I hate Victor Santarossa.

I hate him so much I want to rip his shriveled heart out of his chest.

Now my father insists I must marry Victor and be his meek and obedient wife so there can finally be peace between our families.

But I don’t want peace.

I want war.

I want to burn his family’s whole empire down and him along with it.

Victor hates me too.

He swears he’ll destroy me until there’s nothing left of me.

But things aren’t always what they seem, and there’s a spark between us that threatens to consume us.

Will we be each other’s destruction or salvation?

Ashes is a standalone arranged marriage mafia romance with potentially triggering situations intended for mature audiences.

Rated 3 - This was an enemies to lovers forced arranged marriage between two people who initially hate each other and want to kill the other person because they have been led to believe that each played a major role in the death of their siblings.

Both fathers framed the "big lie" in order to save face at what they considered unforgivable actions of their late sons' that would ultimately destroy both of them. The story progresses with the main characters finding out the truth behind their brother's deaths and enacting revenge on the very people "daddy dearest 1&2" responsible for it.

It's a different twist for a Mafia story with characters that were entertaining in their own right and who were able to personally enact their revenge for the death of their brothers as well as find a relationship between them that either thought was possible..

I didn't care for the ending; thus the 3 rating. The writing, characters and editing were good.
