yet again. Slowly, the line between hate and love blurs until all that is left is honesty, truth, and the desire to stop resisting and accept. To love Irish.
As with all Katy’s books, it was hard to put down, and I enjoyed every word. Looking forward to the next read already!

I almost skipped this book after being so disappointed in book 2. Thank goodness the 1st chapter was at the end of that book or I never would’ve read this gem!! This book felt so real, so relatable and was very sweet. I really loved the depiction of Ian’s recovery from alcoholism, especially how the 12 steps were woven into the story. The Irish sayings added throughout the book were a nice touch too. My only bone to pick was how some problems were resolved a little too perfectly - like the beauty salon scene. I would’ve preferred the author not have let Ian off the hook like that. It was more believable that alcohol caused him to make that first bad decision - but that’s me being nit picky. Overall it was a great read and I’m so grateful I didn’t skip it.

There's something magical about Katy Regnery's romantic storytelling. It's like I know to expect that beautiful happy ending, but I'm always surprised at how much I love the feels at the end of her books. You'd think I'd be used to it, but once again, Ian and Hallie's story gave me all the feels in the end.
Here we finally get Ian's story, the 3rd Haven triplet. We've been slowly witnessing his recovery from alcoholism, but now we get all the behind-the-scenes and the history leading up to this moment in time. And oh Ian, I felt for the guy. His story hurt. But his turn-around was a beautiful thing to behold. I loved Regnery's portrayal of AA and the honesty with Ian's journey. I love that he worked on himself before Hallie was back in the picture, and she wasn't the one to "fix" him.
With Ian's story, we also get Hallie's history. And of Hallie, I felt for the girl. Given that she was 16/17 in our flashbacks, I can't judge her too harshly for her reactions. Ian either. They were kids. That doesn't make it any less heartbreaking, but it does make it understandable. And then her life and choices after that fateful night were just as sad. But despite her obstacles, at least she got Jenny out of it.
Before I get into the romance, I just want to say how much I adored Jenny, Hallie's daughter. She was portrayed age-appropriate, which is the first bonus. She's 4 years old in the story, and she acts four. She's just witnessed her parents' divorce, and her reaction was sad but honest. And then watching her relationship with Ian was simply adorable. Gah, I loved them!!
And then there's Ian and Hallie together. Their journey was not easy. Not even close. But their fears, their hurts, their guilt, and even their lost love, was tenderly portrayed. It was a slow build, with walls steadily being chipped down. But it simply was not something that could be rushed. I loved Ian's dedication. I respected Hallie's fears and vulnerability. I felt the anticipation of their love every step they took closer to each other. A love like that coud not be stopped. And when the barriers and heartache between them came crashing down, I felt their love and joy and happiness through the pages.
Ian and Hallie touched my heart with their second chance romance. I didn't want to put their story down. In fact, I loved all the triplets. I'm glad cousin Finian is getting a novella, because I need to visit with the Haven triplets again. Especially with Ian. He's definitely the glue :)

Ten years later, he has just found his way again and he takes slow steps moving forward. The only thing he doesn't let go is his devotion to Hallie and now that she is back, he is ready to make some amends.
Hallie has only been hurt by the men in her life and now she has a broken marriage, a daughter that doesn't speak to her and a house that is ready to fall down. When Ian volunteers to help with the repairs , she feels confused, angry but she has no choice but to accept. Slowly and steadily she realizes that Ian is not the same boy she remembered and she has to decide if she can forgive him. Her mind is scared but her heart still wants him.
From book one I felt sorry for Ian but after reading his story I was so sad for him but also happy that he found love again. Their past was devastating but their present really touching. It's a story about forgiveness and healing.
I loved both characters especially Ian. They both have grown up and matured. I admired their attitude and I understood Hallie's reluctance. She is a strong, sensitive woman with a daughter that is adorable. Katy Regnery wrote a beautiful hero with a soul a little broken but so full of emotions. You could feel his deep love and his respect to her. There is something about tortured men that declare their love that makes me melt and Ian will definitely do that. Also, did I mention that Ian is Irish, right? His love words spoken in Irish was like a poem and a balm to my heart. Pure romance!!!
Katy Regnery never disappoints me with her books and now that I saw that she is going to write a novella about their Irish cousin, I am so excited! I would love to see an end where everyone is happy with their soulmates. It would be the cherry on the top! Grab this series so you can devour this delicious Irish family!

