Maya is new in town and from the first time Knox saw her he knew he wanted her. Maya has made some new friends since moving but she feels an unexplainable pull towards Knox. Unfortunately he makes her feel tongue tied and awkward whenever he’s around. Will these two get their act together and find out if what they feel is real? A nice steamy read with a great storyline. Many sizzling scenes between an older man and a younger woman. Looking forward to book 3. I received an arc copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Knox is the second book in the Heroes of Daisy Hills series. This story is about Fire Chief Knox Grant and librarian Maya Bennett. Maya is twenty-five years old and moved to Daisy Hills a year ago to become one of the librarians. At the same time her best friend, more like a sister, Reese also moved with her. Knox is forty years old and still since. In a small town like Daisy Hills everyone gossips and knows your business before you even know it. So when he first met Maya he knew he needed to stay away from her, even though he only wanted to take her and make her his. After all he did not want her to become gossip for the small town and he also thought people would find their age difference inappropriate. But things are getting harder as each month passes since Knox has to do a monthly fire safety inspection of the library and Maya is the one to lock the doors and accompany him on the inspection. This month things get really hard in multiple ways that lead to all sorts of satisfying fun....which leads to a lot of small town gossip. Sometimes when you know you just know and the opportunity for Knox to finally show just how a real man treats his woman is exactly what he is presented with regarding Maya. Once these two finally get together they can't keep their hands, and mouths, off each other and end up with more energy than the Energizer Bunny.

This is a fun, entertaining, sweet and spicy hot short story of delayed instant love. The story-line is nicely paced and plotted. The characters are lovable and well written. I loved this story that left a smile on my face and a blush on my cheeks.....RECOMMENDED READ for sure!!!

Guess I’m not getting my library fantasy filled today

This age-gap, small town romance story is about Maya and Knox. We meet her on her favourite day of the month – the first Wednesday. It’s the day her big crush Fire Chief Knox Grant comes to the library where she works as head librarian, to do his monthly fire code inspection. She makes a huge effort on choosing her dress for the day, and is quite clumsy once he enters her workplace, which is unlike her – except on those very days. What she doesn’t realise is that he finds that endearing – as with everything about her.

They both have the major hots for each other, but neither of them are remotely aware of course. So who will make the first move? Will their age gap cause problems? And if they don’t openly communicate and be totally trusting, will any chances of a happily ever after fade away?

It was humorous, a little bit dramatic, very hot and sweet. Some of their lines had me laughing out loud… “Damn you and your magical orgasms”. I loved their friends and how open, supportive and encouraging they were. And I’ll never look at a bookstore/café or romance section in the library the same way. Everyone will wonder why I’m smirking or smiling so much! And now I’m just looking forward to reading about her best friend Reese’s love story next! I give this book four and a half bodice-ripping stars.

Knox and Maja slobber each other since one year. Highlight is the monthly review of the librarian fire code inspections. They dance around each other cowardly , not able to put in words what's on their minds. Because of the age — gap.
I loved this book, and that Knox finally was able to ask Maja out. I enjoyed the banter between the two and that Maya was refreshingly open about erotic moments. So Kali Hart again created a book where you can leave the world behind and dive into the word of Daisy Hills. With again special erotic moments. And nice people who adore each other for a long time from a far distance. Its well written and both characters are well described.
Steamy, funny and witty. Enjoy!

First things first; I like the cover of this book!
Knox is the second book in the ‘’heroes of Daisy hills’’ series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. Maya has been attracted to the fire chief since she moved to Daisy hills. Knox wants Maya but with a big age gap, will he make a move?
The chemistry between Knox and Maya is clear to see and I liked them together.
I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I cannot wait for more books from this series.

