Sydney: I stopped in the local pub looking for a decent shepherd’s pie for my grandma when I was kicked out by the tall, muscled, devastatingly gorgeous owner. He was a jerk who rattled me to my bones, yet I can’t stop thinking about him. Hudson Wolf. He keeps finding excuses to see me even though I know he doesn't like me. I swear he’s even following me around just so we’ll bump into each other.
I’m not sure what he wants with a curvy girl like me who can hardly muster up the courage to talk to men, but each time I see him, my heart softens a little more. I just hope he doesn’t break it completely.
Hudson: My grandma is a meddling, gossiping matchmaker who is almost more trouble than she’s worth. She also may have found my future wife. Our first meeting went horribly wrong, and every time I try to make it up to her, I only seem to make it worse.
Sydney is beautiful in a way I don’t understand with her sinful curves and shy, tentative smile. I’ll need to step up my game if I want to win over my queen. Over a decade in the Marines taught me how to fight and sacrifice for the ones I love, and there’s never been a more worthy cause than Sydney’s heart.
Join Cameron Hart, Shaw Hart, and Harlow Layne as they take you to the small town of Rosewood, CO and introduce you to three childhood best friends. I've been waiting to read this book since I saw the cover months ago its so cute and Cameron's first Illustrated cover!! This baby was super fun and cute and steam!!
Hudson is now taking over his grandma Pub and doesn't know what life shall bring him until his grandma makes sorta bet next woman that ask for a pie that's his future wife. He plays it off and walks in Sydney and the first meet was not how both wanted it. she asked for a pie and he thinks she's in on on bet. So my boy Hudson screams and kicks her out which was his mistake in a long line of mistakes lol. I tell you Hudson mouth got him in trouble with Sydney few times and even if he didn't mean to sound like a jerk.. poor guy but he kept trying to show her he wasn't so ill give him that.. he is a good guy with horrible flirting skills lol.
As for Sydney she has high anxiety thanks to a accident when she was younger and she doesn't know what to do with her Inter design she applies but no one wants a young designer with no experience.. and her hot/cold feelings for Hudson but she slowly learning to trust her gut and give him a chance. And sometimes you'll get annoyed with her with how many times she ran away.. I did.. but glad she gave him a chance to apologize and gain her trust.
No ow/om drama, no cheating, slight drama, slight secondary characters, sexy times, virgin gal and no manwhore

3.5 stars. Cute, sweet, steamy, sexy. This was entertaining. Hudson really has a time getting his foot to stay out of his mouth. And Sydney really struggled through her anxiety to accept that their relationship was real, and that she could be who she wanted to be.
It was frustrating at times. But it was also really sweet.
And the sex. That definitely carried a lot of the story through. It was hot, and filled with dirty talk.
I had a good time. Not my favorite book, but definitely an enjoyable short read.
This book was fantastic and a perfect end to this series, but I hope to hear more about the people of this small town in other books. This story made me laugh and fall in love with both these characters from all tge awkward moments. Hudson will make the reader swoon..... Hudsons grandma is a hoot, a feisty old lady with no filter loves getting reactions out of everyone. Sydney's first time meeting Hudson was not the best, he was a jerk and rude to her when he didnt even know her. Sydney suffers from anxiety and is very shy around those she does not know. Hudson knows Sydney is the woman for him his future wife, but she makes him so nervous he never can say the correct things. He keeps flubbering their meet ups, he is always tonge-tied around her.
Sydney is back in Rosewood after getting her degree in interior decorating. She is staying with her “wild child” of a grandmother while looking for a job with a firm. So, when her grandmother asks her to stop by the local pub to pick her up a shepherd’s pie, she follows the request. Unfortunately things do not go as planned. By the end of the whole excursion, Sydney is left having dealt with the crazy but hot Hudson Wolf and a panic attack that results from the encounter. She knows that Hudson does NOT like her, so why is he popping up all over town? And why does he seem more charming but awkward with each run in?