This is Ian Haven and Hallie Gilbert’s story and is the third and final book in the trilogy and what a way to finish. Ian is the black sheep of the family and yet I really loved him.
Loving Irish is a second chance at love story which is fast becoming one of my favourite types of book to read. Ian and Hallie have not seen each other since they were 17 and to say Hallie is bitter is the understatement of the year.
Life has not been kind to either Ian or Hallie. Ian is a recovering alcoholic who has failed to remain sober time and again causing his family a lot of worry. Thankfully he seems to have turned his life around and is now sober and attending meetings.
Hallie is divorced and bankrupt thanks to her ex husband’s debts and returns to her family’s cabin with her daughter, Jenny to lick her wounds and try and sort out their future. She is shocked when she finds the cabin to be in need of repairs and struggles when Ian is charged with doing the repairs.
Ian and her daughter have an almost instant connection that Hallie really struggles with due to their past history. I found the relationship between Ian and Jenny endearing and in fact Jenny almost stole the book for me.
Loving Irish certainly dealt with some heavy topics and they were handled extremely well by Ms. Regnery. This was one of those books that grabbed me from the start and never let me go; what a terrific read Loving Irish was.
As I have come to expect from a book by Katy Regnery, the writing was outstanding, the camaraderie and relationships that Ian has with his family was realistic and heart warming.

There's this bubbly, happy feeling in my heart at the end of every Katy Regnery book. As far as romantic storytelling goes, Ms. Regnery is one of my queens, and there is no exception here. Loving Irish is a lovely second chance romance filled with that almost poetic storytelling I attribute as signature to Ms. Regnery, and the sort of desperate, deeply romantic love story that I will never ever get enough of.
I have anticipated Ian Haven's story so much. He captured my attention and my heart immediately in this series, and so I could not wait to get inside his head - and his heart - and learn what happened between him and Hallie that set them both adrift. I completely adored how Ms. Regnery handled their story - giving us little flashback snippets to unfold their history - and building the story of present day Hallie and Ian as a slow, aching burn. I loved them both so fiercely and little Jenny? Gah. Don't even get me started on little Jenny. She only served to make an already rich story that much richer, and the relationship she formed with Ian? My heart cannot even handle it. The sweetest thing ever and I could not get enough.

This is the 3rd book of the series. The last of the triplets to fall. By far the most intriguing of the bunch. Ian Haven has some monster size demons he is wrestling with. His biggest regret in life is losing his first love all those years ago.

I love that this author gives us not only the back story on these characters, but she gives us the slow burn up to the realization that their hearts were never out of the mix to begin with. Loved Hallie's daughter and her ability to capture Ian's heart. Loved seeing all the triplets together.
Best news ever-----there will be at least one more book. Cousin Fin is set to take the fall next. Woot! Thanks for that. Can't wait to see the couples again through Fin's lens. Great series all around.

This is the 3rd book of the series. The last of the triplets to fall. By far the most intriguing of the bunch. Ian Haven has some monster size demons he is wrestling with. His biggest regret in life is losing his first love all those years ago.

Loving Irish is the third book in this series following the triplets of Summerhaven.
Ian has had a physical and emotional journey he has battled his demons since high school . He had one love and he lost her due to mistakes and misunderstandings. He is now on the road to recovery and she has reappeared the same beautiful woman she was but a little broken and beat down.
Hallie was so in love with our boy Ian even though she knew he had a bit of a flirt/playboy streak . She knew deep down what they had was real ….so she thought . She fled the summer retreat not to return and did not look back . Hallie had been made a fool and would not stand for it. She is now back from a marriage that left her with a beautiful daughter and ex cheating husband Romeo.
Hallie comes back to the cottage that she held so dear only to find it complete and utter need of repair.
Ian volunteers his services to make the home livable and falls once again for the beautiful Hallie and her young child. They soon discover the past is not all that it would have seemed and are unsure if their is anyway to fix it. The cottage can be repaired but how abut their lives together .
I love this series and the amazing characters that fill the pages !!

