When is a rescue not a rescue? When it’s a kidnapping.

Flicka and Dieter, whose real name is Raphael Mirabaud, tried to escape her ex-husband’s Secret Service and army, but they couldn’t. Dozens of military personnel, maybe hundreds, surrounded them, trying to kidnap Flicka. The only way out was with mercenaries hired by Raphael’s father.

But Raphael’s father has other plans for them, plans that would force Raphael to go back to a destiny he tried to leave behind, and his father will hold Flicka and Alina hostage and threaten their lives to make him do it.

The story gets darker, at midnight.

Blair Babylon is the nom de plume of an award-winning, USA Today-bestselling author who used to publish literary fiction. Because professional reviews of her other fiction usually included the caveat that there was too much deviant sex and too much interesting plot, she decided to abandon all literary pretensions, let her freak flag fly, and write hot, sexy, erotic romance.

The Most Tense & Emotive Book So Far!!😳😭😱

I'm at a loss for words, I'm in storyline & cliff hanger shock I think!!😱
I'm trying to figure out how to review this without giving out spoilers ... But the entire thing is one giant spoiler fuelled, pulse pounding & heart torn to shreds book!!😳😭 My mind is blown to smithereens 💥

It's an outstanding read. So much gets explained *rubs hands together in glee* and I think most, if not all, of the Raphael/Dieter questions are answered 😱👍A-Maz-Ing by the way 😊 💙

Flicka is an absolute rock throughout this book for Alina & Raphael. Her astonishing memory comes into play in a wonderfully helpful ways. Her Princess 'training' holds her together through some awful times as well as some beautiful times, unfortunately they a very few!!😢

The final chapters were nail biting, terrifying & heart breaking!!😭 I don't think Blair Babylon has broken my heart quite so badly before - and then it ENDS!!!😡😱 Argh She's an evil, evil Author 😂😂😂

This writer continues to impress & confound me with the complexity of her storylines!!💥😎 I love how we're all left trying to figure out what could possibly happen next!😀 I'm so invested in the characters, even the ones that she hasn't written story's for yet, it's crazy 😂
I can't wait to get my paws on 'Happily Ever After', the final book in this series. I need to know how it all wraps up, who survives etc 😎 Some certainly don't deserve to!!😉 I hope she takes her time and enjoys writing book 5, This has been such a fast turn over of top quality lengthy reads & she deserves to finish on a high 👍🎉✨

I can not recommend At Midnight & the entire Runaway Princess Series enough. Such a simple 5 Star 🌟 rating to award!!

This is At Midnight: Billionaires in Disguise: Flicka, written by Blair Babylon. It’s book 4 in this exciting and heart stopping series! And....another cliffhanger. I know that Ms Babylon is sitting somewhere rubbing her hands together and chucking at my pain. I am so ready for the exciting conclusion! Flicka and Dieter are being held captive and prevented from reaching out for help from any of their friends. How will they escape before they are executed? Will Dieter be able to save his baby Alina? Would his family injure their own grandchild? Dark souls run deep in this one. Hurry up Blair! I NEED the last book!! Pretty please??

Wow! Just WOW! I rated this book a 10, or perhaps a 50! It has everything, and more. Blair Babylon is my favorite author, and has been since she wrote the first of the Billionaires in Disguise series. Her skill at setting the scene right from the first page and then picking it up from where she left off at the last book, her ability to continually ratchet up the suspense, action, love scenes, and touch our emotions is one of the reasons I rated this book so highly. We started out with a terrifying sequence of events and events for Dieter/Raphael and Flicka, and it just kept getting more complex. The ending is unbelievable! I had to read that part twice. When I finally finish with this series, I WILL start over from the first book or perhaps a previous one where she married Prince and Heir apparent, Pierre Gimaldi and go from there.

What scenes will I most remember about this book? Of course the final block-buster scenes with Flicka able to put on her Shining Armor and do her princess thing. Her more than photographic memory, her really taking on the role of Mother to Alina, and wife to Raphael. She is the star of this book, as she was in the last ones.

There are so many details that Blair put into this book to make it come alive. I am anxious for the last book, but also do not want the series to end, thus my NEED to reread it at least once more. I hope Wulf really gives a good trouncing to his old roommate Pierre at the end.

I paid for this book. I did not receive it as an ARC, but would love to be on Blair's ARC team (hint hint). My rating for this book is a HIGH 5!

