I love writing, and I love LOVE. I've been writing seriously since 2010 and have written 35 books (and counting!) Most of them are YA and NA romantic fantasy. There's a dash of paranormal and dystopian romance in my book list as well.
I'm honored to be an Amazon bestseller and multi-award winning author of the bestselling Hidden Saga, which is a 10-book Fae fantasy romance series, the heart-pounding Crimson Accord vampire romance series.
My new Romantasy series, Age of Fae, begins with A Court Bright and Broken, which released on Valentine's Day 2025. Book 2, A Kingdom Ruthless and Radiant comes out May 23rd 2025!
I live in Rhode Island where I write in my car at the beach year round and sometimes crave the heat and humidity of Mississippi, where I grew up. I love hearing from my readers! Reach out and say hi anytime.
The ending was wonderful and hopeful for a growing, better future. A very satisfying completed story arc! Still left me wanting a bit more, like every good story! Good job, Ms. Patrick!!
This book is full of so much emotions! It made me giggle like a little school girl in some parts.. and the ending… it had me In happy tears. Finally, Abbi got to shine as bright as a star! She showed us that no matter what’s happening in life, you should stand by what you believe, even when the world around you, including those that love you tell you otherwise. That the best thing to do is stay true to yourself and never divert from your path as long as it’s the right path that is full of love, acceptance, and the right thing to do, not just for you but for everyone. Learn to grow and adapt without compromising your values. Also The love Reece and Abbi have for each other is a love one can only dream of, and thankfully, Amy Patrick did and wrote it! It was absolutely a perfect ending to a fantastic series! I will truly miss reading about Abbi and Reese and their BIG surprise! I find I’m also going to miss reading about Kannon. The way she wrote him, makes you feel like he’s your imaginary BIG brother.. but that may be just me since I’m an only child lol Amy, you’re a fantastic writer and I feel blessed to get to read your books! So THANK YOU!
This series was so fun to read. I loved this vampire world and the story was fast paced and interesting. The only downside is the super obsessive and jealous romance which I cannot vibe with at all. But other than that I had a great time and I'm happy with the way this series concluded!
The whole series has been simmering for this roiling boil of a finale. I was hooked from the first chapter I was hooked. Reading the book from so many different perspectives was awesome. Getting a peek at diary entries. I finished in a day.
I don't think I've ever simultaneously anticipated and dreaded reading a book like I did this one. I only dreaded it because I knew when I read the last page, it would really be over. My anticipation won out though because I needed answers!! This was a wonderful conclusion to The Crimson Accord series. I couldn't put it down once I started. Amy Patrick has a way of sucking you in like that! It ended just how I hoped it would (with a few other fun extras sprinkled in) although the journey there was different than I expected! Now that all 4 books of this series are out, I'm very much looking forward to reading it again from start to finish.
I have read this final book in The Crimson Accord series and I was once again impressed by the way the story partly unfolded as I expected, but also took some unpredictable turns. As before the story continues seamlessly from where book three left off, but this time there is a slight different. The first chapter starts in the past and turns out to be from the perspective of a young Imogen. The history of the sisters Imogen and Sadie is revealed and cleverly integrated into the narrative throughout the book and satisfies the curiosity I and I’m sure many other readers have had about the vampire queens. The growth of the main characters becomes fully evident, especially of course Abbi, who reluctantly takes on the role of leader and proves to be amazing.
I’m keeping this review short as I don’t want to reveal any spoilers and can only say that it is a fabulous conclusion to the series, which leaves enough open to speculate on the future of the Vampire race.
Any fan of vampire romance and YA fantasy fiction should read The Crimson Accord Series, I think they will love it as much as I have and not be disappointed.
I had the pleasure of receiving this book as an advance reader copy from the author and am leaving this review of my own volition.
I was immediately drawn into this book, finishing the series within two days. This review is what I’m posting on all four books as it is a review of the whole series.
