About the author

Madeleine Chapsal is the daughter of the politician Fernand Chapsal and of the Vionnet dressmaker Marcelle Chaumont.

She married the French journalist Jean-Jacques Servan-Schreiber in 1947. Together, they founded L'Express. They divorced in 1960, but remained friends.

She was a member of the Prix Femina jury between 1981 and 2006.

Δεν υπάρχει τίποτα ποιητικό στη σχέση με έναν παντρεμένο ειδωμένο από την πλευρά της ερωμένης. Ειδικά όταν σου διευκρινίζει αυτός εξ αρχής ότι δε θα χωρίσει και συ κάθεσαι μαζί του για επτά χρόνια. Α, wait for it και μετά ερωτεύεσαι έναν ακόμα παντρεμένο που σου διευκρινίζει το ίδιο. Στο τέλος βέβαια το καταλαβαίνεις και βρίσκεις την υγειά σου με έναν ελεύθερο αλλα είκοσι χρόνια μικρότερό σου.
