The message this story screams is- MOTIVATION & BELIEF!
Nowadays tension, anxiety, pressure, defeat, failure, depression, grief, loss & emptiness is not only found in the wallets of adults but also among children & this story is a high example of it...
Saleem, who was born poor, faced several outbreaks throughout his life journey from his childhood.
After losing his father in the mouth of TB & seeing his mother on the same road of it he falls into the world of emptiness without a destination...
Soon his world flips from topsy-turvy into a straight one when he gets a magic ring from his uncle. With the magic ring in his hands, he was successful in coping up with his studies (which he legit failed in), uplifted his mother from the clutches of the deadly disease & later turns out into a successful business once he grows up.
So what's the moral of the story? Well, it's what rests in the mind of its readers. Whether his success was due to the spell of the magic ring or is it the hope that was built up due to his belief?

This short read by Sandeep Jatwa is really inspiring read. It will make you believe in yourself and the power of believing. I personally enjoyed the book throughout. It is worth reading this book. It will show how things take turn when we believe in ourselves. Narration is smooth, language is lucid and as it is a fast-paced readers will find easily to indulge in the plot.

May 24, 2021In the past two years, the COVID-19 pandemic and the ensuing lockdown restrictions have left both adults and children across the world struggling to regain normalcy. In such stressful times, it is easy especially for children to start hoping that only a miracle can turn their lives around. Well, in my opinion any child or adult, who is currently subscribing to this kind of wishful thinking should read the short story, The Magic Ring by Dr. Sandeep Jatwa.
The book opens with a young and tearful Ayan, fearfully telling his father that he has once again failed in his school exams. But to Ayan's surprise, instead of scolding him, his father starts narrating a story to him of a young fatherless boy called Saleem, who lives in poverty with his ailing mother. Saleem, too is finding it difficult to cope with his studies and personal circumstances, until one day, when he is gifted a magic ring with the potential to change his life.
At this point in the story, young readers will definitely find themselves hooked to the story; while parents reading it to them will find themselves reminded of an inconvenient truth, we often like to ignore. The truth being, we all inherently possess the abilities and potential to deal with any situation that life may choose to throw at us. Personally, I feel the book's message is relevant to the times we live in and after reading it, I felt pushed to improve my own efforts at work. My only issue with the book is that considering it has been projected as a children's book, the language used in certain places is not at par with the vocabulary of an average 6 to 7 year old. Even some of the child characters in the book are shown using words and dialogues that sound too mature and advanced for their ages.

The magic ring by dr sandeep jatwa is a short, inspirational book which revolves around the life of a son and his father; ayan and shahjad. Ayan is a school going boy who has lost confidence in everything because of his failure that too twice in his academic career. When he shares this news with his father, shahjad, he surprising instead of scolding his child, turns around and narrates him another story of a boy,saleem,who with the same circumstances became a successful man. He tells about the magic ring which helped saleem overcome all the difficulties in his life. The ending has a soft, subtle climax when imitiaz, the uncle of the boy saleem says: “I didn’t lie, Saleem jaan; I just gave you a medium to harness the benefits of the magic—the belief. Believe in yourself makes the impossible possible. Yes, the ring is not magical. It is you, Saleem jaan. “Remember one thing Saleem jaan, there is a magic. Just Believe in it.” How saleem believes in the magic ring with utmost trust not knowing that the magic was created by himself and not the ring. The story is a heartwarming story with a powerful message of keeping faith in oneself and believing in the magic that persists inside oneself.

In today's times, we often face hardships in life but we must have the magic in us to tackle with confidence and do not succumb to the problems.
Ayan came home with a sad news that he had failed yet again. His father saw to it and told him the story of a boy, Saleem who changed his fate with a Magic Ring.
Saleem's father had died when he was a kid. His mother was weak too and needed attention. Like Ayan, he was not good at academics. Then he got a Magic Ring and slowly he started to improve. He did very well in his academics. His mother received better treatment at the hospital. His life improved as well as his confidence in himself.
The story in itself is a parable. The real magic wasn't really in the ring but in himself. The belief that he can change for better. The magic ring was barely an object through which he derived his hope.
The story is beautifully crafted by the author which the moral behind which can be taught to kids. It is a very small book and can be read at ease in an hour.

