***The reviews for each book in this series are individual to each particular book. However, I did read all three books, in series order, prior to writing the reviews.***
I immediately connected with Daniel, the main character. Everything about the early sequence of events that led him to find treasures from his past, were relatable. He was in a comfortable life, he got along well with his wife and daughter. He “had a good life.” But when something from his past surfaces, causing memories from the past to rush forward, they bring with them voids from a certain period of time—where memories can’t be recalled and seemed to have vanished. In a time where Daniel struggles to recall simple things within the entirety of his mind, he is also reminded of the reality that everyone from that period in his life is no longer with him. The story stirred so many questions and thoughts in my mind. I reveled over details of the story and agonized over Daniel’s struggles. The cast of supporting characters are all critical to the story in their own way, and leave an imprint on the reader. Steve Wilhelm has a way of tangling readers right into the crazy roller coaster of this twisted game of playing with fate. At the end of this book, I was prepared for this to be it for Daniel’s game with fate. But, the story wasn’t over....
This is one of those books that will not be leaving my brain for a very long time. It's a change of perception and a new way to view your past and the decisions that led you to where you are right now in this very moment.
Daniel, the main character is so realistic that when I wasn't reading I was missing his presence in my life. His story is relatable because I think we all have that someone we wonder about. We all have that fork in the road decision we came to in the past that drastically changed us and our surroundings and we all wonder what would have happened if we took to opposite path.
His curiosity is contagious so from start to finish you are equally involved in getting answers that the author keeps you guessing at. Daniel's interactions with the other characters in the book are golden! Each one had a life of their own.
Jeff: Daniel's best friend is one of my favorites! He was so vital to the book and carried a plot of his own. He's a rich personality that definitely made me laugh out loud while reading even in public. He was in every sense of the word a "Friend"
He also has a future that comes with its own complexities so he's multi dimensional.
To me he was a core part of the story and I truly loved his role in the book.
Lizzie: oh Lizzie. There is no not loving this woman. She warms the heart in her dialogue and her love is consistent even when the road narrows. I wanted to take sides when I started this book but as a word of advice "don't even try" it's impossible.
Jules: I FLOVE this girl! Even in times of trouble she is an admirable character. I loved her story. She was made of something special. This is hard because I'm trying not to spoil things! I have so much more to say about these women but I'll zip it.
In all I feel the author writes women extremely well. That's no easy challenge since we can be rather difficult to interpret.
The end of the story is..... it's a "wow" moment. There's not one thing predictable about this story so the ending stays true to form by making your eyes bug out even more.
This entire book is stunning! The writing is flawless and the plot flows with perfection! It's more than five stars but that's all they let me have lol!
I would recommend this book for anyone that wants time defying romance. It's a mind bending masterpiece and I might become a bit annoying for family and friends in an attempt to force them to read it.
I think it addresses a pretty big question. What's more powerful? Time or Love?
IF I had any doubts about reading this authors books this read right here just squashed it. This is one of those reads that haunts you long after the last word. I know I'm not the only one that has wondered what if . . . A trip to the past to change that one real regret? Well Daniel actually gets to do it. Go back in time and figure out the answer to a mystery. Something had happened to him, something that blocked out a period of time in his life and he lost someone. Well of course that's not all and well let's just say it's complicated. And so is this story, but not in a bad way. This author does this with the skill and finesse a story of this type is warranted and leaves you with an ending that will blow your mind. It's an amazing read with characters and a story line that makes it hard for you to be upset with the choices made. Just don't get comfortable because nothing is black and white for writers and this one took it to give him and us a thrilling read. I have read a couple of this authors books and I can say this was definitely a favorite. One that leaves you wondering that if it was possible would you take the chance at another life.
I was very pleased with this book. It's hard to think of going back to the past. Things you would want to change, second chances to make things right with ones you lost. This book dives deep into a young man's past. What will he change? How can he fix what he believes is broken? Who knows?
We all have things we would love to change or have that most dreaded "Second Chance"
It just shows what one person would go through.
Its a moving book, one that will be thought about for a long time. Nicely Done
An absorbing tale of a young man who feels an overwhelming desire to visit his past. I’m confident that I’m not the only person who would admit to toying with this idea. It might be an incident, a relationship, a spoken word, but it’s there, locked in our past, and we know it affected our future and how things turned out. Daniel has a loving wife and a young daughter. He has a steady job, a nice house and life is good, so why risk everything on a whim? It’s not a whim in Daniel’s case. His reason for venturing into days gone by is driven by a blank area in his memory. He selfishly takes the opportunity to return when it offers itself. This story may be fiction, and to some, far-fetched, but the author treats the theory with sensitivity, as he does the characters and the relationships which are relived, or amended by Daniel. A phrase which leapt to mind was, ‘if I knew then what I know now …’, and it is this which gels this story of misadventure. Daniel has gone back, but with his up-to-date mind and memories. Strong characterisation, superb dialogue and interaction are combined with understated, but well-written sequences of reunion. Past loves and friendships are replayed in this great story, and serve to remind us, the past is probably best left alone. It is what it is. I enjoyed this story from beginning to end and what an end. Suffice to say, I’ll be watching out for more by Mr Wilhelm.

Have you ever felt you'd lost time, or memories from your past out of nowhere? Almost as if something important was missing from your memory that you couldn't quite put your finger on? The talented Author of "Another Time Another Chance," Steve Wilhelm paints the perfect picture of new love, that has no comparison to any book I've ever read before.
Daniel has it all, a happy family, a well-to-do career, and things just seem to fall into place making him happier than ever. That is, until Daniel realizes that part of his memory of his past has been completely erased! In a change of pace of the story, Daniel is offered a chance to go back down memory lane and fix what has befallen his past. He takes the chance zealously, and travels back in time to relive his memories. He wants nothing more than to find out why things have drastically changed for him. When he eventually finds the answer, will he like what he sees? Or, will he be caught in a never ending loop as he tries to get everything just perfect, and the way it should be?
I could not put this novel down, and certainly recommend this romantic/time travel story to anyone looking for an astonishing read. Mr. Wilhelm portrays several solid layers within his book of time and memory. If you're looking for a read with desire, hope, love, the "what-if", and regret; this book has it all!
i began this book and i must be honest i did not think it was for me but i put it down and went off to read another but then i wanted to know what happened so i picked it back up ! fustrating i know lol i am going to try not put any spoilers in this review but i will say this, i didnt like how the process began for me it was a little too far fetched but it is totally on me and my beliefs (i know i know it's fiction ) but i at least what to belive it can happen, and it was all very confusing as it was a kind of hypnotheraphy but ended up time travel ish so i didn't really get that part, anyway the storyline was great i really really liked it and i think given the story without the beginning in this case i would hae loved the book more, well wrote and a great read Would Daniel be my book boyfriend ? ehh if he didnt do the first thing then yes :)
This is a love story that surpasses time and space. Steve Wilhelm has you laughing and crying in one breath. His love for his characters is apparent on his style of writing. Steve Wilhelm has great talent and I can't wait to see what story he has next.
