I so enjoyed this volume. We get to learn a lot more about Eleven and while I don't always understand his motivations I still find his character entertaining. We also got to see scary Lizel for a moment which is always good to see. Don't mess with the people he considers his, it won't end well.
There's a bunch of dungeon fight panels as well and the artwork is still pretty.
Onto the next!

This series is just vying to be one of my fav series of 2021. Watching Lizel and Gil interact with Eleven was as hilarious as it was heart warming. I enjoy slice of life and adventure stories a lot and this combines both of those things. While we technically have an overarching plot of how did Lizel get here and how will he get home, it pays a backseat to their every day adventures and I'm here for it. Volume 4 picks up immediately where volume 3 ended. Watching everyone be in awe of and fall in love with Lizel is such a joy. And watching the slow gradual change in Studd and Gill gives me all the warm and fuzzies. Immediately pre ordering any future volumes.

The plot hasn’t moved anywhere still. It’s another labyrinth adventure, but enjoying it enough I want to keep reading the volumes.

The art style continues to be very pretty to my eyes; I love it.

I still like/prefer Gil over Lizel because certain characters just consume my soul and leave me attached.

I still don’t quite care about the plot/story itself but it still wasn’t bad. And the characters still aren’t particularly annoying. It feels…too short.

My favorite part was the quest to help out an acting troupe. I'm already predisposed to liking a side quest involving actors as I was a theater kid (to some degree) and now have a daughter who is actively working towards an acting career.

Liz is brought on to recharge their special effects projector. It uses mana to create temporary weather effects over the audience. But of course that can't be the end of the plot. Nope: a musician needs to skip a night's performance for health reasons and Liz volunteers to take his place. Liz playing a violin — need I say more?

Lizel has attracted the attention of Eleven, an adventurer who heads up a bandit gang. But the half-snake's double life proves no obstacle for Lizel, who is well aware of what's really going on. Lizel finds it amusing to be the one calling the shots instead . . .

I'm amused at the way Lizel can somehow handle Eleven as the spoiled brat that he is, without ever letting the situation devolve out of his control. It doesn't take mockery, or sheer strength, to bring down a boy who thinks he's on top of the world. Just a healthy dose of "real fear." (That whole scene had me in stitches.)

So this volume is the breaking and re-integrating of Eleven as part of the team (well, by default, since Lizel technically never agreed to forming a party with him). It's another fun look at the subtler ways Lizel likes to work, as well as his cheerful vacationing attitude towards his life here.

Overall I do hope Eleven continues to be a part of the cast going forward. He plays well off of both Lizel and Gil's personalities, and adds the enthusiasm and impulsiveness they were missing. I rate this book Recommended.

A Gentle Noble's Vacation Recommendation, Volume 4, by Misaki, Momochi, Sando is the latest volume being adapted from Misaki's is original A Gentle Noble's Vacation Recommendation light novel series by Momochi and Sando , who helped bring the series to life as a manga with their character designs and artwork.

Lizel and Gil finally flush out their mysterious attacker and settle the score with him, but it seems the assailant isn't quite the threat they initially believed him to be.Is it possible this former foe could actually be a new ally? Maybe so... but first he'll have to convince them to give him the chance he knows he deserves! Until he's able to find a way home, Lizel figures this is a perfect opportunity to explore a new way of life adventuring as part of a guild. After all, he's sure he'll go home eventually so he might as well enjoy the otherworldly vacation for now.

The forth volume of A Gentle Noble's Vacation Recommendation is a solid continuation of the story. Relationships continue to grow and characters get to grow quite a bit in the process. Fans of the previous volumes will want to read this and continue the tale, but this is very much a series that needs to be read in order. In fact, a reread of previous installments might serve readers well depending on how long it has been since they read the previous part. As someone that has read some of the light novel series, it took me a bit to figure out where I was in the story, which was made more challenging by some formatting issues in my digital galley- which I fully expect are fixed in the final version.

Although this volume has a little more action that the last 3 volumes, it's still too boring for me. Maybe if this one was the first volume, I'd be more inclined to give it 2 stars, but this far into the series, I feel like more should be going on.