Loving Irish was an beautifully emotional second chance romance for Ian Haven. As the final Haven triplet to get his HEA, Ian’s story was one I had been anticipating since I began this trilogy. It was apparent from the moment his character was introduced that he was a bit broken and now, to have his history and see him find his way to getting a forever he so deserved?? It was just sweet and swoon worthy.

Regnery has done it again. Loving Irish, ran away with more than half of my heart. Hallie and Ian were meant to be together, yet forced to exist apart. Can they let go of the past and concentrate on taking a chance on their future? Loving Irish is a story that just melted my heart. It was so easy to fall into and be completely absorbed. I started reading and didn’t want to put down my e-reader until the very last page.
“I still believe in us. I—I believe in us, Halcyon. And if I love you hard enough, and long enough, with my entire heart and my entire soul, I believe you’ll love me back. You’ll find a way to love me again.”
This has absolutely become my new favorite Katy Regnery book. I never want this series to end! Maybe some novellas to give us some glimpses into the lives of my favorite triplets???

Though both Ian and Hallie went through hellish 10 years I'd still call this book sweet and endearing. I don't think anything could have been done differently by both Ian and Hallie so maybe that's what life (or rather Katy ;)) was meant to show them or make them appreciate what they can find in each other even more.
The senior year Halcyon "Hallie" Gilbert came to the Summerhaven resort she was different, took her a bit but she was finally maturing and though Ian thought she was cute (as a friend) before, when he saw her NOW his feelings quickly changed. So they spent the summer together, even though Ian Haven, as one of the triplets of the owner of the summer camp, wasn't allowed to have ANY relationship with the guests.. Rules needs to be broken, right? and anyhow who can resist the beautiful and sweet Hallie?
When the summer almost comes to an end, one evening leaves the two of them broken, never to see each other again until ten years later Hallie's best friend Britt Manion gets married to no other than Rory Haven and naturally at the Summerhaven camp.
Hallie has just finalized her divorce from the father of her little girl and with the amount of debt left her with, she basically have no money to even rent someplace for the both of them. Remembering the small cabin her family owns near the Summerhaven resort she plans on fixing it a bit so she can have a rent free home and a place where they can both start a new. But finding the place is almost RUINED by neglect and the winter storms and no money to pay what she should, she finds herself accepting the help of Ian even though she has no other feelings for him but hatred, fury and betrayal (well, at least the two last ones are totally true.. ;))
As we've read in the previous installments, Ian has his own problems to deal with, mostly his alcohol addiction. But the last few months he have been adamant he is going to start a new chapter in the book of his life. He has been 6 months sober and he intends to stay this way! But AA asks him for more than JUST staying sober.. he needs to make amends which means - to Hallie especially. It's the most easy natural thing for him - helping Hallie, being there for her and her little girl, but it's also EXTREMELY difficult to see the resentment in her eyes and how she tries her best to ignore him. He gets it, he totally does but in his heart he wishes it was different. 10 years might have past from that horrible night, but his heart STILL belongs to Hallie.
Hallie needed the time, to both SEE how much Ian have changed as well as to heal a little from the past hellish months. Her relationship with her daughter was hit hard from the divorce and the fact she couldn't see her father anymore (who ran back to Brazil..) and Ian was a GREAT influence on her as well. But once the truth is out, Hallie realizes they might have lost 10 years but luckily they haven't lost each other, not if they decide to give each other a much needed second chance.
I LOVED this book and so I'm really glad we'll get another in the series. Finian, the Havens' cousin from Ireland has already made his appearance as well as Tate (a good friend of both Britt and Hallie) and I can't wait for their story but also another glimpse into the three couples Katy brought together in this series. I'm sorry Ian, but your sister Tier is my favorite ;) but it doesn't change how much I enjoyed reading this book. I delved into it and didn't want it to end though I DID want my HEA hehe I think this series should be read by order, though nothing WILL happen if you don't.. Yep, highly recommended :)
