Without a Doubt proves #1 New York Times bestselling author Nora Roberts is “the queen of romantic suspense” (The Columbus Dispatch) with these two novels of secrets and seduction.
Night Moves
When her husband died, Maggie Fitzgerald abandoned her career and place among the wealthy elite for a small town existence where she could grieve in peace and quiet. Her broken heart finds solace in the company of her landscaper, Cliff Delaney. But Cliff has a temperamental side, and when human bones are found on Maggie’s property, he becomes the police’s number one suspect. Obsessed with learning if the man she’s grown to love is capable of murder, Maggie puts her own life in a killer’s crosshairs…
This Magic Moment

Nora Roberts is the #1 New York Times bestselling author of more than 200 novels, including Hideaway, Under Currents, Come Sundown, The Awakening, Legacy, and coming in November 2021 -- The Becoming -- the second book in The Dragon Heart Legacy. She is also the author of the futuristic suspense In Death series written under the pen name J.D. Robb. There are more than 500 million copies of her books in print.
Certainly can see how Nora writes so many books - she has a formula that works for some readers. Frankly, there is just too much of the “her/his eyes darkened” - “crushing her mouth in a fierce kiss” - “he grabbed her arm to stop her from leaving” etc - for my taste. Skimmed the last few chapters just to be done, but did read to the end to see how the story closed, so my interest was there. Mildly entertaining. This review is not intended as a dig - just not my choice of storylines - names, careers, backstories and locations change - but the gist of the storyline remains the same in each book I’ve read by this writer.
Nora Roberts is an author I enjoy and when she offers two shorter novels under one cover, it hits the spot. Two of her romantic suspense works although I must say more romance and less mystery. If you are looking for a quick read of a talented writer that has a predictable plot but always with an unexpected twist this is an option I recommend.
Without a Doubt by Nora Roberts is a collection of two of her captivating romance novels titled Night Moves and This Magic Moment. Two intriguing love stories that are sure to sweep you off your feet and leave you wanting more. The characters are well-written with intriguing backstories that are sure to pull you in from the beginning and hold your attention until the very end. Without a Doubt is a must-read for fans of Nora Roberts.
If you're a fan of Nora Roberts' work in the last 20 years or so, this book will be somewhat disappointing. She's gotten so much better since these stories were written. You can see her style in there, but it hasn't fully formed yet.
Dumb. Liked the part about her composing, otherwise the guy who wouldn’t take no for an answer and controlled her. The mystery was put on the back burner for passion scenes- no redeeming qualities! Waste of time
I enjoyed both short stories - each had new mysterious vibes - in comparison the recent Nora Roberts' books I have read recently. They made for exciting quick reads! As always, the endings are a little too sudden for my liking... But overall, a good read!
Both stories kept my interest. The first story was a good mystery about family secrets uncovered while renovating a historic home. The second story dealt with a magician who lived in an isolated area in a grand home full of secrets.