I feel like we met Lizel's king in one of the earlier volumes a bit randomly. (I don't wanna flip through the other ones to see which volume it was in). He doesn't show up again for the rest of that volume and this one as well. It's...weird that they set that up, only to ignore it for at least a whole book. It probably gets resolved eventually in the light novel series this is based on.

This volume also has the same stuff I've complained about before in previous reviews, such as everyone having a crush on Lizel but also not really. I don't get why everyone is so enamored with Lizel? He's just some dude who's unusually calm in stressful situations and is inexplicably good at being an adventurer, despite not having prior experience with that. People who don't even know him always turn to look at him on the street, because they 'can tell he's a noble'. I mean I guess that's decent cause to turn and stare, but it gets annoying after a while, seeing it happen all the time. I feel like after reading this series I wanna punch him lol he seems so annoying.

Before I start my review I want to thank Netgalley for providing volume 4 of A Gentle Noble's Vacation Recommendation.
In this new volume we will see our protagonist interact with new characters, more specifically a half-snake mercenary, who is attracted to lizel and wants to join his group, he is even willing to leave the group of thieves that he leads.
In this volume we are shown more of this new character, we are told his story and how he ended up leading a group of thieves.

I have to be honest although I like the story, I feel that everything is happening slowly, we have 4 volumes about 20 chapters in total and we still do not know how Lizel got to the new world, nor who is the main villain, we are only in the long road to the growth of the protagonist, in this case of the secondary ones, since we are shown that they are maturing as they interact with Lizel.

Anyway, it is a good story to pass the time, and it reads quickly, but I would like to have more action and not so much introduction to the characters.

for me this volume deserves a 3.5 out of 5.

We start with Lizel and Gil going to see the play featured in the last volume, where Lizel steps in to help when a performer is injured, and something goes amiss. Eleven gets a back story, and tries again to join Lizel's party- this time, he has something real to offer. Judge's shop was robbed while he was away visiting his grandfather, and Eleven has information about how the merchant's guild is handling it. While he still doesn't get to join the party, Lizel and Gil invite him to go to a dungeon with them, and a good time is had by all!
Not much intrigue in this volume, but the camaraderie throughout is so much fun! It was nice seeing so many light moments. Lizel just keeps adding to his harem, and I think Eleven will add a wild-card element to things. When's Volume 5 out?

My favorite volume so far! I was just telling you in the previous review, I wanted the main characters to show more sides of themselves, and Lizel let out a very different side to how he usually is. I loved it precisely because he didn't lose his essence of him, but shows you that he's not just a pretty face.

So far, so AMAZING with this series! As with the previous three volumes, nothing much happens aside from some enjoyable character interactions and small adventures. This series is the definition of cozy, filled with page after page of fluff, light world-building, and slow-paced reveals of background and motivation.

The cast continues to expand, this time with Eleven joining the group of people unreasonably obsessed with Lizel (which I LOVE). I swear, by the time this series is over, Lizel will have a harem the size of a small country in this world and his original! The king he served in his world seems to follow the genre of obsession that the people here do, which makes me look forward to when those two sides eventually clash!

Four volumes in and I could not tell if this was gay or not. It reads like a harem manga but they never make an actual move on this guy. Finally I googled it and found an author's note where the author is like IT'S JUST ABOUT MALE FRIENDSHIP, IT'S NOT GAY.

Sir, I have news for you. Every man in this series is in love with Lizel. They touch his face. They talk about how beautiful he is. They shield him with their bodies and would do anything for him. Every man in here meets Lizel and hands himself over to be done with as Lizel pleases.

The women dgaf. The innkeeper is my favourite character.

An amazing series

I am really pleased with this series and this volume does not disappoint. The characters are well rounded and the story flowed smoothly. Each volume is a story within itself within an over-arching storyline. The artwork is beautiful, the story imaginative, and there is a lot of content for your money. It is an utterly charming series that has held me spellbound throughout. I highly recommend this series; it has been a pleasure to read and I eagerly await the next volume.