Hudson has finally moved back home after leaving the military. Now, if only he could get his grandmother to stop her matchmaking! When a beautiful woman comes into the pub right after he makes a deal with his grandmother to date the next woman who asks for a shepherd’s pie, he knows that he has been set up and he is not having it. What he didn’t account for was that Sydney was just as innocent in the whole scheme as he was…and now he is left chasing her to try and convince her that his grandmother was actually right. He did need Sydney because they would be perfect together.
This was the first of the Rosewood stories that I read and now I am going back for the other two! Sydney and Hudson are so cute together and I love every scene with Hudson being an awkward knuckle head. The story is both cute and funny and is the perfect escape!

I LOVE THE COVER! It's so beautiful. Normally Novellas don't have a catchy cover but this one is just so dope!
I really like their relationship. He was so caring. The way he made feel comfortable and always supporting her made my day. It was a pleasure to read this book.
His first, second, third, impressions were so funny! Love it so much. And I'm sucker for Shy, introverted, independent, plus size heroines. She was so cute.
As a plus size girl I was relating so much. I understand her all insecurities.
WOW!! I couldn't put this one down. I absolutely love it!! This was a nice quick, short read.
Hudson meets Sydney when she comes into the bar he now owns. He took over the bar, The Pink Door, from his grandmother. Sydney's grandmother sends her into the bar to get her an order of Shepards pie. Before Sydney comes in his grandmother bets Hudson that the next girl to order the Shepards pie will be his wife. Soon the bell over the door rings and in walks Sydney, Hudson thinks she is the most gorgeous woman he's ever seen. Hudson greets her with a hey, hi hello, and Sydney says it right back to him. When she asks him for some Shepards pie, he feels like this is a trap, he tells her he should have been expecting her. Sydney apologies she doesn't know what is going on, his grandmother scolds Hudson telling him he needs to apologies. Sydney says she should go and he tells her that's a good idea. After Sydney leaves his grandmother tells him Sydney had no idea what was going on. His grandmother tells him that it was her and Sydney's grandmother that came up with the idea. His grandmother tells him to go after her, Hudson takes off running down the street. Sydney looks over her shoulder to see the man from the bar is running after her. He yells to her he just wants to apologies, she tells him no thank you. She tells him she doesn't like being yelled at the first time, first impression matter. Sydney sees a door open so he hurries to go inside the cafe then rushes to the restroom. Sydney orders a tea but before she gets her order Evangeline Always runs into her. Evan can tell something is wrong so they sit and talk about Hudson. They talk for a little while then Evan has to get back to work. The next day Hudson wakes to his grandmother trying to get into the bar. She tells him she wants to come up with a plan for his to win back his future wife. His grandmother tells him how Sydney goes to the market on Saturday's and then gets a coffee and pastry. Hudson grabs a shower and then heads to the market hoping to run into Sydney. When he finds her she's reaching for something on the top shelf so he helps her. When she realizes who it is, he asks her if they can start over. He asks her what she thinks about second impression, they continue to talk as they walk through the market. When they start checking out Hudson notices the health section and comments on the inter designer, which is what Sydney is. Sydney rushes out not looking at him, when he asks the clerk what he said wrong, he's told that she's an interior designer. The clerk tells him to be patient with Sydney she's always been shy. When Sydney's grandmother comes she's been filling out applications for job. Her grandmother asks her why she doesn't consider going into business for herself. Her grandmother tells her she's stronger than she knows, when she says she doesn't want to go in business by herself. Her grandmother asks her to choose her future based on her hopes and not her fears. Rowan Forever calls and ask her if she wants to do a girls night with her and Evan. Sydney heads to the Little Star Pizza to meet up with her friends. She fills them both in on what is going on with Hudson. The next day Hudson comes to the bar and wants to know what is going on with him and Sydney, he tells her what happened at the market. His grandmother tells him that Sydney is helping a couple with their home. So when someone comes in to release Hudson he heads to the house Sydney is helping with. He tells her he is sorry when he finds her, and then asks her if he can have another chance. He asks her if he can help out and she tells him that's not necessary. He tells her he's sure she could use a big stone man around to do the heavy lifting. She