Best friends butt heads in Pea, Bee, & Jay #4: Farm Feud , an early graphic novel series by Brian “Smitty” Smith, perfect for fans of Narwhal & Jelly, emerging readers, and comic lovers alike! After a heated argument sends Pea and Bee on the hunt for new friends, Jay is stuck all alone. While Pea tries to form a new crew with Blueberry and Lenny the bee, Bee teams up with a high-strung Acorn and Pea’s batty old Gramps. (What the heck, Gramps?!) And Jay? Well, Jay takes matters into his own wings. Can this trio figure out how to make up, or will this be the last of Pea, Bee, & Jay? Pea and Bee are feuding and all around the farm there are cranky vegetables. Grandpa is ready to kick some PEA-HINDS. They're out of their GOURDS. (If you love vegetable puns, there are more where those came from.) While Pea and Bee set out to make new friends, Jay is on his own and runs into a sssneaky sssnake. After escaping, Jay spends time at the nest constructing model friends to keep him company. They just might come in handy.
Although I did find some parts to be funny, Farm Feud is my least favorite installment in the Pea, Bee, & Jay series so far. The plot is a bit too repetitive with Pea and Bee always arguing. The illustrations are still fun and the characters are comical, though. While I didn't find the plot to be as enjoyable, I thought the ending illustrated well how pointless many arguments are.

📊 A Quick Overview 📊
👍🏼 What I Liked: • The illustrations — pretty colorful and expressive. • The three MCs — a complimentary trio of characters.
👎🏼 What I Did Not Like: • Most of the plot — repetitive and not as enjoyable as the previous books in the series.

Didn't care for this one quite as much as the first entry. I worry that a lot of the puns will go over the targeted readers heads. Pea and Bee's argument is kind of annoying and we never learn what started it, but I suppose for young readers both these things can be true of arguments they've witnessed and been a part of. A lot of the characters come off as kind of blunt and mean which is never dealt with a whole lot. Did really find the aggressive acorn character amusing. The illustrations are extremely charming and ones that might inspire young readers to try to create their own Pea, Bee and Jay stories.
I forgot how much I loved the first installment and realized this was number four so now I have to go back and borrow two and three.
I love the bright colors of this children's graphic novel series about three friends, a pea, a bee, and a blue jay. This one is full of goofy puns and some of them might go right over the kids' heads but it's a heck of a time as they fight and hang around the farm with a particularly memorable scene when Jay makes a trash version of pea and bee for company and they smash and break.
Not my favorite of the series. Pea and Bee are fighting (nobody knows what they are fighting about) and it kind of ends up being as annoying at all the farm creatures think it is. They reconcile at the end but it takes a long time to get there and isn't all that exciting. That being said, I will still gladly purchase for my school library as I think my students will like it if they read the other books in the series.
Another good book about a pea, a bee, and a jay on a farm with no pockets and snake. Will Pea and Bee ever settle their dispute? What was their argument even about? Will Jay get his best friends back? Will snake ever find something to eat? And, what's up with the acorn security guard!? Find out all of these questions and more with the fourth installment of Pea, Bee, & Jay: Farm Feud. You'll laugh, cry... no, you'll just laugh!
Least favorite of the series, lots of fussing between Pea and Bee, and bad puns at the farm. New characters Snake and Fish add some levity to the mix. Like many fusses that occur in the intended audience age group, this one is the same, with no one remembering the cause.
This one wasn’t my favorite. I found it stressful lol. I don’t like fighting. I did think it was funny though in the end that Bee and Pea couldn’t even remember what they were fighting about. I’m glad they made up.

I actually didn't super enjoy this installment of the series. The whole book is built on the premise of Pea and Bee having an argument and trying to one-up each other.
That’s kind of you jay to save pea and bee wait I have a joke PBJ normally stands for peanut butter and jam LOL. My favourite part was when the acorn asks the snail if he had a license to drive the shell and my least favourite part was when bee and pea had a argument.