The Crimson Accord is a world where vampires and humans are living together, mostly peacefully when we enter the scene. Abigail and Reece meet at a party and as Reece calls it: it’s destiny. This book has intrigue, and Abbi has a resolute moral compass she’s not willing to budge on. The series is definitely worth a read, but will I read it again? I haven’t decided, but probably not.
The good? 1. Reece and Kannon make this series worth it. Reece deserved better than Abbi. She’s stupid for never thanking him for keeping her alive after all her dumb decisions.
2. The story is interesting! The world is compelling. The support characters are a tad underdeveloped but are endearing.
3. Abbi and Reece’s will they ever be together romance... it pulls you into the story. Especially as you root for Reece the entire book!
4. This series is imaginative. The writing has a fun, fast pace feel to it. I immensely loved how clean the book was. Sex is off scene and the language is minimal. The book was exciting as we follow Abbi’s journey.
The bad? 1. Abigail is willing to let others get hurt for her to keep her morals. I don’t care what the book tries to tell you. Abbi is selfish. Her and Sadie’s “Peace at all costs” mantra is insane. Humanity is flawed. But of course Abbi willingly hurts Reece over and over because she’s hellbent on choosing the right thing no matter who it affects (yet never has to really face the consequences herself.) The ending of this book pissed me off. We are building up to a war between humans and vampires. And it just all ends peacefully? What was all the crazy war build up for? What was the purpose of the threat of war, if there would be no battle?
2. I nearly stopped reading the last book, Crimson Crown, because Abbi actually agrees to sleep with ALL the bloodbound soldiers. Wtf wtf wtf wtf. I realized there wasn’t much left and made myself trudge through but honestly it blew me away.
This whole time Abbi is shoving her morals down everyone’s throat, to the point of insane blindness to the danger she’s putting everyone in (like believing a cure will fix everything), but she decided “yes sleeping with alllll my drones is something I’m willing to budge on while the love of my life stands outside the door and I make him pick the order of men I sleep with”
I don’t care that circumstances got in the way and she never did it. She still agreed to it!!
3. I find the promise of sex every once in awhile to be a very strange reason for these vampires to be soldiers ... like if you want to be a part of the queen’s harem, like ok that’s your choice. But why did it have to be the soldiers?? This plot point is bizarre. I’m fairly certain not wanting to be killed by the humans is a good enough reason for the vampires to want to join the army. But whatever.
Sum up?
I recommend this series. It’s a decent vampire romance series. The characters are cute and you are rooting for them the whole time. Whether it was for them to succeed or fail, I was indeed invested in their stories.
I was rooting for Abbi to kill Imogen, but yet again precious Abbi never has to do any of the dirty work. Because Abbi kind of sucks, despite her endearing idealism.

When I started reading books this past year knowing I would write a review once I finished, I discovered that I enjoy all types of books. I also realized that some of my favorites are young adult literature - even though I am 60+ years old. I want to be entertained, and I have been thoroughly entertained by the Crimson series written by Amy Patrick. This final book is a wonderfully written conclusion to the saga of Reece and Abbi. I chuckled reading about the fundraising efforts taking place by phone. I reflected on my own jobs with expectations of professional behaviors due to the positions I held. I enjoyed the chapter to chapter changes of who was writing as it provided different perspectives and points of view. The author was spot on when demonstrating the fact that there is no such thing as free press without bias. I was really impressed with the ending speech and believe it should be on a poster. I even teared up a couple of times - the old sentimental fool I am! I got goose bumps when...oops, can't tell or it will ruin the ending. You can read this book as a stand alone, but I recommend the entire series as you will have a better understanding of the characters and the challenges they are facing in this book.
The final installment in this series was such a nail biter!! It’s told in several different view points and I enjoyed it so much. This book included Sadie’s journal entries and I absolutely loved it!! Being able to read the journal entries was a very interesting spin. That I honestly wish there were more, they were so addicting to me! With everything going on with the Crimson Accord and Abbi having to figure things out in Bastion. Eeek!! Such a great book!! I was unable to put the book down and literally inhaled it in a day! There were so many positive things that happened in this book, and I cannot wait for people to read it. Abbi is such a inspiration and she’s such a unique individual. Will Abbi be able to get the president to work with her? Will Abbi become the leader everyone needs her to be? Pick up this fast paced YA paranormal series to find out. You won’t be disappointed!! The author is able to weave a phenomenal story that will hook its fangs in you and suck you in till the very last sentence!
