The Chinese have a new intercontinental high-speed mag-lev train named the Dragon that they want to present to the world by hosting a special promotional trip from Shanghai to London. Britain’s Princess Royal Mary and her friends have been invited to be part of the select few guests and her husband Captain Marty Michaels has invited his old friend Tuck Baird to join them. Even though no American’s will be aboard, President Prescott has figured out ways to sneak them on intending to figure out any potential threat the Dragon might pose to U.S. security.

Very exciting, detailed story but it was resolved to unbelievably easy at the end.

Footnote: 1) The character Princess Royal Mary is so obviously based on the Princess Royal Anne that I’m surprised the author didn’t get in trouble for it. Just switch trains for horses and you’ve got it. But then the character is presented so well that maybe she didn’t mind.

Fave scenes: Rafe’s conversation with his ex-commandant, Chastain’s trance, Rafe & Tuck’s discovery and Madeleine & the wooden lid.

Very Interesting Series

This is one of the best series of books I have ever read except for two in which for some strange reason the writer decides to throw in some filthy language. It was at the end of one book and the beginning of the next one. I almost stopped there and refused to read any further but I looked ahead to see if it happened again and strangely enough, it didn't. I can't understand the logic behind throwing it in a couple of paragraphs!

Wonderful

Exciting concept out of China, a thrill for all of Europe. Unfortunately not all are what or who they're supposed to be. With only 4 on board trying to figure out who' s who and what are they up to things get a little tense. Q comes across Chastain/Nostradamus who in the only way he can - saves the days. Great story. Love the President's dozen/14. Thank you.

fun read

Although kind felt like rushed ending. Things seemed to seep up it felt just end it. It would’ve been nice to know what happened with the train and the edits idea and where that was going.
