A cute little girl who happens to be a vampire, Karin has blood to spare, so rather than stealing blood from humans, she gives her blood to them, an experience that, if done right, benefits the "victim" as much as the vampire, but Karin never seems to do things right.
Yuna Kagesaki (影崎 由那 Kagesaki Yuna ) is a manga artist, born on March 3, 1973 , best known for being the author of the manga Chibi Vampire. Her work has been published under four different names: Yuna Kagesaki (影崎 由那 Kagesaki Yuna) (professionally published non-pornographic comics, except for Sakura no Ichiban), Yuna Kagezaki (影崎 由那 Kagezaki Yuna?) (same characters but different readings; only in Taishō Komachi Jikenchō Sakura no Ichiban!) Yūna Kagesaki (影崎 夕那 Kagesaki Yūna) (spelled with different kanji) when drawing CG's for PC games, and Yuta Kageyama (影山 由多 Kageyama Yuta) when drawing hentai manga or HCG's for PC games. Her real name is presumedly Keya, as she calls herself in the bonus comic strips at the end of volume 3 of her work Hekikai no AiON. In middle school she was a member of the brass band.
Karin struggles with her younger sister Anju growing apart from her now that she has become a full vampire and cannot eat with her and go out in the daylight. Karin is now struggling with feeling more alone now without being able to see her sister on top of her mother being away on a trip. She is also worried about the new revelations on why vampires and humans cannot be together that were revealed. If her and Kenta were to ever have children in the future, they could not reproduce. She fears her future may be short lived with Kenta and will they ever be able to take their relationship to the next level?
Meanwhile, Calera returns to the Marker family from visiting her birthplace with a shocking family secret of why Karin is such a unique vampire who can give an excess of blood instead of require more of it to satisfy hunger and trouble brews when it’s revealed that Tachibana, the half human and vampire who works with Karin and Kenta, finds out her uncle has sent her there to find a special vampire who can be put in the sunlight, Karin Makka. What does he want from her?
As the series winds down. This volume brings lots of humor and love between our favorite vampire/human couple big also brings together a lot of plot points . I’m excited to read the last two volumes to see how everything ends for our beloved vampire protagonist.
I know that a storm is a brewing, but I can’t stop reading! Seriously, I don’t want to experience the heartache that will happen in the last two volumes.
Very dramatic, and exciting. I am really enjoying this series. They kiss for the first time!!! Everything in the 1-11 volumes is leading up to this, so soak it in! Where do those fangs go?
My boyfriend lent me this, and even though it’s he 12th volume (I’d never read this before) there was a good summary so I wasn’t confused at all. I thought it was fun and cute, and I look forward to reading all of it.
I love the Chibi Vampire Series and so far the series has been going really well.
Volume 12 of the Chibi Vampire series has to be the best so far. This one gave some answers about why Karin is different from the rest of her family. Which made it a really really interesting book.
I loved the illustrations. I especially love the eyes and expressions on the faces of the people.
I found the 12th volume of Chibi Vampire to be really good. There were some new characters that were interesting and the ending of the book left me wanting the next book in the series. Lucky for me I happened to have that on hand too.
Also, I just have to mention the cover. It is so cute and so cool. I love Karin and Kenta as a couple.
Overall, Volume 12 of the Chibi Vampire series is totally awesome. If you haven't read any of the Chibi Vampire series you definitely should because they are really really awesome.
Quick thoughts: Another important volume as we head into endgame. Karin and Kenta's relationship continues to evolve in light of recent events involving Anju, and secrets regarding Karin's condition and Yuriya's true purpose come to light. This manga is building wonderfully towards some sort of conclusion.
Wow! Stuff happens again. I have to admit I assumed Chibi Vampire was like Ranma where things are the way they are "just because" and they were unlikely to change. Instead, Kagesaki is hinting that there's something special about Karin's condition.
I read this volume in one sitting, and pretty quickly, too. It's just so suspenseful!!
The story just keeps continuing, but with only two volumes left!! I really want them to come out already, because I want to find out what happens between Karin and Usui-kun!!
I really enjoyed this book for some reason. Perhaps it is because it's been a while since I read volume 11, or maybe it is because the romance aspect of the storyline is starting to develop, and the mystery behind the vampire society is deepening. Must read book 13!
Relationships and revelations abound in this volume as Karin and Kenta's reach a whole new level in their relationship. Also, the reason to Karin's unique abilities is finally revealed, as it creates a whole set of problems as well.
The complexity of this story continues to amaze me. I want to hug Karin really tight, and am thankful she has Kenta to hug her on the cover. Too sad sometimes, too sweet...too...ARGH...MUST KEEP READING!
Volume 11 and 12 have been my favorite volumes so far. So much happens and the storyline thickens. I loved the focus on Anju as well as other relationships such as Ren/Anju and others.