About the book Awaiting for Imogen to wake up, Abigail is still lacking the confidence to be the heir of the vampire community. But with Reece’s support and her friends, she got the courage to fight for the rights of their community. While leading them, sticking to her beliefs, and not being like Imogen, she gave freedom to all the vampires and Bloodbound. But this freedom is costing the Bloodbound’s loyalty to her and is putting pressure on the Bastion community on protecting their place. Will she stick to her philosophy? Or will she change to be like Imogen? My thoughts As before, Crimson Crown was written seamlessly. Changed from the traditional vampire plots made this series different. Some minor details seem weird but as I said it is different from the other vampire story. It is hard to give my review here without spoiling. So I’m giving this of course five stars. All 4 books have a different focus. The first 3 will leave you hanging at the end, enough for you to crave for more. The last book gave a good fight politically and gave a clean end.
What a fantastic vampire romance series!! Abigail was Amish, she met Reece at a party that she and her friends snuck out to. She liked him immediately, and he told her he would see her again because their meeting on the night of a Blood moon was destiny. Well they meet again, eventually. As vampires. That’s how the series starts out.
It starts with a bang and gets better and better. The whole vampire concept is very different than what’s typical, in a way. I don’t want to give much a way, but there are so many crazy twists and turns, there’s frustration with how certain characters handle things, and the same with the humans. It’s all a VERY EXCITING RIDE!!! The romance part of it becomes frustrating, but I promise there is a HEA!! This book, the last book, is my favorite!! I didn’t know how Abbi was going to solve the problems that they were dealing with, but she did. It was a wrapped up with a HEA!!
If you enjoy Paranormal Romance, Vampire Romance, and lots of crazy twist and turns, YOU WILL LOVE THIS SERIES!!
"Not all that long ago, when I was a scared little girl who'd never been outside her own village, someone said to me that there was no such thing as 'good enough,' that we should strive for greatness instead."
The Crimson Accord series has been a fantastic twist on the YA vampire genre, with a very pointed message about accepting not only the differences that surround us, but also learning to accept ourselves and what may set us apart. To be flexible and learn to adapt to the changes the world throws at us. To fight for love, for family.
For an ending that I was dreading, Amy Patrick tied everything up so very neatly in this book that it's hard to be sad over its finality. While I felt that some things were cut a little too short, and that the bit of action we'd seen from the other novels wasn't as present in this one, it was a very satisfying, clean ending to a highly addictive series. One I know I'll revisit again - much as I do her Hidden series.
Wow! Can't believe the Crimson Accord Series is coming to an end. It feels like it was just yesterday when Crimson Born (book 1) came out. Love that we get to learn more about Imogen and Sadies past. And Kannon, Oh My God I love him so much! He is such a good friend to Abbi and Reece and I love the ending he got. I have a lot to say about Reece. There were times where I was like "Stop being such a jerk!" But there were also times where I just wanted to give him a big hug. And finally, Abbi, She has grown so much throughout the series. I am so proud of how far she has come. If you couldn't tell already I really LOVE these characters! The story is GREAT! Amy gave us an EXCELLENT ending. This series is a fast and easy read. And I can't wait to start the series all over again without having to wait for the next book!😂
Wow. I have been waiting for this one ever since I read the first three books, and it certainly didn’t disappoint. This perfectly wrapped up the series without feeling rushed or forced. It left an ending open enough to imagine it continuing, but it had enough details to ensure you got a complete ending. I have recommended this series several times already, and I will continue recommending it, especially considering it has a fantastic ending.
Having chapters from a few different characters’ perspectives was a great addition. I truly enjoyed learning more about Sadie and Imogen’s childhood, as I had been curious about this. Abbi and Reece continue navigating their relationship as Abbi takes on her new role as queen of the vampires. Tensions with President Parker are growing and she may have to start a war. Will she be able to keep the peace?