tells him she doesn't need a man to do anything for her. He asks her if she could come and make some suggestion to him about The Pink Door, he just acquired it from his grandmother and it's in need of a facelift. He tells her he keeps making a fool of himself around her and he just wants to get to know her. She tells him she doesn't thinks that's a good idea then gets back to work. The next day Sydney tells her grandmother about what Hudson did and then tells her he's an arrogant jerk. Her grandmother tells her that Hudson sounds like he gets tongue tied around her. Her grandmother tells her she's not going to screw up so bad if she takes the job that The Pink Door will shut down, it's an institute around here. She tells Sydney she has to work through her anxiety, she can't run from it. Her grandmother tells her to go and have a chat with Hudson, she tell her that he should be at the bar. When she goes to the bar she doesn't see anyone so she takes the chance to look around. When he finds her he asks her what she's doing there, then doesn't mean to be so rude. He apologies and asks if he can start again. He tells her she has him all out of sorts, he tells her he's never felt this connection with anyone else but her. She asks him if she makes him nervous, he puts her hand to his heart and she feels how fast it's beating. He tells her that's what she does to him. He tells her how stunning she is, and kind, and talented. Then he pulls her fact to his and kisses her scar on her forehead. He asks her why she's here and she tells him she was reconsidering his offer. She tell him this will be her first big project, and she'll come up with a plan. The next day Hudson gets coffee and an assortment of pastries for Sydney. She tells him he didn't have to do that and he tells her it's for her. They go over her ideas, and Hudson is blown away how talented she is. Sydney wraps her arms around him, then Hudson kisses her. He lifts her up and pins her against the wall. Sydney starts rubbing herself against him and he tells her to let go he's got her. Then Hudson asks her if she'll go on a date with him and she agrees. Hudson comes to pick up Sydney and he takes her back to his apartment above the bar. He tells her he has dinner in his oven, and know she doesn't want to go out. When he gets her inside they begin kissing, Sydney notices that Hudson did some cleaning when he is getting the food ready. As they eat they talk about their families, when they finish Hudson picks her up and puts her in his lap. He asks her if he can touch her and she tells him yes. Then he pleasures her, then she goes to her knees and pleasures him. The next day Sydney is busy working Hudson comes up behind her, he asks her if he can make her come on his tongue and she tells him yes. He takes her up to his apartment and then they get physical. Afterwords Hudson asks her about owning her own business, she tells him it's to scary. He tells her when she's ready she can tell him about her scar. Later the next day, Sydney gets an email back about one of her application, they want to hire her but as a secretary and she can work her way up and she has to move to Denver. She goes into a panic attack and Hudson comes to find her, he helps her out of it. He asks her what brought it on and she tells him about the job offer. He brings up her starting her own business but she doesn't want to. Sydney can't take it so she takes off down the street, this time Hudson catches her picks her up and swings her over his shoulder, caring her back to his apartment. He tells her he wants to help her and when she has anxiety he wants to know what to do to fix it. She asks him why, he tells her because he love her. She tells him he never said anything and he tells her he's not good with words. He tells her he loves her, kissing her after he says it. They talk about the job offer and he tells her if that's what she wants to do he'll follow her. She tells him it's not what she wants to do. He tells her to talk to him he wants to be her safe place, he wants to help her. They get physical, then he grabs something off his nightstand. She asks him what it is and he tells her to open it. He tells her he loves her, he can't wait to be with her forever, he asks her to marry him and she tells him yes. Hudson tells her it's his grandmother's ring and if she doesn't like it they can get something else, she tells him she loves it. He's going to love Sydney until infinity, and even then it won't be long enough. Six years later, they got married a few months after he proposed. They have two children Holly just turned three, and Charles is five. Sydney went into business for herself after Hudson encouraged her to get testimony from previous clients. Soon word of mouth spread around town, her calendar was booked. She tells him she could live a million days and never get tired of it, he asks her what if they make it to infinity. Moments like these Sydney knows she made the right choice all those years ago. She took a leap of faith, and will never regret choosing hope over fear.

