The Blue-Eyed Devil

Rate this book
On a hallowed night, the love of my life gambled me away to the Devil.

Once upon a myth...
A Devil with the face of an angel ruled New York.

Salvi Moretti returns.
A Don to one of the five families of the La Cosa Nostra.

He's a notorious gangster wrapped in an Armani suit that reigns in hell. The villain of every love story. He is a powerful aristocrat, a savage, and a wicked man who likes a challenge.

I'm his new challenge. His new obsession.

I'm a wealthy and privileged Catholic girl who's returned from studying law abroad. It was a night out with my boyfriend, Adamo, when everything descended into chaos at the casino. He lost and gambled me away.

Years ago, I took a vow of celibacy, but now a sadistic man tempts me with the dark side—the blond hair, blue-eyed older casino billionaire with tattoos on his hands, and his lips formed in a teasing smile.

My name is Ehva, and I have a confession to make. I fell in love with the Devil... and now, no one can save me from this hell. His disturbing love is so powerful, it becomes dangerous. As his obsession metastasizes, he wants to marry me, and I say...I do.

Welcome to New York's Underworld.

I am always so picky regarding Italian mafia books. The men in the organization tend to be vicious and brutal. Attack when least expect. This is What I expect. Salvi Moretti is all that and more. Salvi is a Newer school vs. an old school, and the author did add the five families into the book. Kudos to the author on that little fact. It's gray on my dark scale.

Ehva Rossi is a religious woman and a lawyer. With a boyfriend cheating on her behind her back. Then the devil walks into her life disguised as Salvi. And he is so tempting. The devil himself has alternative motives, and our Eva is too good of a person to see it. Don’t get me wrong, she is no doormat. She is stronger than you think. I have a feeling she will be a force to wreck within the next book.

The story is very interesting. Angel vs Devil. , My heart broke for Ehva, and how her family treated her after her father's death and for another event in the book.

Salvi, whom I hate to love, seeks revenge and is hot as hell. Blue-Eyed Devil is my first
book and surely not my last from this author. If you can impress me on The Italian Mafia World, you’re a one-click author to me.

The book does end in a cliffhanger, and I'm highly intrigued by how the author is
going to spin this around; I feel Salvi hasn’t seen what Ehva can do. I am so
excited and now to patiently wait for the next book.

Well, this was pure garbage. I tried it because I’m a sucker for anything with “devil” in the title, apparently. Plus, with it being Halloween today, having the story here start on Hallows Eve seemed like a win-win.

What’s wrong with it? The writing is awful, juvenile (my English 101 prof would have a field day with this), and just plain bad. The author’s inability to string a sentence together was making me insane. How someone can get a book published that doesn’t know how to use a comma just baffles me. It was too cringe-inducing to continue.

Also, the fact that authors that are most likely not American, yet still drawing American characters always makes me crazy. I made it to about 23% and then skimmed a bit to see if the storyline would catch my interest. It didn’t, so I quit, and it’s a dnf.

Side note: It’s fine if you’re not an American and you’re writing American characters, but please for the love of God, have an American friend proofread a copy for you. There are most likely subtle nuances you are missing, and if they’re left in there they ultimately become too distracting for readers.

One generous star. Save yourself and find another Halloween read.

STORY:
I’ve followed Salvi in Beauty and the Beast series. In A Beauty So Cruel, hate him. In A Beast So Cold, loved him. He dominated that book for me. In his story, The Blued Eyed Devil, he’s batshit crazy.

I rated this 3 stars because for me; it means I still like the story/characters, however, there was a but. From the moment the story starts, Salvi pulled you in with his mysterious side. The author did his POV a little different. The way he is speaking and conveying to us, the reader, his thoughts and what he is doing, it felt like it was done in a creepy psychopath way which isn’t bad. Salvi’s character is a little different to me than in A Beast So Cold. He is very intense, obsessive, possessive, crazy and stalkerish towards Ehva. He truly acted like a serpent moving in on a prey. Ehva was very innocent. She definitely struggles with being a good girl and not falling into Salvi’s web. Her family treated her like the outcast or not so well. The majority of book 1 was really about the pull and tug of Salvi and Ehva.

