Adventure, a husband, and a new life out West. What more could she ask for? In New York, Eloisa has her future entirely planned out for her.
As a member of a well-off family, she is expected to marry, put aside her passion for writing, and live according to her parent’s expectations.
Neither as charming nor as pretty as her older sister, shy Eloisa is resigned to her fate -- that is until she finds an advertisement for a mail-order-bride, for a banker in the small town of Daisy Creek.
The chance of a simple life with a respected banker seems perfect to Eloisa. Keen to take control of her own life, she responds to the listing with as much charm as she can muster.
David knows he needs a wife if he is to keep his inheritance, but likely marriage prospects in Daisy Creek are as remote as the town itself.
When he receives Eloisa’s response to his advertisement for a mail-order-bride, David is intrigued by this sophisticated young woman from New York, and is eager for her to join him out West.
However, when she arrives, both Eloisa and David are quick to discover that they have both been misled about each other’s character, including David’s appalling reputation as a ruthless banker.
Even as they grow to understand each other and she learns that there might be more to David than she originally supposed, Eloisa struggles with the question:
Can an unprincipled man like David ever truly change his ways? Or is she about to make the biggest mistake of all, in trusting him with her heart?
Enticing Mail Order Bride for the Banker is an inspirational story about love and what it takes to earn it. Will Eloisa and David ever be able to find happiness together, or will their differences and misunderstandings keep them apart?

I am a shameless romance addict with no intentions of ever kicking the habit. Growing up I dreamed of entertaining people and taking them on fantastical journeys with my acting abilities, until I came to the realization as a college sophomore that I had none to speak of. Another ten years would pass before I discovered a different means to accomplishing the same dream: writing stories of love and passion for addicts just like me.I have always loved romance stories and I try to tie all the elements I like about them into my writing.
I received this ebook ARC from the author, on the condition that I write an honest review. This was another great story about the residents of Daisy Creek, as another single man obtains a mail-order bride. David is the local banker, and not well liked by the townspeople. He is considered harsh, unethical, and emotionless, but this is the front that he displays, not allowing anyone to get close to him. Threats from his father, cause him to seek a wife, in a town with no single women, thus his solution is a mail-order bride. Eloísa is a young daughter of a wealthy family in New York, and she is uncomfortable with all the requirements from her family. She experiences an unpleasant attention from a man at her families parties. This causes her to close herself off from everyone. She responds to David’s letters and goes to Daisy Creek. On the way to meet David, she is saved from another bad experience, by David’s groomsman. There is immediate attraction between David and Eloísa, and these feelings increase with time. Another episode occurs at David’s bank, and with the help of the Lakota Chatan, and David, she overcomes another bad experience. Eventually David and Eloísa obtain their HEA. I’ve read several books written by Amelia Rose, and love her descriptive stories about the untamed West.
David Barber the town Banker/Town Owner also known as the Villain. (some would say). In Nebraska the sheriff, Danny Hooten and the deputy, Bill Paulson came by the bank to visit with the banker, David Barber for awhile.
Meanwhile in New York, Eloisa Franklin spotted an advertisement and decided to write a letter to Nebraska. After several letters back and forth in the mail she received one with an invitation to come out west to visit with David Barber, the banker. Eloise had never been to the west or in a country town before. What an adventure for her. She met her future husband, his butler, the maid and the cook. What a surprise, a very large house to live in.
This was a well written story. There were numerous characters to keep track of. But the author keeps track for us in the front of the book. I love to read Ms Amelisa Rose's books they are interesting , entertaining, full of adventures, with twists and turns throughout the story. There are no two stories alike in any of her books. They are always sweet western stories in the west. And in the 1800's in a country town which I love to read about. She keeps me turning the pages as I gather so much information.. I recommend this book to everyone even eighth grade and up.
A Little Give & Take...! This is the story of how Eloisa and David came to be married. They are two interesting characters who cautiously feel each other out with a view to marriage after Eloisa runs away from her parents home. There is a lot of trauma in her life which needs sorting out before they can commit to each other. I loved the way she persistently chips away at his habits and lifestyle so that he happily makes changes for the better as well as his support of her in her times of need. The story is a fully rounded one, nicely written with many interesting things happening to bring about some very welcoming changes to the lives of two well matched and endearing characters. It is a good addition to the Daisy Creek Brides Series. My voluntary review above is written after reading an Advance Reader Copy (ARC) of the book and is based on my thoughts and ideas about it.
Ah! Your heart goes out to Eloisa, she struggles with all the social requirements expected of them by society, much preferring solitude. Then the real challenges start, through no fault of her own she is attacked and then judged, if she thinks the challenges in the East were hard then she is in for a shock as she travels West. The challenges in the West are far bigger and generally life and death...there are points when you fear it may all be too much and I wasn't sure Eloisa would pull through. Fortunately she has the love of a good man to support her, David is willing to do anything to help Eloisa through her trauma and in doing so he realises he is a good man, not the cold, heartless man the town accuse him of being! A fantastic journey of self discovery, danger, hope and love which I read on Kindle Unlimited.
This was a sweet historical romance. Another enjoyable one by the writer. FYI: this is part of the Daisy Creek series by the writer.