This was hands down the sweetest and most swoon worthy book I’ve read in a while! Both Sydney & Hudson were so nervous and adorable every time they were around each other and I was living for every. Single. Interaction. Sydney’s character was the most relatable and I really appreciated the acknowledgement of having anxiety and the support from all her friends, her grandma, and especially Hudson.
Yes Hudson does put his foot in his mouth the first time the meet, but he spends the rest of the book chasing after his woman & being the sweetest man while doing it. This is a guaranteed safe read, and both the characters are so head over heels for each other that it will leave you smiling the entirety of the book. Did I mention he is always referring to her in his thoughts as his woman, his queen, and his future wife? That alone would have got me excited to pick this one up! Hudson & Sydney are an amazing couple that fell in love in such a beautiful way, and they have a love that will last till infinity and beyond!
I was so excited for this book to come out and I loved every minute of their story. Cameron once again proves how much I love men who will do anything for their woman, as she is their whole world. I loved that Hudson didn’t get the girl right away and had to work for it. I think we got a sneak peek of upcoming characters and swoon! Bring them on! Five stars!
I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed this book, its a book you need to read and experience yourself. I loved the main female character, she was very realistic and relatable, coming across as a strong character but she had moments of vulnerability and innocence that gave her character more depth. The author manages to write this character very well, she manages to mix so many emotions and personality trates into one character, giving her a shy side that she started off as but then slowly built her up to show that she was sweet, loving and always there for her friends, and then there is a scene where she kind of manages to stick up for herself with the hero when there is a misunderstanding, and then you see her truly begin to blossom once the hero manages to win her over, and I'm sure much more that I haven't included. Now, the main male character was just as good, he was your typical hero, having a military background, making him seem worldly, and then coming home to his 'family or should I say his grandmother. Although he was meant to be a stereotypical alpha male the author manages to also give him a vulnerable side, especially when it comes to the Heroine and he then stops being this bold, controlled person, as he becomes across as unsure and Uncontrolled around her which leads to several miss understandings but gives added layer to his character, again making him more realistic. The secondary characters such as her 2 friends from the previous book tied it all together nicely, and the added touch of the "helpful" grandmother's gave the story a funny factor that helped to break through the serious romance going on and also mentions of characters that you have met in past book or meet in future books gave the story more feel, allowing you to envision it all and how the stories can intertwine. The storyline was smooth and flowed well, pulling you in, making you laugh, roll your eyes are some of their awkward interactions, give a secret smile as their relationship began to develop and internally 'awww' as you fell in love with these 2 main characters. This book was an awesome addition to this series and I cannot wait to hear more from this author, this is a must read!
The addition starts with the book cover….yeah…yeah…yeah don’t judge a book by its cover they say ….well we all do it and this one here it is the scratch to your itch or better yet the filling to your oreos! Within the first chapters you get the panoramic view of whom you’re dealing with! Anytime you have children, moms, grandmothers and sometimes fur babies scheming to get two people together is usually funny and a hot mess 😊. Two meddling grandmothers are trying to get their grandbabies to just notice each other, and boy do these two grandmothers create a mess playing matchmaker (although they are on to something). Hudson sex as all get out bar owner, retired Marine, with a bad case of foot in the mouth and that is the case when a shy, beautiful women walk in requesting an item but took it the wrong way. Sydney is sweet, intelligent, suffers with anxiety after living through a fire that took her parents, a little on the shy side and an interior designer who was attempting to pick something up for her grandmother (they say don’t judge a book by it’s cover 😊) Sydney’s impression of Hudson is he is a big bully but after learning the truth, sad but funny he couldn’t say the right thing to save his life. But oh boy, once he got his foot out of his mouth the chemistry was insanely intense and the magnetic pull was too strong are the two grandmothers were right or were they, is Hudson redeemable and can the find peace and happiness along this path?