What I was really looking forward to was the mafia activity. It wasn’t really as strong for me in book 1. From what I read so far from this author, she gives you a little excitement with a secondary plot and I did not feel it as much here for me personally, others may feel differently. But if you are rating Salvi’s craziness with Ehva 4/5.

SEXUAL CHEMISTRY:
Sex scenes were satisfactory. But the tempting and seductive side of Salvi was good.

SECONDARY CHARACTERS:
I like Romeo, Salvi’s brother and second in command. There were definitely interesting characters that added to the appeal of the story.

OVERALL:
I like the craziness, obsessive and possessive side of Salvi. It added to the dark appeal of this book.

TRIGGERS: a lot of religious references and how it was use can offend some and violence.

****I don’t equate these stories to real life. It’s about personal taste and what you would or want to tolerate with the books you read. I know we all have different opinions and preferences with what we read. I based my book reviews on my preferences and what I like, and while these preferences may not be the same for others, I hope this review was still helpful.

BLOWN AWAY!

Dark, Scary and Sinful

I was so excited when I realised this book was about Salvi Moretti who was also in A Beast So Cold. After what he did for Dahlia in the prison I thought he was the better choice over Vlad.

But now he has his eye on Ehva and I have to say he is not making it easy for her to say no, I was completely pulled into Ehva world, and was on the edge of my seat watching as her life slowly started to unravel from the very being when her boyfriend Adamo bet her away at the casino owned by Salvi.

This book was fast pace with lots of suspense and the plot twist were well thought out and executed, I had to close my mouth at the end of the book I was in shock and couldn't believe what I had just read, I really need the next book like yesterday.

Clear your schedule your not going to want to put this one down so good.

I received an ARC copy of this book and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

4.5 still in shock stars lol

Okay confession and perhaps unpopular opinion, I love to hate Salvi lol I’ve had this deep rooted dislike towards him since meeting him in 𝗔 𝗕𝗲𝗮𝘂𝘁𝘆 𝗦𝗼 𝗖𝗿𝘂𝗲𝗹. Of course, that just goes to show how brilliant Beena Khan’s writing is as she really goes there with her characters. Her books are HAUNTING. They’re both beautiful and dark. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗹𝘂𝗲 𝗘𝘆𝗲𝗱 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗹 blew my mind for sure.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗹𝘂𝗲 𝗘𝘆𝗲𝗱 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗹 is a modern day Lucifer and Eve retelling! How epic is that? Beena Khan is the queen of retellings. I was so not ready for this book or for Salvi!

Gosh was I surprised at how charismatic and sweet he was… at first. Lol Just when I thought Salvi was reformed, with an inkling of fear throughout the novel that the other shoe was going to drop, it did. And wow, Beena did not disappoint with an epic cliffhanger with the most unbelievable ending.

There’s always surprises in her books that keep you on your toes. Once I started this I couldn’t put it down.

Evha is sweet, soft, angelic and innocent. She is a lawyer working a case for the Don of the New York Underworld. What unfolds is nothing that you’d expect. Let’s be honest… Salvi Moretti really is the Devil 😈

I have faith that we will get a heart wrenching, yet deeply satisfying ending to this opposites attract dark novel.

This book wasn’t for me. It was in need of a professional editor.
The ideas were good.
The lead female character lacked a backbone and was overly neurotic and put a whole new spin on dramatic world views.

The whole writing and its style was a bloody mess at times. Whole sentences that didn’t make any sense at all, missing words, descriptions misplaced in the current scenes, seemingly thrown in for no apparent reason. A whirlwind of random and repeating thoughts splashed over several pages with the end result of only 10 sentences having actual meaning.

What I found oddly weird was that many descriptions were fairly out of context.

That she met her boyfriend in a restaurant, was simply dumbed between descriptions of her familial situation and her education. But nothing more about her boyfriend or what was so important that she had to mention that they had met in a restaurant without any more information surrounding that seemingly again random fact.

Same goes with the poetic descriptions of her surroundings and nature with no context to the situation at the time at all. It felt like her brain shut down and she was catapulted in a whole new bubble of her own. Until the book resumed its real and actual plot again.
And those were not the only instances were logic and rationality left the pages.
To gamble a person away, for a lawyer, as her profession she is forced to remind the reader several times of, whose job it is to argue and twist facts to her benefit, the female lead was constantly speechless. And seldom if at all did something profound leave her mouth, even I could have come up with several arguments making her point and I am far away from being a lawyer. So yeah… it all didn’t make much sense and was little thought through.

