Rate this book
On 1st March 2021 the Covert Human Intelligence Sources (Criminal Conduct) Act 2021 came into force in the United Kingdom. It allows the government to authorise criminal acts against private individuals for the purposes of preventing disorder. Noel McVay, a 30 something civil servant from south London, is embarking on a solo backpacking trip in the mountains of Arctic Sweden. It is a beautiful region, full of wildlife, and steeped in Sami mythology. But it seems that someone, somewhere is not keen on him completing his hike. How will the competing forces of nature and the long arm of the law play out?