What a great ending story, for a truly enjoyable series. Abigail and Reece make a loving, caring couple and are always protective of each other. Vampires, they may be, but, being turned, not of their choosing, they still believed and practiced their non violent lives and spread those feeling and ideals to anyone and everyone, who would listen. In real life, the world needs more Abigail’s, willing to stand up for the rights of all people, no matter their race or nationality. Treating one another with respect, kindness and helping, when in need, is so sorely needed in our world today. Thank you Amy Patrick! I wish this series, could become required reading, in all schools, everywhere in the world. Peace, love and concern, don’t ever be afraid to share it! Kathy Barber Doyle 9/15/2021
The finale is worth the wait! The fate of vampires is in Abbi’s hands, it wasn’t easy. She was able to accomplish what other vampire leaders could not. Abbi showed considerable growth in her thinking and decision making. This was an exciting vampire series, great for young adults without some of the typical romance elements in a new adult romance. Definitely need to read the series in the correct order. I was lucky to receive an early copy from the author and I was able to write a voluntary review.
I’m not a fan of series. A lot of times I get drawn in with the first book and then I feel committed to finish a series even if I don’t love it. I’m glad that wasn’t the case with The Crimson Accord Series!! I looked forward to each book and I loved reading all of them! Now I’m just sitting here thinking what am I to do with myself now. Lol These books are very well written and enthralling. The characters are well crafted and you’ll either love them or dislike them, as they are intended to be. Fantastic work Amy Patrick!!
Interesting, how my ratings for these books went up after every book. Book 4 was by far the best. But I enjoyed all of them! Book 1 really wasn’t written very well in my opinion. But it made sense, it was a cool idea, and it was intriguing and easy enough to want to keep reading. Luckily, the books are all short. So it doesn’t take long to get to the next book. On kindle, all the books were like $5 except for the first one which was free. Honestly, worth it.
With this book, the story line comes to a nice ending. We learn more of some's backstories which makes it fun.
The ARC is resolved.
I still think the political intrigue a bit simplified - the characters did grow up, but the changes they deal with are quite consequent yet the space given to how they deal with it is... minimised. They just deal with it with one-events. On the upside, the story moves along nicely, and wraps up the story in a fun to read, easy to follow, happy feelings.
I love the book I did have some trouble getting to read it at first but when I got in to it it was a great read I throughly I add I could not get in to reading the book is because I had a very pregnant cat that I had to keep an eye on she has her kittens all over the house if we don’t keep an eye on her
I chose this rating because usually I am very picky about what I read. I don't even remember getting the first book but this will forever be one of my favorite reads to-date. Thank you so much for writing this series. I look forward to reading more by this author. Happy Reading everyone!
Amy Patrick has done it again! Crimson Crown is the last book in the series and is an amazing story the twist ,truns and insights will have you nail bitting. I couldn't put it down!! I love the message it leaves the readers with, you have read it to find out!
This was a great end to the series that tied everything up neatly. It is a great, quick, page-turning read. The only bad thing about it is I wish it was still going! I can't wait to see what the author does in her next series.
I simply live the whole series of the Crimson Crown. The last story the ending was perfect. I Love Amy Patrick stories. So far every book of her different series that I've read are very good. So worth reading.
Amazing ending to a superb series. A Vampire community waiting for its Queen, while Vampires in the human world having a difficult time. Loved everything about this book, but wishing it wouldn’t end. Abigayle is such a strong character and keeps the story going.
Amy Patrick continues her legacy of relatable characters and story lines you can't put down. Crimson Crown is the final chapter in Reese and Abbi's journey into and through the vampire world.
Wow, not as good as I was hoping for. First, there is no mention of Shane again until the very end and it is a short sentence about him. Second, the fight between the vampires and the president was too easy. I wish there would have been more action.
This surprised me alot but in a good way, there were creative solutions around the problems faced that i wasn't expecting at all and that didn't involve a "cure". Overall i really enjoyed this series.
