Ada Aubin and June Rifkin's The Complete Book of Astrology is an easy-to-use guide to astrology--with resources and worksheets--revised and updated for the 21st century.
An easy-to-use guide to astrology that takes the user beyond the rudimentary basics of the sun sign and helps them gain insight into their personality and potential.
There is much more to Astrology than simply the sun sign. Both a science and an art form, astrology is as old as recorded human history. It is the "science of possibilities," showing the influence that the position and interaction of the planets at the time of birth have on a person's life, character, and innate potential.
The Complete Book of Astrology is a concise, easy-to-use guide that introduces and explores the sun signs, as well as ascendants, planets, houses, aspects, transits, and other advanced concepts that educate and enlighten.
With worksheets, and useful resources to help a user create their personal chart, The Complete Book of Astrology provides the knowledge and tools for readers who want to gain a deeper understanding of themselves and those around them.
A good book if you want natal charts explained in more detail than a regular free website would give you, but also doesn't overload you with information. With that said, I wish it went in just a little bit deeper into astrology as a whole. The opening chapters were very fascinating, covering the history of astrology as well as the concept of "Pre-destination versus Free Will." I wish these were expanded upon more, but overall gave a solid high level of every aspect of astrology.
Wow, what an antagonistic book. Full of absolutes (ie, “this person cannot keep a promise”) and outdated gendering (the male will blah-blah-blah, the mother will always this-and-that). Small tidbits were helpful. Mostly just felt like an overly generalized roast of humanity and the most superficial of sun-sign astrology.
Giveaway Winner: Loved this astrology book because it was very modern and in laymen terms. I’ve read a lot of snooze fest astrology books but this one is straight forward. The kind of things you read to your girls for fun. And tells about the signs in relationships, partnerships and etc. everything you would want to know. Thankyou for letting me review this book. I even use it in conversation starters.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. Complete Book of Astrology offers a serene and enlightening exploration of mindfulness, energy, and self-discovery. With practical guidance and spiritual wisdom, it’s a perfect read for anyone looking to deepen their practice, enhance their well-being, and connect with their inner self.
I think this is a good general guide to learn about astrology definitions and details. There are many books out there that are pretty similar. It’s not like this is the best or “complete” guide but it works.
It was interesting to learn definitions and basic outlines but overall it was contradicting and also very negative in my opinion.
Good follow up book to read after having my Natal Chart update meeting. A very basic introduction to astrology and the houses, planets, aspects, etc that make up the chart. Learned a lot with this review and plant to delve a little deeper into my natal chart influences as the year progresses.
Takes you through astrology from beginning to end and easily decodes your chart. I like the verbiage used because it plainly said what is usually confusing for me.
Ok, I've read a bunch of astrology books in my day and this is my most used, most torn, most worn book of them all. I'm sure it will be for the rest of my life. It's sitting next to my bed and pages are falling out now. It's accurate and detailed enough. Great stuff for beginners or the more advanced. I bought this book in the 90's and have been able to learn from it as I make new discoveries, throughout the years.