The female leads descriptions of her looks, her luxurious home and attitude in the first view pages, were also very vain and irritating. It didn’t fit with her profession and age and sounded more like a high school girl. Even pitiful when she mentioned she felt so insecure about her nose being slightly upturned.
The female lead character is acting weird, somehow she is an accomplished lawyer, but acts like a repressed and insecure teenager when it comes to her secret boyfriend.

When I was just about to close this book for good, chapter 4 turned out to be promising again, told in the first person of the male lead, it started out intriguing. Until the female lead entered the picture and suddenly the writing changed again and the male lead constantly talked with his thoughts directly to the female lead like a psycho. It was an endless droning on, bloated words and pompous self praising… blah blah blah … it was unbearable.

I sadly didn’t make it long before I completely gave up. Even as it was a free book, I wasn’t willing to invest any more time.

ARC kindly provided by the author in exchange of an honest review. Thank you, Beena! ❤️

This book is twisted and dark and sometimes hard to digest, but it’s also very smartly written and the actions are so intriguing, that you need to read without stopping or you might feel like your breath is captive in its pages.

So, I got used to the dark stories Beena is writing. But I loved this one the most. I needed a book about Salvi, but I didn’t expect to need a book about the Angel’s revenge.

I can’t wait to see if the angel falls for the psychopath brother. I really hope so. 🙈

Favorite quotes:
“He’s more like the Devil reincarnated, but then again, the devil was once an angel.”
“You still haven’t let go of me, clinging to me like a boat attached to its shore, reluctant to leave.”

When I first started the book, I didn't read any reviews so I had no idea what to expect. The start was scary and had a suspenseful vibe. Salvi was such a psychopath and everytime he smiled, it gave me goosebumps. Ehva was innocent and naive but she somehow held her ground. The twist in the last few chapters made my heart break for her. All the lies, deception and chaos that was put into her life was really cruel. I just wish she could get her revenge and fight for herself. I'm excited to go read the next book and find out what happens in the conclusion. Tbh, I don't want her to forgive Salvi easily though. I'm just so pissed and I want him to grovel a lot.

Note: The blue-eyed devil is a spin off of the beauty and the beast series, if you haven't read the first two books of that series you probably don't understand some things. So I recommend you read a beauty so cruel and a beast so cold first.

ARC kindly provided by the author in exchange of an honest review

OMG I DON'T KNOW WHERE TO START, I NEED A SECOND BOOK NOW

We finally know what happened to Salvi after a beast so cold because this book is two years later.
Ehva Rossi is a completely different character from others that Beena has written, I feel that she always had this duality of good and evil in her but she never accepted it, but when Salvi came into her life she was able to accept parts of her, I liked everything about her and I want to see the new her.

Salvi Moretti is a character that I liked a lot in beast so cold, because we could never read his POVand at the beginning it was a complete surprise to know that he was still thinking about Dahlia.
I liked reading this part of him and getting to know him better and seeing how his relationship with Ehva developed, the blue-eyed devil completely won my heart in this book and even at this moment I want to hate him and I can't, because I understand his reasons but I suffer for Ehva because she doesn't deserve it.

The Beena girl plot you did it again, I am very surprised because I did not expect that connection.

Baby Moretti is another character that has my attention, although he is a psychopath as Dahlia calls him, he is a psychopath that I want to read and more after that end so I hope I can read more about him in the next book.

My queen Dahlia came back and couldn't choose a better time and I love that she came back with her little baby Rafe and Vlad my man I LOVE THEM AND I MISS THEM 🥺

I can't wait to read the second book and see the new Ehva❤️

Skimmed through this. 🫨
I was sooo looking forward to this story and when I started it, it wasnt that bad. However, the writing style wasn't my cup of tea and I wasn't a fan of the way it was written. The heroine was annoying, for someone who was supposed to be a criminal lawyer, she was dumb af. 🙄 It was when I got to the Hs' POV that things went downhill. He kept referring to the heroine as a you. "You did this....you looked at me like this" blaa blaa blaa.
Like cmon, am I in the netlix show You. Is he Joe Goldberg now??!!!???🤷🏻‍♀️

