Karma?

This was a definite miss for me. My major conflict was trying to root for an unlikable heroine who traded ambition to be a kept woman of a kingpin whose infidelity was a constant.

It just happened to be coincidental for Renzo (ten-yr older dude) just so happened to bring Tayla to the crime scene where Nico's being arrested. Did Renzo setup Nico to get him out of the way so he could have to her knowing how vulnerable she would be? Considering Tayla's environment, she had to have heard all kinds of stories about relationships, plus the street talks. For 7 years (Tayla was age 17 -24), women approached her routinely resulting in her fighting over a womanizing who promised to wife her but she had no ring and too hope. Trying to maintain her position as "wifey", she had two miscarriages resulting in no full-term pregnancy, more stress, and disappointment. Meanwhile instead of shopping (spending), how about stashing (saving ) just in case, Renzo gets snatched like Nico did REMEMBER or to open a day care center??? In seven years the only thing that happened is shopping and looking like the baddest chick. After playing wifey for 7 years and sporting matching tattoos, her focus is on Renzo's promised marriage proposal.

Good Read

This never was a quick fast pace read. Enjoyed it from beginning to end. Definitely, was living in a fairy tale of lies and more lies. Who do you trust and who's loyal. Tayla, had blinders on and was glad she finally took them off. And that she survived the game. Good job Thee Tasha Marie.

ok

The book started off hood but towards the end it was just stupid. I think before authors attempt to write hood books that they should actually do some research first. No one steals a drug dealers money and moves to the next town over lol. And you definitely don’t go back to the town that you did the dirt in. This book had so much potential bug it seemed that the author rushed the end so she just put anything.

Good Read

I'm glad Nico and Tayla got their happy ending.. Lorenzo and Marla got exactly what they deserved. I knew her mom was up to no good. I felt bad for CiCi but Tayla tried talking to her. She wouldn't listen. She actually walked right into Lorenzo trap. Another winner ....Thee Tasha Marie did it again. Good job!

Whew! Fast

Tay, Renzo and Nico….what a story! When you are young, dumb and impressionable, you don’t think about the realities of life until it’s almost too late. But second chances…

Wow, what a great read! Loved me some Tay but she was really naive about what would happen after stealing from a drug dealer! Marla was a snake to snitch out her daughter but looked what happened to her! Wished Tay would have listened to her best friend CiCi!

I was glued to this book from the first chapter. Lorenzo played Tay, and she turned around and played him back. The best person won.

Glad Nico and Taylor was reconciled but it cost her so much the death of her best friend. Her Mother was wrong for setting her up and Lorenzo was a snake preying on her knowing she had no one
