In the midst of chaos, darkness is already there … (Taken from the tomes of Atlantis)
MALLEVEN MANCINI has lied, cheated and stolen to take the kingdom. Thousands of humans have died, the world is crumbling and everyone knows they’re out of time.
While Dante, the former king, lies dying and the sirens and their children fear for their lives, it is Vionne Borge who must hold it all together. He learns what the Darkly Begotten really is and what it means for the kingdom. He must fight for his people, the Murrs, and keep his vow to his father—even if that means sacrificing his happiness. But it is a beautiful stranger, ASHAYA, who forces him to challenge everything he thought he knew.
In the thrilling conclusion to the series, we’re plunged with the sirens into the Return—their loves, losses and fears, to finally find out if they get their heart’s desire.
Tissues at the ready.
They’re 21st Century Sirens and life seldom goes according to plan!
DARKLY BEGOTTEN is book six in the 21st Century Sirens Series
British bestselling author, T Stedman, is a keen horsewoman, a devourer of Fantasy Romance and a self-confessed escapist.
She debuted in 2015 with her six-book Urban Fantasy Romance series, 21st Century Sirens. Followed closely by her collection of Dark Romances, The Dark Valentines, which she still writes. She is a migraine mentor, penning her semi-autobiographical work on migraine, My Migraine Story, which spun off from her migraine-wise blog, designed to offer useful advice to fellow migraine sufferers.
After fifteen books and two Novellas, she continues on her writing journey, embarking recently on the first of her ghostly teen series; Night Shades, which has solidified her as a multi-stringed author.
She currently resides in the Kent countryside with her kids, dogs and horses, where she works in the NHS. And, of course, she loves to write …
After reading the other books in this series I was eager to read the final one and it didn't disappoint. I thoroughly enjoyed it, as I had the other books. These books are a fantastic different way of looking at mermaids. As with all books I was sad to come to the end of the 21st Century Sirens and the ending was also a little sad however it also left it open for the future generations to appear to have their own stories told which I'm hoping T Stedman is planning on doing in the not to distant future.

Darkly Begotten is the final book of six, and was a fantastic way to end the series. I can't recommend this series more! The romance and adventure had me flying through the pages. The plot twists were so unexpected, I'll have to re-reading the series soon for clues! Ashaya is my absolute favourite character, which is very strange as I usually don't like the newly introduced characters. This book ties up all the loose ends whilst adding new characters and dynamics that make this last adventure so juicy.
Wow, waited so long to read this and I wasn’t disappointed. Absolutely loved reading it. Definitely wasn’t expecting everything in it though. Tied up many loose ends yet left scope for many wonderful things that could follow. I will miss this series of books I’ve enjoyed them so much. If you read one series of books then read this one I’m sure you won’t be sorry if you do.