In addition to this, the author kept going on and on about the H and his smile. Like I get itttt, he is a Mafia Don who smiles even though he is a ruthless killer. It was soo annoying. 😫🫠🫠

Also let's not forget the fact that the heroine was dating a man for two months at the beginning of the book. A man who treated her like shit and never showed her any affection. She also had a piece of shit YOUNGER brother who treated her like shit. She was supposed to be this independent and strong career woman and she acted dense throughout the book. 💀✋️ She was literally being dramatic after her bf OF TWO MONTHS OR SOME SHIT betrayed her. Like are we in love island 🏝 that you wanna act like you were in love this whole time. Give me a break. 🥴 😪 🙄

Anyways I skipped through to the end and went on to skim through the next book too cause I'm nosy af and wanted to see grovelling. (WHICH THERE WAS NONE OF BTW)
Did not like this AT ALL. 👋🗑 One 🌟 because it only interested me enough to continue skimming through the book, same goes for the second one. 👍

****I Received an Arc for an honest review of this book.***

Do you like retellings? Have you read a Lucifer and Eve retelling?

I was all for this type of retelling. I been reading a lot of Hades and Persephone retelling and really enjoy them. I haven’t read a lot of Lucifer and eve books though. The Blue Eyed Devil is a dark mafia romance. Salvi Moretti is a Don of one of the five ruling families. Yes!! This devil wears Armani in blue of course. He is a feared notorious gangster with eyes set on Ehva. She is a pious women that has been saving her virtue for marriage. She has just returned to the states from studying abroad and has recently become a lawyer in a firm. She has a boyfriend Adamo that she has been seeing for a few months but questions his interest as just seems not that invested in her. She agrees to go out with him to a Halloween party at the casino. Adamo decides to play some high stakes poker and gambles Ehva away. Little Does Ehva know that the Devil is waiting to make her his.

Salvi is an older mature dangerous man that hides behind friendly smile.
Ehva Is curious but keeps a safe distance. Salvi is relentless in his pursuit and is not willing to allow to get away.
I really enjoyed this Dark Age gap romance. I was already expecting some darker themes because it's a mafia story. What mafia romance doesn’t having murder and torture included. If your not into dark themes I would certainly read the trigger warnings prior to reading. The book has dual perspectives which I really enjoy and it is written in first person. Salvi is definitely dark and twisted with a thirst for blood but he can tell underneath there is hidden softness to him. Ehva appears to stir these emotions in him. Ehva is a girl that has experienced loss and misfortune. She just wants someone to take interest in her. Salvi does but she fears him and does not trust him. Overall this is a great story. I didn’t anticipate the ending. I was thoroughly invested in the characters and wanted Ehva to accept Salvi. This book ends on a cliff hanger. Its great though because we get more of the story and characters. I highly recommend this book especially if you love dark, mafia romance.

The review of this new volume is finally here and despite everything I can say I always wanna thank Beena for sharing more of her work with me again, it's always a pleasure to have time between my busy schedule and life with good stories to read.

*I TRY TO NOT SAY MANY SPOILERS BUT CONTINUE READING IF U ARE INTERESTED*

So, since I meet Salvi Moretti in A Beast So Cold I just knew I would give everything to have more of him, I didn't care where or when, just knew Salvi deserve a book and how excited I got when Beena told me that he would got what we asked. Salvi's story is just UFF, I recieved my copy a week ago and is time when I cann't stop thinking about them and how HOW, I will wait to have the second part in my hands.

This story is different of what I had read before, not only with Beena's work and I feel I have to justify myself: I'm a catholic and open mind girl, and have to say that I still felt speachless of what I read, I don't think in a bad way 'cause despite I'm a proud catholic woman, I'm also mature enought to recieve my first reading with an religious plot between and have my opinions in my best neutral way, but I know that many of us can sometimes not be mature enought, so If you think that since the beggining you're gonna get unconfortable or just judging, well, this isn't the story for u, and obvously everyone here will have differents opinions and that's ok if we all know how to respect.