Yes it may sound odd but school kids are the one's facing a tough battle now a days. This story is about a school kid (primary school) who has failed in examination again and considers himself a failure. A story that is full of ambitions, dreams and belief, a story about Saleem and his magic ring which was given to him by his uncle who said to him that this magic ring can fulfil anything you need.
Saleem, belonged to a poor family, his father died due to a disease TB and his mother too had these symtoms, he was weak in his studies too not a good grader.
But as he gets this magic ring he studies well, takes his mother to a good hospital where she is treated well. He achieves many good things and later becomes a businessman.

Belief in oneself and one's abilities helps an individual to go through any circumstances and come out winning on the other side. Shahjad Hussain takes it upon himself to get this message across to his son Ayan who is dejected with himself after failing in his exams. So Shahjad tells him a story. About a poor boy Saleem, a failure in his school, and a magic ring which changes his life.

✨The author has done a commendable job. Impeccable storytelling, sophisticated language and realistic characters. Even though the secret was predictable from the start, this short story touched my heart and thoroughly entertained. I heartily recommend this sweet and gently inspiring work. A dose of uncomplicated literature in these complex times.

A person is strongest when he/she believes in himself/herself. And talking about children, they are always keen to hear a story and they believe in that story too. So, mostly a moral can be teached through a story to little children.
The magiv ring is very short read. In this a boy named Saleem beleived in the magic ring provided by his Chacha jaan. His chacha jaan, first told him a story then hnded over the ring to him.From that day he never felt dejected.
My take
This is a good book. Especially this is recommend to the children. Meanwhile adults can also read this book as most of us don't believe the magic present within us and wait for a miracle to happen. A good fable
A fable like story, showing the true strength of self belief.
We believe in everything around us, everyone around us but not ourselves. While whatever we change, if we don't change our attitude, don't change our ourselves then nothing will work.
If we don't believe in ourselves we can walk a step. We might have seen lots of story of self belief and hard work. This story talks about the same message but with enjoyable and interesting fictional story.
Really enjoyable story with nicely explored characters mainly it will be interesting read for children, As it is containing only 27 pages, one can easily complete it in one sitting.
It will be a good summer vacation read for children.

The story is about Saleem's childhood, who now is a very successful businessman in his city but grew up in a poor environment with lack of study opportunities and sick parents until his uncle gave him a magic ring and promised that this ring has the power to do everything right, later on Saleem finds himself in much better place than before, well mother, small and job ,betterment in studies and what not. But was it really the magic ring or his own dedication?

A book that you can consider it as readable without an age limit. The book is all about Saleem’s life. A boy who lost his father to TB. He was living with his sick mother. He was a desperate boy who wasn’t good at studies. And a ring gifted by his grandfather changes the whole scene in his life.

This is a beautiful short story that one can easily finish in 20-30 minutes. The story is about a boy named, Saleem who had a miserable life. He belonged to a poor family and life seemed to be doomed ever since his father died. Until one day, he came across a 'Magic Ring' which changed his life for good. The ring was Chacha's (Uncle's) gift for little Saleem.
After having the ring, Saleem started to answer in the class, he worked hard and earned by managing the register for the local businessman. It was just a matter of time till the 9-year-old became a responsible son for his mother who was now suffering from tuberculosis.
Pick this book up if you want a light-hearted quick read. Also, a good book for beginners.

This story is about Saleem and his magic ring which was given to him by his uncle who said to him that this magic ring can fulfil anything you need. Nice right , everyone wishes that they would have something like that.
But is the magic really in the ring or Saleem . Read on to find out!!!
I loved the moral of the story it’s inspirational something you need in time’s like this . Language is lucid and engaging and plot is well oriented.
Highly recommended!!!!

The magic ring is a book by Sandeep Jatwa. It is a book of a short story about Saleem. It is a very short read with a very good message in it.

I chanced upon this book magic ring while browsing through kindle. The title made me want to read it and it was indeed lovely.
This short story talks about how little affirmations and some magic can do wonders on children.

The magic ring is a short story that follows the protagonist Saleem. The book follows Saleem through all his struggles in his life and how he manages to came out of.
In face of an obstacle we often tend to wait for some kind of miracle which might make the path easier, but in reality waiting for a magic to solve our problem does really get us anywhere. We do not realise the fact is that the only magic that can help us is ourselves. The real magic is within us and only we can help ourselves to achieve what we want and face our struggles.
Even though it is an extremely short read it does not fail to convey a really great message.

Ayan approached his father with the fear of getting scolded for failing in the examination, but instead his father narrated him the story of poor boy and how a magic ring changed his life.
This is a very short story and is predictable too. But it still holds a strong message and a lot of motivation. The language is lucid and the narration keeps the readers hooked up.
Overall it is a good one to read during your free time.