This is book number 3 of the Rosewood series and focuses on Hudson and Sydney. Hudson is Slater's brother (Books and Bullets by Cameron Hart) and Sydney is Evangeline's (Always by Shaw Hart) best friend. We were able to see a brief introduction to both characters in both those books. Hudson is a former marine who had just bought a pub from his grandmother who made a bet with him that the next woman who walked into the bar and ordered the shepherd’s pie would be his wife. Well, when Sydney comes in and orders said meal Hudson thinks she is in on the bet and is not very nice to her. He realized his error pretty quickly but the dude had the worst habit of sticking his foot in his mouth and making things worse with Sydney because he had no idea how to talk to her. Sydney struggles with awful anxiety and self-doubt which makes her second guess a lot of her decisions and wants out of fear. I love how Hudson kept trying every time he stuck his foot in his mouth and how he eventually figured out how to communicate with Sydney. Hudson was absolutely perfect for Sydney and was able to help her grow and prosper so much during their relationship! The epilogue made me so happy!! Great addition to the series!

Sydney stopped into the Pink D at her Grandmother's request for shepherd's pie, next thing she knows she is being yelled at by a the gorgeous Hudson Wolf. She sees him again at the market, and he insults interior designers, it is what she went to school for.
Hudson's Grandmother and her friend are match making but when a woman starts asking about shepherd's pie he yells at her. The worst part of it all is he made a very bad first impression with what he is sure is his future wife. When he tries to fix it, he makes a bigger mess of it, but he is not going to give up too much is at stake.
This is the third the three stories of three friends, Evangeline, Rowan and Sydney finding their HEA. While I liked all the stories, I believe this is my favorite, Hudson really had to work to get Sydney to give him the time of day.

'Infinity' by Cameron Hart is the third book in the multi-author Rosewood series and tells the story of Sydney, who is kicked out of the local pub, and Hudson, who kicked Sydney out, owns the pub and is a former Marine. WTH? All Sydney wanted was some shepherd's pie for her grandmother. Unbeknownst to them their grandmothers are in cahoots matchmaking. Unfortunately, Hudson made a hash of it. He realizes his mistake and tries to make amends to Sydney but everything he does is wrong. Sydney doesn't know why this Hudson guy keeps insulting her. She wishes he would just leave her alone.
Ms. Hart has written a charming addition to the series. This book is well written and well developed with likable characters and a funny, sweet plot. I loved how Hudson kept trying to make amends to Sydney but kept putting his foot in his mouth. But like a true Marine he never gave up. I enjoyed this book and recommend it to anyone who likes a quick but satisfying read with their glass of wine.
There’s something utterly endearing about a twelve-year veteran of the Marines getting tongue-tied trying to talk to a shy young woman he’s left with a terrible first impression of him. Granted, the misunderstanding may not have been all Hudson’s fault, but the funniest thing is he can’t seem to stop putting his foot in his mouth. While Sydney thinks he’s a first-class jerk, she can’t help giving him another chance, and another and another… With a bit of finagling by two grandmothers, the stars finally align to point them in the right direction. Hudson and Sydney made a wonderful couple and it was easily a four-star read, until I came to the love scene which was almost the same, word for word, as another scene that I had read just a day before in Romeo, part of Cameron’s Di Salvo Crime Family series. Given that Infinity was published first, I can only assume it was Romeo copying Hudson, but does that mean Cameron has run out of ideas?
