Not Quite What I’d Hoped
This book is another one of the author’s survey books about a broad spirituality topic, in this case divination. The book is only 124 PDF pages, so the author does not go into any great depth about the topics, which include astrology, numerology, palmistry, rune-casting, and the tarot. The rune-casting and tarot get several chapters (two and three respectively), while the others get just one. For the topics I knew something about, like tarot and astrology, I thought the author oversimplified them. Even natal astrology has more to it than the author states. I don't expect a survey book such as this to divulge everything about astrology, but the author shouldn't provide definitions that only tell a part of the story. Definitions are short and so should be fully accurate, even if all is not further explored. While I had heard of rune-casting and palmistry, of course, neither are metaphysical topics I know a lot about. I found the palmistry section woefully incomplete and hard to follow at times. For instance, she didn't even give the location of the marriage line or discuss where lines begin and end. As the book has no illustrations, I was forced on more than one occasion to look up the visual aspects of not only the palmistry chapter but the rune-casting ones as well. The book certainly needed illustrations for charts (palmistry and an astrology example) and spreads (rune-casting and tarot); words can only say so much, and an illustration can make things instantly clear. So much of divination is visual that it detracted from the book not to have them. The author has full books on all these topics (even 12 on the zodiac signs). Reading this survey book will help you understand if you want to dive deeper into the topics with the author in her other books.

Its chapters, which were well instructional, provided interesting guidelines & trivial history, especially facts! I enjoyed reading it mostly for simple knowledge to be honest - and I hope to pursue the next book of crystal divination! Thank you so much!
