The art was really good! And enjoyed the story. Shame this isn't going to be continued. I heard the artist had some health issues. I might check out the anime and hope it actually covers enough of the whole story that I get some sort of resolution. Either that or I'm going to have to try the light novels.
I heard this Manga's serialization stopped due to the poor health of the artist, which is a shame in two ways - one being that the art is still absolutely gorgeous, and second, in that this volume introduced so many new plot elements that left me wanting more. I sincerely hope that somehow they find a way to continue this Manga as its absolutely amazing.
This is a much heavier manga than I first expected. It takes seriously many aspects of war and inter-racial relations than most discussions in general, let alone manga. I really look forward to seeing how this story plays out.
Edit: Oh no, I see that the series was cancelled due to the artist's health. I'll definitely grab the light novel series then.
I am enjoying this series well enough. I wouldn't say I'm totally sucked in just yet, but I find Shin to be the most interesting character/background so I've went ahead and ordered the next 3 volumes. I think there is a lot of potential with where the story world building can go.
