Loved this series!

I'm not going to spoil the excellent storyline for anyone, but the reader is dragged up off their seat and carried along for the ride. It's exciting and furiously page-turningly good. You won't be able to put it down.

Each book just gets faster and faster, better and better, and the intrigue, tension, and fear factor levels just keep on rising. You'd better buckle yourself up and keep your sick bag handy, because this feels worse than a fast car chase down that long and winding road in San Francisco.

WARNING: Do NOT read book four on public transportation or with other people in the same room as you. This story made me HOWL with tears from the bottom of my soul with grief, anger, and complete helplessness. Really, really, UGLY crying. Reader - it's in your own hands now.

You crushed me, Carissa Andrews. Totally. My emotions were jingling. Absolutely and utterly fantastic!

This is a 4 book omnibus worth every penny. I devoured this in a week, it was so good! The author knows how to keep you reading by not revealing everything at once, she spreads it out across all four novels and keeps you breathless until the last page. This has everything that a supernatural series should have, romance, supernatural beings, and a supernatural school. The one thing that sets this apart from most supernatural series I have read is that both humans and supernaturals live in harmony together. They help one another and live amongst each other. I absolutely fell in love with all of the characters in this series, even the bad ones have redeemable points. I am now proudly a lifelong fan of this author and will devour anything she puts out in the future.

The ending to the series, although, the author wrote: “The End (For now…)” was certainly exciting. I highly recommend this series. It took me just under a week to finish all 4 books, because it was almost impossible to put each of the books down. The story was surprising, and exciting, and touching. There were some grammatical errors, but they didn’t detract from the story. I first read Carissa Andrews’ book, “Oracle,” which was blended seamlessly with this series; having some of the same characters. I will certainly read more by this author.

You really don't want to miss this one! If you like gothic scary romances this is right up your alley. I even turned the light on when I went to bed, I did not want to sleep in the dark. The romance is lush and real, the house haunted and the truth unknown. Carissa's characters are rich in depth and relatability. Her world building had me looking over my shoulder and creeped out. Ms. Andrews talent at story telling is exceptional, p.s. have a case of kleenex on hand you will need it.

I liked books 1 & 3 the most. Parts 2 & 4 were okay, didn’t like how it ended. Overall, a 4 star, but could’ve been a 5.