This one was a bit of a let down. I usually love what this author writes, but this one could’ve been better had the heroine not been such an idiot. Aside from the first encounter with the hero—when he genuinely says something insulting, believing her to be conniving with his matchmaking grandma—the heroine continually misconstrues and misunderstands what the hero says to her, putting the worst negative meaning on everything he says. It’s almost like she was scrounging for reasons to be insulted and offended.
I also HATED that her MISUNDERSTANDINGS are blamed over and over on the hero, making it his fault that she is an idiot. It was muy annoying
It’s too bad, because otherwise the story would’ve been awesome.
Hero has been celibate for years. Heroine is innocent. No others, no cheating or abuse. HEA with epilogue
Hudson had spent twelve years in the Marines. Now, he is home, and the new owner of The Pink Door, the bar he bought from his Gram. She raises him and his brother after his parent's passing. Gram, is now, eighty-eight years old, and she can now retire. Even if, she does hang out most, of the day, at the bar.
Leastnotforget, Gram does like to meddle. Especially when it comes to her grandson’s love life. Today's scheme takes the cake. She bets he will marry the next woman, who walks into the bar to buy, a shepherd's pie. But, never thinking, the young beautiful woman, Sydney may not be, a part of his, Gram’s greater scheme.
See how much trouble, this sexy, Marine causes, by not thinking before he speaks. Can he get the extra chances needed to win his girl? And boy, does he need extra chances. Once Hudson wins Sydney’s trust, these two like rolling in the hay.
Shepherd’s Pie? *************** Tropes: Small town instalove, plus size FMC *************** Triggers: Anxiety, negative self talk *************** Hudson has a knack for putting his foot in his mouth around Sydney. Childhood trauma has left her with painful anxiety and a preference for the flight response. He falls first and keeps trying, eventually earning her attention. Being a novella, things progress quickly to the HEA and the sweet epilogue.
While their relationship manifests faster than average, it’s not unbelievable. The sex scenes are liberal, but not over the top graphic. Big points for consent. The MMC doesn’t assume, he asks. Negative points for lack of safe sex practice or discussion of BC.
Movie rating R. 3.5/5 stars overall, 4/5 hearts, 0/5 violence, 3/5 flames. I recommend.
Adorable lead, our h and an H who puts his foot in his mouth at first. From page one this book had me deeply involved, I loved the interactions between these two! It hooks you and is a satisfying read.
I loved that he had to work for it a little. Banter came easily and our h had somethings to overcome. A solid love story, once again, by an amazing writer. I felt for her and she still had that feisty, but sweet core. Side characters...one word. Gram. That woman was something else, loved her! And the vocabulary on our H, .
Both great leads, a safe story with steam and romance. I love their back and forth and love how they came together. Always a delight to read from this author!

Two meddling grannies have a scheme...with some unintended outcomes
Infinity by Cameron Hart is the third book in the multi-author Rosewood series. This is a cute, funny and sweet romance with a couple meddling grandmothers who are best friends and decide to play matchmaker to the grandkids. When the first meeting is a disaster and the second and third meetings are not much better will they ever find their lucky charm? I loved both Hudson and Sydney but you can't forget their meddling grannies who irreverent, wild, fun-loving, and more than a little scheming when they decide they know what is best for their grandkids....but it is all done with love and heart.
I received a copy of this book and am leaving my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
Hudson really puts his foot in his mouth and keeps shoving it further down his throat every time he is in Sydney's presence. Thankfully she gives him a few chances to get over his nervousness. Then his true sweet nature shines through. Sydney's anxiety is a big part of her life and it makes her flight instincts kick in. I have seen a few people mention that as being annoying but they must not know how anxiety works. I felt that Ms Hart did a wonderful job of showing how debilitating living with anxiety can be. What a sweet couple once they were finally communicating with each other, so refreshing! I really enjoyed Cameron Hart's Infinity.
I was looking for a short read to finish before I sleep and luckily I found this!