Ehva Rossi is a devoted and catholic woman that I guess Beena created inspired by the history and character of Eva's tentation at the Holy Bible, I was a bit exhasperant because I know this history and I know it can be seen as controversial, but again, my opinions figth to be neutral and out of my credences. And for the other side we have the famous Salvi Moretti that comes here being a character, how can I say? More hated than the love with we all fall for him in A beast so cold, and I hope you read the book to find out why we probably will want to k**l Salvi Moretti more than once, also kiss him but punch him this time is the first think that comes to my mind.

I can easily say that this might be my fav book that Beena has shared with me 'cause I enjoyed the mistery and "forbideen" vibe that this reading felt like, specially at the end. I had to say that at the beggining I was a bit desesperated of a lot of description to Salvi as "The Devil" and I had to jump pages 'cause it felt like the same, but after that, I really can't get enought even if I had a lot of things to do. This book gives mistery, dark romance that def isn't something I would dream to have in my life 'cause if we started since the fact that Salvi has a Joe Goldberg complex that is totally the BIG RED FLAG as Salvi being an stalker or that he ki**s people and much more that you can find if u read in this book, the erotism is high and good for the kind of plot that the book has but it doesn't mean it were "dreamy" and I hope everyone reading this have the same concludes as me pls.
Despite that "toxic" and intense relationship, the book gives balance between sweet moments, drama (u might cry a bit) and lessons that I really can't wait to see how it works at the second part, so yes, the book ends in cliffhahger, the perfect to be anxious to have more.

These are practically my general points with not clear spoilers, I can recomend u this story if you feel mature and ready for a story that has enought warnings and needs respect, as always.
I really don't know how I will wait to have more of my sweet Ehva and how her development deserves to be but in the waiting I can have more and more theories of how she will steal the next part :)

The Blue-Eyed Devil by Beena Khan

Review:

The Blue-eyed Devil: Devil’s Lair book 1, a modern retelling of LuciferEve story. I am aware of Miss Khan’s books being retellings but this is my first time to read her work.

First things first, Holy Sh*t this book is so good. It’s a book that has me caught off guard. Honestly, I didn’t know what to expect but I push through and it’s the best decision ever.

The Story is loosely based on the myth of Lucifer & Eve. Welcome to New York's Underworld.

Lucifer is Salvi Moretti, the ruler Don of the Italian Mafia in New York. His blue eyes will pierce into your soul and his weapon of smile will make you drop to your knees. He is ruthless, cruel but at the same time charismatic and sensual. No wonder, Eve or what he calls her “little Evha” falls for him.

They met in an unfortunate incident and from there Evha has become his obsession. The first half part of the book described how Evha is a religious, downright moral person who lived in her belief of marriage before sex, but the devil Salvi’s compulsion and charisma is just too strong that it made her surrender. The plot twist in this book is so surprisingly good, I was shocked and hurt and the pain is unbearable. Good job to the author for making me feel a lot for the characters and what’s in store for the sequel as this book ends in a cliffhanger.

This is a well written book, amazing characters and the story will suck you in and you’ll beg for more. I cannot wait for the next book. Five Stars!

Oh wow, this book was amazing. It's dark, it's disturbing and such a good read. Ehva is innocent and good and Salvi is exactly the opposite. He's dangerous, unpredictable but oh so tempting. Ehva is drawn to him just about as much as she fears him, and with good reason, and Salvi will do whatever it takes to get Ehva. I really loved the plot of the story and how it's a spin to Lucifer and Eve. The characters are very interesting and I liked how it played out between them. I absolutely did not see that ending coming, which by the way ends on a cliffhanger. It was a very entertaining book and I can't wait to see what happens next.

Really!!!! Beena killed this one! I absolutely loved the “Devil loves Angel” vibes. The Italian Mafia with the 5 families introduced sets the world up perfectly with the New Vs Old school. The character depth that she always creates sucks you in. This book is a page turner with one hell of a story playing out. This book does end on a cliffhanger so grab your big girl panties because wow! This book is one of my top 10 books I have read this year! Absolutely loved it!

Beena brings us her Devil's Lair Series.
Salvi is one of the Dons to the Five families. He meets Elva outside his Casino one night and instantly becomes obsessed with her. Elva a good catholic girl tries to keep her distance for Salvi and his Devilish ways. She took a vow years ago to protect her celibacy.
The plot was remarkable, it was fast flowing, and I relished every word. I've been waiting for Salvi since his appearance in Beena's Beauty and the Beast series, and Beena did not disappoint.
If you like Dark Mafia Romance with a Devilish, obsessive Lead male, this is for you.
Take note of the trigger warnings, and love the spice.

