Since moving into my first apartment a few months ago, I have been desperate to get some greenery into my very beige apartment. So I was thrilled to get a copy of this book. Not only is it beautifully designed with a seamless, simple format and gorgeous pictures, but it also has basically everything in it for me to start buying and caring for houseplants. It seems more of a beginner guide, which is perfect for me, but not for someone who already knows a lot about plants. It discusses things like lighting, aesthetic, diagnosing plant diseases, different plant types, etc. This will be a book I will be frequently referencing as I start my collection of house plants!
A great book with helpful instructions and photographs. I like that they break it down for specific plants and not just discuss general care for a group/type of plant. My only complaint is that I wish the book discussed more in depth about diagnosing and treating conditions.
This is a very enjoyable overview of plant care. There is good detail of various components of soil and how to blend up a great mix for different sorts of plants. Pretty pictures added to my interest. A succinct listing of categories of plants made it plain how to treat them. General tips in care and pest treatment, propagation and potting on made this a short and sweet read.
Thank you to Page Street Publishing Co. for sending this book to me. I love how the author refers to the reader as a “plant parent!” I plan to give this to my daughter for her birthday tomorrow. She has become very interested in being an excellent plant mama.
Super informative with lots of nice photos! Definitely recommend if you’re a plant lover or want to start planting. Lots of fun and easy to follow DIY plant projects as well!
A great introductory book to houseplants. I liked that the book is broken down by sections from the type of soil to potting/repotting, houseplant and decor ideas. It also makes for a great coffee table book.
Just didn't capture my attention for some reason. I think if I was a beginner to the world of indoor plants, then it would have been more helpful. I did really like how the section on different houseplants includes pictures of some of the variations within a species--that was enjoyable to browse.
