The ancient path twists and turns. In Wilde Grove, the initiation continues and those following the ancient path in and out of the Wildwood have much to learn. And come to terms with.Erin feels like a changed woman, but still there is more for her to do. The ancestors are never far from us, and sometimes they need healing as much as we do.It isn’t only Erin who discovers this fact, but Winsome and Morghan must struggle with the consequences of not only their own actions, but the actions of those who lived and died in Wilde Grove before their own time. But wild magic has many secrets – and many gifts, for those who would learn its ways. The Rising is the third book in the Wilde Grove series, following on from The Belonging.
I enjoyed this much more than the previous book. It goes deeper into Erin's spiritual practice as well as Morghan and Winsome's, though it focuses quite a bit on past lives and the messages they bring/how certain things may repeat. I really appreciated the struggles they all faced here and what that meant for character development. Erin, specially, was called out on a few behaviors--though I do wish Morghan had been so as well lol
Draws you into their world from page one. Taking you away from the everyday world and into the theirs, living with them hearing every sound, smell and the wind of The Grove in your hair. This book is so well written you believe you are part of The Grove.
I was very disappointed with this book the characters were drawn out through long descriptions of Druid/ pagan ceremonies. I lost all feeling for the individual characters and found myself very bored at points.
I was Blessed with the first book in this series as a gift from the heart of a dear friend and kindred spirit who possesses an internal strength I strive to obtain. As always she knows me well. After reading only a few pages, I purchased all I could find written by this incredible Author. This book is no exception, in having the ability to resonate with me and every fiber of my being. It speaks to my core beliefs & to what we all should know and hold within us as a truth. Goodness…compassion…empathy and so much more. Although this is a work of “fiction”, to me and my beliefs of what I know for fact…well let’s just say I hold it as non-fiction for its truths of Spirit. Blessed be.
Erins soul challenge makes this third addition to the series even better than the first two. This is teaching people high level soul alchemy, in fiction form.
The story with Winsome and Mariah, though somewhat predictable, was entertaining, especially when you add in the past life connection with Morghan. And the ending is intense, and beautiful.
Overall, this pagan-during-the-pandemic series is certainly one to get into and keep up with.
So far, the best of the series! There's still more for the final book to explore, but this one took the looser threads of the first two books and tied them quickly into a cohesive story. It definitely grabs harder and speeds you along with urgency. I'm very interested in seeing how the series wraps up, and take the interesting lessons I've learned from this story. Excellent read.
Another fantastic story of profound soul teaching. I'm not ready to leave the Wilde Grove. I will, most certainly ,be re-reading all these books again in a near future, after the messages, feelings and teaching sink in. Again and again.... what a beautiful work!
This series is glorious. This 3rd book blends well with first two. The three women at the center of the story are intriguing and believable. Women you want to know. The treatment of mystical faith is well done.
I've loved this series so much. Although fiction, as a practicing Druid it speaks to my soul. Highly recommend for those looking for a path if spirituality.
I'm enjoying these books and how the stories weave together our history woven in truth and how interconnected we are all to each other and our natural world.
DNF. I really enjoyed the first book in the Wilde Grove series and the second one was pretty good. But the author has a penchant for getting really stuck in character's heads for long periods of time, the character going on and on with internal monologue, and by book 3, it just became too annoying, giving the book a really over-written feel.