The Blue-Eyed Devil by Beena Khan is a modern day Lucifer and Eve Dark Mafia Romance. This is the first book in the Devil's Lair series.

This is the first book of Beena's that I have read and it won't be my last. In took me a while into get into the story, but I am glad I pushed through because I was hooked by the end.

The relationship between Ehva and Salvi is messed up but the dark side of brain can't help but root for them. I loved that we got both of their points of view throughout the story. It really brought the story to life.

The book ends on an amazing cliffhanger that left me begging for more! I can't wait for the next book in the series The Fallen Angel to be released on December 7, 2021.

I would recommend this book if you like modern day retellings, dark romances, mafia romances, or billionaire romances.

I tried I really tried to get through this book but omg

“Hey there, Angel.
You don’t know who I am, but I come into people’s lives like a creature of the ominous night.
I’m the tall, charming stranger you might meet one day.
The one dressed in an expensive navy-blue satin Armani suit. The one whose blue eyes will twinkle at you. Whose mouth will laugh with you.”

The book starts with this and y’all already know I’m like umm…okay. Like it’s giving Wattpad or like when your 6th grade teacher tells you to write a ‘horror’ story like tell me who’s scared of a mf who describes their blue eyes as twinkling at u. Also this is where the blue-eyed devil shit starts and oml I’m begging the author to stop idgaf abt the color of their eyes. Then when she introduces the main girl eve she just info dumps

“My father was a businessman, and he never went to business school, but he had the ambition and drive that brought him to the top. The smile on my face fades as I remember my deceased beloved father’s smile. I miss him every day, and I wish he could’ve been there for my commencement ceremony, the day I graduated from law school when I turned twenty-five and became a lawyer.
I received a job offer in New York at S&M Partners. After my father passed away, my younger brother ran our clothing business line ROSSI. It wasn’t something that I saw myself doing, so I happily passed the baton to Diego.”

I liked my dad and was sad he died and I have younger btw and also I’m a lawyer and I work here and and and like show not tell goddamn. There’s then this quote that just…

“Halloween is just an excuse for girls to dress slutty and not a single soul can point their fingers at us. A day for one of my deepest, darkest desires to come out.”

You watched mean girls huh

This is all like first 50 ish pages but the way ppl raved abt this book so I’m like okay let’s keep going but I can. He talked to her in the 2nd person idk why the author chose this but the only thing it led to for me was irritation and annoyance. If I have to hear abt his blue azure perfect eyes and his disarming smile that he uses as weapon which makes him different then all other dons because he smiles and it’s just like a magic smile bc he’s so hot. I do not care.

ARC kindly provided for the author in exchange for an honest review

I LOVED being able to enter Salvi Moretti's mind finally!👌 and in what way 😳 With The Blue-Eyes Devil Beena Khan has given us one of his best books 👏, showing a different side of the villain that we already hated and loved in the past, solving many doubts that remained after A Beast So Cold, and creating a wonderful, unexpected and perfect plot 🤩

Ehva is a good girl, a devout Catholic, a criminal lawyer and with a complicated family life 💔, she’s very different from the heroines that we have read from Beena so far, and I loved her 🥰, because despite her innocence and fear of what Salvi represents, she has a strong personality and a very particular courage 💞, she’s a good, kind soul who can see the good in people, as well as an interesting personal story full of surprises.

Salvi is still a cruel, ruthless and violent man, but this time we can also see a softer side of his personality 😍, an adorable, tender man who can empathize with Ehva's pain, at least in moments, but always without leaving to be him. I loved reading it with his cocky personality, his constant flirtation and knowing what happened to him after he was in prison.

Salvi & Ehva are totally opposites, but their chemistry is always there🔥, making Ehva constantly question her beliefs and faith, turning what Salvi had experienced so far upside down and giving me very funny, hot 🥵, and painful moments, well Salvi, true to his reputation, has a VERY IMPACTING plan hidden up his sleeve 💔😭, which leads me to count the days until the end of his story with Ehva! 😱

Beena Khan, ‘The Blue-Eyed Devil’.
Devil’s Lair, book one.
A Modern-Day Lucifer & Eve Dark Mafia Romance.