It was short, super cuteee, definitely steamy and had me smiling throughout the book. Does has insta love and though that did put me off a bit, I still enjoyed the book thoroughly and loved the relationship between Sydney and Hudson! Both of their grandmother's are amazinggg!
Hudson getting tongued is so sweet but embarrassing at the same time, damn, I felt awkward on his behalf. 😂 Sydney suffering from anxiety is super real and I like how things haven't been sugar coated and how Hudson takes care of her and stays with her whenever she panics.😌
This one was a lot of push and pull in the beginning. Hudson kept putting his foot in his mouth and Sydney kept running away. I think once these two actually started having conversations with each other is when the path cleared for them. I genuinely liked both characters in this story. Hudson was adorable in his cluelessness. He was totally a bumbling fool with her. Sydney was so skittish, prone to anxiety attacks but I think once Hudson got past his mouth - he was the perfect guy for her. There was a ton of heat in this one as well, lots of great sexy times between these two. Great read!

I thought this was a fun read with plenty of feels and I really enjoyed it. Sydney and Hudson made a cute couple that was easy to fall for. I found Sydney relatable and well Hudson, you really, really had to feel some major sympathy for. This guy has an almost terminal case of foot in mouth disease when it comes to Sydney and trust me when I say it is painful to witness and often wince worthy. The mega cuteness of this duo will prevail though and the sweetness and steam they generate will absolutely melt your heart. I am posting an independent, impartial review.
This is a beautiful story of a shy, young woman who suffers from anxiety after living through a tragic fire that took the lives of her parents and an ex-Marine, bar owner in a small town. Although this is a reasonably quick read there is still a bit of slow burn as these two work past a bad first, second and even third meeting. BUT when they get get themselves sorted out so they are on the same page, boy do things heat up. Whoa Nelly! Perfect HEA.

I thought that this was a fantastic book. I am so happy that we finally get Hudson and Sydney's story! I loved Hudson and Sydney together. I loved the interaction between these two, Hudson can't seem to keep his foot out of his mouth and Sydney's anxiety issues, these two have a really bumpy road to their HEA. I can't wait to see what Ms. Cameron has in store for us next. I would highly recommend this book and Ms. Cameron as a must read author.

What a couple..full of cringing gaffs and comments by him, anxiety ridden comments and spoken thoughts by her. Interfering grandmas on both sides, desperate for them to get together, hatch a scheme for them to meet - it goes wrong and poor Hudson doesn't know how to get out of the hole he keeps digging himself into. Sydney is shy and can't understand what is actually why this is happening, but kindly gives him several chances to get it right. Fortunately for both of them it turns out right in the end.
Sydney actually just wanted a shepherd's pie for her grandmother from the "Pink Door" bar. Hudson, owner and barman of the "Pink Door", immediately sees through the matchmaking attempts of his own grandmother and Sydney's grandmother and gets mad. Sydney is very shy and suffers from panic attacks. Hudson's rude tone frightens her very much and she takes flight. Hudson is charmed by Sydney from the beginning and tries to apologize. How then the two come together is just beautiful to read. At the end I also really wanted a shepherd's pie....
I received this book in advance for a voluntary honest review. This was my first book in the Rosewood series, so I was a little behind on the secondary characters, but the story can be read alone and still make sense and be enjoyable. Sydney and Hudson are thrown together by their meddling grandmothers, only Hudson sticks his foot in his mouth so many times everyone starts to think he really blew his chances with Sydney. Luckily, Sydney gives Hudson an infinite amount of chances to make a good impression. Loved it!
I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. Hudson and Sydney have a love story that begins with misconceptions, surprises and apologies. It continues with Hudson and the grandmothers trying to play catchup to fix things with Sydney. She has a hard time seeing past the first impression he gave her even if it was not his fault. Their story is full of humor, family, friends, passion and love. I enjoyed it
