Filled with experiences that so many wee ones will identify with, all leading up to the biggest first experience of all, the birthday celebrating one turn around the sun. From waking yawns and hugs to burst balloons, to fun with friends, the rhyming text and fun illustrations are sure to engage the smallest of readers. My favorite illustration is the last one with the newly celebrated one-year-old crashed out on the chest of an equally crashed out papa. A perfect ending!

There is nothing like the milestone of a baby's first birthday. Each scene is from baby's point of view which feels so perfect for a board book which are beloved by the youngest kids. Alea Marley's illustrations are vibrant and inviting which allow curious babies to turn the pages again and again. I also love Anne Wynter's board book "Hands On" which takes me back to when I had an active crawler and early walker in my home. Perfect gifts for new parents and milestone moments.

Anne Wynter's simple, lovely text takes readers through baby's first birthday. Little ones are sure to enjoy the rhyme and repetition, and once again, the illustrations by Alea Marley are darling.