I kind of loved this story. It was short but entertaining and enjoyable. The characters were easy to relate to and likable. Although I was surprised by how long Knox and Maya had been interested in each other but fighting it, with living in a small town, I understood each of their thought processes. Reese was an amazing best friend to Maya with her encouragement and support. Knox has great friends as well in Nathan and Bentley. The romance between Knox and Maya goes from zero to 100 and includes some steaminess. There is a tiny bit of drama/angst but it resolves quickly. I loved their happy ever after but I do wish there was another epilogue further out. I recommend reading this book.

Great book. Knox has wanted the head librarian since she came to town. In the beginning he thought he was too old for her but his feelings just keep getting stronger. He’s done waiting. Maya looks forward to the inspections every month because that’s when He comes in. Maya has wanted him for a year but thinks he would be interested in someone so much younger than him. When they finally confess their feelings an old friend could destroy it all. Will Knox step up and fight for Maya? Welcome back to Daisy Hills.

Woot book two in this series. Firefighter stories are one of my top favorite stories. She is new to the small town, and he is the fire chief. Upon their initial meeting, he is captivated by her. But being in a small town, there is always gossip. He does not want to subject her to all that. So he stays away, but as the months go on it becomes harder and harder. When one time there is something between them, the gossip starts up. With all the talk about the town, will they be able to have a relationship without everyone being in on their business?

This was a cute read in the Daisy Hills world. Maya has been crushing on the local Fire Chief since she moved to Daisy Hills. Knox has been just as interested but thought their age gap was too much for the small town. I felt like this was a lot of two steps forward, one step back. Maya was not your typical librarian, willing to be a little risqué with Knox. They definitely had the attraction but it felt like there was some stilted conversation and one big misunderstanding before these two got their HEA.

Knox & Maya have been secretly pining for each other for a year whilst she's had a string of 'boyfriends' and he's been eagerly awaiting his chance to make her his. Maya is working in the library when Knox turns up to do a fire check and the tension burns between them instantly especially after a incident brings them closer than they thought they would ever be. There connection only grows from there, there may be a ever so slight misinterpretation which only leads to Knox staking his claim and making Maya his forever!

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this story. I loveD how Knox tried to fight his attraction to Maya and how she acted all coy until the annual fundraiser. But true love won out and even with the hot steamy moments, the story was really enjoyable. There is a happily ever after in the end.

Another wonderful short hot romance that takes just a short time to read but packs a powerful punch. Knox is the fire chief and Maya works at the library and they have both been attracted to each other but she is fifteen years younger so he thinks he is too old for her but she does not care because she is crazy for him. When they finally get together it is explosive. Loved it.

Mutual attraction and desire from both Knox and Maya, yet neither want to make the first move. Enjoyed this steamy short story of this age gap romance. I love the setting of this Daisy Hills town, where everyone knows your business and then some. A great ending for this couple who are meant for each other.

Maya works at the library, Know is the Fire Chief. They both have had eyes on each other, but did not take the steps to do more than say hi. This is a heart warming story that will melt your heart and turn your head. The characters are perfectly written, that you can't help but get lost in the story.

Holy wow! Age-gap romance. It's really sad how many people concern themselves with what 'other people' think about their personal situation. Knox and Maya fell for one another instantly, but the 'threat' of gossiping people prevented him from asking her out for more than a year. Of course, their chemistry was off the charts. This is a must read and fantastic addition to the series!

Another entertaining book in this series called Heroes of Daisy Hills. The story flows well, the characters are likeable and fit well together. This is the story of Fire Chief Know and librarian Maya and their journey to their happily ever after. Looking forward to read the next book in this series.

So love this series of stories

Really enjoyed reading the love that grew between Maya and Knox. You'd think a man his age wouldn't be afraid to ask her out but Maya is a lot younger than him. Maya made him nervous and he made her nervous. It was the ages and chemistry playing games with them. Read this book, you'll kind of laugh with all of his boo boos. It's so good!!! :)

I adored this one. Great hero-a little nervous but totally in. Great heroine-when was the last time I read a non-shy slightly dirty librarian? Sweet and sexy, my absolute favorite. Also very well written and totally fleshed out for a short read.