The story had a slowly building relationship b/w David & Eloisa. They found each other attractive but the love grows over time as they get to know each other. It's how you like to imagine many mail-order marriages worked out. (instead of both parties being miserable or living together, raising a family but never connecting as I'm sure many of those ended up)
And while it was a clean romance with a kiss & a hug the sexual chemistry was there.
she got attacked by a man in her home she lived in with her parents and sister she wrote to the banker in another town who was looking for a mail order bride her sister helped her escape since her parents didnt want her to leave she went to the town with the banker on the way the carriage was shot at and she got scared then robbers came to the bank while she was there, she shot and killed one the indians gave her something to drink so she felt better her book was going to be published her parents and sister showed up unexpectedly , her father gambled and lost his money despite being mean to her husband he offered her dad a job in a nearby town in his bank

Another great story, full of action and a relationship between Eloisa, the mail order Bride and David, the banker in Daisy Creek. David's not liked in the town and Eloisa is upset by all the things the town's people are saying about him. I loved the fact that there is action and the bride-to-be doesn't get beat-up by the outlaws. There is humor through out the book. Also enjoyed how the characters grow and come together. No dull spots in this story! I received this book to read and give my honest opinion as an ARC member.
What could ever change a hard cold man . All he needed was a beautiful woman with lots of charm and patience. David was a lonely banker that really needed to get married are be left out of his fathers will. But he didn’t count on falling in love with Eloise. She went through a lot of tragedy in her young life but eylyleyshe had enough love to help David. David was the banker that know one in town spoke to because of how he did business. But his mail order bride saved him from a lonely life. Jo
After experiencing some difficulties, Eloisa boards a train to find the groom she corresponded with in a mail-order-bride advertisement. David Barber looks good on paper, but when she gets to Daisy Creek his reputation as a strict businessman and overlord bring doubt. Slowly they work on the misconceptions to keep their promise to wed. The narration was adequate with little or no variation between the characters.
Enticing Mail-Order Bride for the Banker: Inspirational Western Mail order Bride Romance (Daisy Cree
I wouldn't have believed it unless I read it here. I was shocked that the Banker is actually a nice guy. Lol. I am loving this series so much. You have to get yourself these books from Amelia Rose. She spins a story that makes you feel like part of the family. Never stop writing, Amelia. Thank you.
You can read this one alone if you like. However, I love series, so this was a great addition to the series. The characters in this book were fantastic. I liked the interaction and development of them. There were moments when I was scared to read more, thinking the worst might happen to these characters. I even yelled at the book once. This is a great read.
Amelia Rose has written another story in the Daisy Creek series that is delightful. There are some suspenseful moments that occur while the relationship develops between David, the town banker and Eloisa, a young debutant from New York. During this time they both come to realize that there should be some give and take as well as honesty as they get to know each other better.
This was an interesting book. I know he's a banker and she's from a prosperous family, but I'm glad more focus was on their character than their money. I feel like there should have been resolution with his father though. I've definitely grown more comfortable with the narration and can't think of anything that needed improvement in this book.
This is the fourth book in the Daisy Creek Brides Series, a Mail-Order Bride Romance. I like this Series of standalone books! David and Eloisa's story is sweet, clean, interesting, and heartwarming. The storyline has a little suspense. I loved to follow them in their journey to love. The supporting characters are great. Gina Dobbs did a good job with the narration. I enjoyed it.
A wonderful light hearted story of courage. Eloisa traveled out west looking for adventure and a peace of mind. What she found was love with the Banker David Barber. She had to endure many obstacles in order to find her HEA. But together they opened their hearts and found true happiness.
Another winning book for Amelia Rose. I loved it from page one. If you love mail-order bride stories, you will not be disappointed. It is filled with action, scary drama and the slow love that I have come to expect. The ending was definitely satisfying. Book gifted to me.
Amelia Rose is one of my favorite writers and I’ve enjoyed reading about the inhabitants of Daisy Creek. This was almost like a visit with old friends. We have conflict, uncertainty, death, romance, and a surprise twist. Oh, what an entertaining book.
Sweet story with romance, suspense, danger and all kinds of emotions! Eloisa was a sweetheart, and although David was a bit gruff and not exactly romantic, he really grew on me.
Great mail order bride book .Her groom to be is the towns banker that isn’t very popular with the townspeople.I couldn’t put this book down until I was finished with the book.I loved every word.
My desire is to write and not to spend time at party after party. My sister enjoys those kinds of things. I really don’t think I want to be married. But I get attacked and everything changed.
Enticing Mail Order Bride For The Banker: Inspirational Historical Western Romance By Amelia Rose
I really liked Eloise she is a very brave young woman to leave her family to become a mail order bride to David Barber a banker in Daisy Creek Nebraska . I recommend Teens and up .
It was such a fun story to read today. I read it over the course of one day and when I wasn’t reading, the book had me thinking of the plot and devising what I thought might happen. There were great twists that didn’t seem far fetched.
Eloisa certainly doesn't lack for adventure even before she arrives in Daisy Creek. David, Eloisa's entendre and the town's banker is also about to experience quite a change in his previous very private singular life as a bachelor.
It is a good read that made for a dream filled night. I started and had trouble putting it down. Waking up it was my first thought and it didn't disappoint. Enjoy!!!!!
Amelia Rose is one of my favorite writers. Her mail order brides are always exciting and romantic. The adventures these brides have to go thru makes for good reading. I loose myself in these stories
I enjoyed this book and liked the characters. I was a bit disappointed with the epilogue concerning the parents. It wasn't very realistic and too rushed. My suggestion is to keep the stories realistic.
Truly a wonderful story, full of lots of excitement, danger, healing, surprises and lots of love. It shows how love can change people. I would recommend this to everyone who enjoys a wonderful story. It is truly worth reading,
David, Daisy Creek's bad banker, is forced by an Inheritance/allowance situation with his Dad to seek a mail-order relationship with Eloisa, a New York heiress.
I read Enticing Mail Order Bride for the Banker by Amelia Rose though the Kindle Unlimited program. This was a fast read, that had slot happening that kept me turning the pages. I am really enjoying this series.