As an Hidden Gems ARC reader I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily wrote an honest review. Here it is.

Rating: 4 (of 5 stars).

In general: Angel falls for Devil.

Main characters:
- Ehva Rossi (+-26). She lived and studied in New Zealand and became a lawyer in New York. Her father started a very successful clothing business line, but died before she graduated law school. She isn’t interested in her dad’s firm, so agreed that her younger brother Diego now runs the family company. Since two months she dates Adamo, a gorgeous looking man, however he cheats on her behind her back.

- Salvi Moretti (35).
He’s the ruthless Don of the Italian mafia branch in New York, a smiling
blue-eyed devil, looking charming and gorgeous but in reality a cruel criminal.
His mafia organization owns casino’s to mask criminal activities.

Ehva meets Salvi for the first time when she and Adamo visit a Halloween party in one of Salvi’s casinos. Adamo gambled her away to the casino owner and Salvi finds her - devastated - in the parking. He sets her free, but manipulates his lawyer to make Ehva working for his organization.
The author, Beena Khan, describes how the deeply religious Ehva, hating Salvi’s mafia and cruelty falls in love with him. Charme, clever manipulations, physical attraction and lust are stronger than piety, religious values and a high morality from an angel.
As in Beena Khan’s other dark mafia romances, the lovely heroine falls for the cruel criminal. In more than half of this book (for me a bit overdone!) the strong Ehva looks for arguments to hate her mafia Don but again and again she lets herself be seduced. So, about this book - as about some other mafia romances from Beena Khan - I have credibility doubts.
But the novel is so well written, full of interesting scenes, sharp dialogues, clever analyses of the motives and feelings of the main characters that I got involved in the story and found it difficult to put my ipad aside. Moreover the plot had unexpected twists and a surprising ending. So I’m looking forward to the next novel in the ‘Devil’s Lair’ series.

Ugh! MY LOVE SALVI! SINCE I MET HIM IN A Beast So Cold I WANTED HIM TO HAVE A BOOK. HE HAD MY HEART AT THE END. I WAS SO EXCITED WHEN BEENA ANNOUNCED THAT HE WAS GETTING A BOOK. I WAS EVEN MORE EXCITED WHEN I GOT TO ARC READ THIS BOOK. IT IS SAFE TO SAY, BEENA DELIVERED!! THIS BOOK, LIKE EVERY OTHER BOOK BY THIS AUTHOR, CONSUMED ME. I CAN'T WAIT FOR BOOK 2. THE WAIT IS GOING TO KILL ME BUT SALVI AND EVHA ARE WORTH IT.

The blue-eyes devil is Beena’s spin on Lucifer-Eve and my godness has she remained true to that.

Salvi Moretti is everything you’d love to hate and hate to love, and Eva with her dreams is a breath of fresh air. Salvi is a villain, bad to the bone so for the sake of your sanity don’t go in expecting a hero.

Salvi and Ehva are chaos, paradise in ruins and I legit can’t wait for their second book. This is so hard writing this without spilling😭

Also a character that particularly intrigued me was Romeo Moretti and I would really like to see what’s his story!

Wow!!! The twist in this book is just unbelievable! At first i struggled to start this book but after the first few chapters i was sucked in and i was left craving more by the end. Salvi appears to be a charming Don in the Mafia and he has his sights set on the innocent Ehva. She spurns his advances at first but the Blue Eyed Devil does not give up. You then learn his cruel side in one of the most brilliant plot twists i think i’ve ever read. I cannot wait for the next book to find out what Evha does next.

The Blue Eyed Devil is graphic, dark, and twisted. It’s a dark mafia romance that will have you gasping for more.

Ehva and Salvi’s story is just fantastic. You’ll really hate to love Salvi, but as the story goes on you just can’t help yourself. They’re explosive together and make for some steamy scenes.

See the Devil for yourself and start part 1 of this duet now.

Oh, my , gosh! Didn't see that coming!
I really like to fall for the bad boy main characters I read about. But Salvi is just too much! And Eva is so good.........
Angel. Devil. Light. Dark. Good. Bad. Push. Pull.
Very well written. Very well told!
How can this all play out. Bring on the next book.