Vol. 4 of A Gentle Noble's Vacation Recommendation was an enjoyable continuation of this fantasy adventure series. This volume saw a new character come to the fore, and I loved his interactions with Gil and Lizel. This volume offered character and plot development as well as another fun battle scene, alongside the usual excellent illustration and amusing dialogue. I am keen to see how the story will continue in volume five.

I received this book as a free eBook ARC via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Review

4 Stars!

A delightful low stakes romp through a magical world with our guide Gil and the ever charming Lizel. Going to the theater, meeting new characters, friend nor foe can resist Lizel! I maintain that this is a harem romance, but we’ll see how the other volumes go!

Looking forward to more adventures with these three, and seeing how their very different personalities interact!

Many thanks to Netgalley and Tokyopop for the egalley!

Again a good volume. However, I was a bit sad we didn’t learn much about Lizel. This volume focused on Eleven, his past, as well as his present life and his relationship with Lizel. I got to admit, he is very cute and quite a funny character; he kind of reminds me of a puppy sometimes. In terms of adventure, I felt like it was less intense than in the previous volumes but overall, I enjoyed it a lot. I can’t wait for volume 5.

I recommend this series to anyone looking for some adventures with loveable characters

I got this new fantasy adventure vibe from the world in this manga.
I love that this volume focuses on a new character but not deviating on the two main characters here.
Lizel is a fresh main character here as he's so calm and able to think what's better for him in the present.

I'm still expecting more to happen in the future for the series.

Thanks to NetGalley and Tokyopop for an e-ARC copy.

Totally loves this volume! All the characters are just so warm and the introduction of Eleven is perfect, it’s like they balance each other out! Lizel is just such an amazingly whole heartedly character, he can figure out people’s personality and find a way to bring out their best! ❤️❤️ I really love their adventures!! Such a warm novel! It really is just so smooth! The artwork is so beautiful as always! Looking forward to the next volume!

I've been giving 3 stars for each book until now. It's been cute. I love the two main characters. While there are some other good comic relief characters that appear repeated, I haven't become particularly interested in any of them...until now.

I adore Eleven. I hope he continues to show up a lot more. He really brings a different dynamic (not to mention feisty adorableness and humor)

Still find the lack of any female characters who are in it for more than a few scenes kinda odd.

Feels like the story has really established it's rhythm. We have another character that is tagging along but not part of the party. That dynamics of the people hanging out together is really sweet. I am enjoying the story very much!

So far there's only been one brief interlude with his origin world I'm hoping maybe in the next volume will be more... But then again it might end up being one of those but only pops up every so many volumes...

It’s so great to be back with Lizel and Gil! I always love their adventures and especially their banter and friendship. But this one was even more hilarious now that Eleven has been added to the cast.

I like Eleven as a character for sure! He’s kind of annoying but in a way that digs it’s roots into your heart so that you have no choice but to love them and root for them along the way. I think his storyline has so much potential with Gil and Lizel.

This was another solid volume in this series and as always I cannot wait to read more about all of them.

I love how smiley and sweet - and oh so scary! - Lizel is. And our sssssnake boy is very cute... in a snake kind of a way. I just wish I could see at least some semblance of a plot here. So far, it's simply a collection of their adventures, mostly in labyrinths and places like that, and that's it. It feels like an RPG in manga form.

I know a lot of people want this to be a BL but I am quite glad that the author is sticking to their guns about all the characters' dynamics.

If girls in manga can have their platonic, closer-than-sisters/lovers, relationships without it being romantic then boys can, too.

The youngest are so cute!

I don’t know what it is specifically about this volume that felt like it deserved to bumped to a four star rating (all the previous volumes I have three stars) but I think it’s finally time. Lizel has now added Eleven to his ever growing harem and I have to say that I adore him. Seeing Lizel be all scary was fun too.

More adventure

Loved it! Always happy to read about these two! Fun and full of adventure. Nothing ever phases the mc. He is nonchalant as always. With single stroke at his back, its no wonder. Love all the things that happened in this volume.

This was good, but not my favourite. I'm not a huge fan of Eleven, so I am intrigued to see where he goes in the coming volumes, but for now, he just seemed to be interrupting the vibes between our two main characters.