At Midnight is a maddeningly exhilarating and fiercely passionate journey that will take you into the lion’s den and give you only the memory of hope to see you through each day. While Fate may march us towards our destiny, we still have the ability to make choices that will influence our path. When one door closes, we desperately seek another, but perhaps, all we have left is a window too small to jump out of. In those cases, we need to hold fast to our convictions, hold tightly onto love, and nurture the embers of hope. This marvelous story is a stunning continuation of this breath-taking series that Blair has lovingly brought to life. It feels as if all of her previous books have been building up to this explosively powerful story that has completely taken over my heart.

Flicka, Alina, and Dieter find themselves in the unmovable iron grip of their worst nightmare. They dare not push their boundaries for the sake of Alina, and yet their desperation demands that they reach out to any ally they can find. Just when a flicker of hope is ignited, another darkness encroaches upon their world. Flicka’s past will not move on or be content buried under the dirt of forgetfulness. Instead, it forces her to face the gaping and sharply equipped maw of two deadly black demons. Will she find herself forever lost to the black of eternity or the beautifully crafted and torturous cage of lifelong ownership?

Flicka learns even more about her mysterious Dieter throughout this journey. Each day brings a new close call from the ever present guillotine floating above their heads. Flicka slowly and methodically drinks in the power and meaning of family, love, and hope as she has never known before. Fully understanding and comprehending what she and Dieter have lovingly nurtured, they take and cherish the beauty and love they share to an even higher level. One in which no one can rip from their hearts.

Blair Babylon has once again gifted her readers with a sublime masterpiece that enriches and emboldens her literary genius for all to enjoy and savor. She has proven once again why her stories are the crème de la crème of romantic suspense. Stunningly impressive characters combined with her trademark plots that hold a myriad of twist and turns have made and kept her one of my all-time favorite authors. Her ingenious creativity and bold passion will keep her in that ranking for the rest of my days.

Oh darn... I want more time to do what I love and in this case is reading. I need more time because books are piling up so fast but time hasn't been my friend...
Blair Babylon had a new book that I've been waiting for so long... I couldn't start it fast enough so when it appear on my Kindle I just devoured it in one setting.
Her writing is stunning, fill of emotions, drama, fights and love. Each book is unique in their own way and you should start it.
At Midnight is her latest release and tells the stories of Flicka and Dieter and it's the fourth book from the Runaway Princess Bride series. But I need to tell you something. This series is not a standalone therefor you should read all books in order.
Has you already know Flicka is on the run trying to escape from her ex husband. But this new book keep showing us that escape but also that Dieter has a huge secret. And those secrets will bring so much drama info their lifes. And I'm done talking. I can't and I won't spoil.
Like I thought it would be, this book just nailed it. It stolen my heart.
Sublime writting, very intense and breathtaking, full of meaning and feelings. Each chapter just made the previous one look less important because things were happening in a way that I wanted to hurt someone but there were others that I wanted to hug them both .
And I'm mad... Mad... Mad because it's over and I will have to wait for the next one... I need answers and now I will have to wait...
Seriously Blair.... Another cliffhanger?? And now I have to wait and I really hate to wait...
Please hurry up... Please..

At Midnight is the 4th of a 5-book series and where, I feel, books 2 and 3 set the scene, At Midnight is where the magic/action happens. So, get the wine and chocolate at the ready and be prepared to not put the book down until it comes to an end!
So, I want to start this by saying how nervous I was to read AM. I always have the same reaction with a book by Blair. Blair manages to bring out such a strong emotional connection between character and reader, for me, I end up at times, pacing the floor with anxiety, sobbing into tissues and scaring the life out my family screaming at the bad guys. Not to mention those chapter titles, I cannot help but deliberate over the possible meaning behind them. Never mind the need to stock pile chocolate.
Throughout AM we see Dieter thrown back into the role of Raphael. Personally, I wasn’t quite sure what to make of this new version of Dieter. I hope in the final book we get to see a return of the Dieter I’ve loved throughout the entire Billionaires in Disguise Series and all its associated spin-offs. While Raphael does all he can to find a way out, we slowly see his Father take an even tighter hold of the reins. So, who is in control here? Is it Valerian? Or is Valerian being controlled by Piotr IIyin? Will Raphael, Flicka and little Alina make it out alive? Will this little family ever get revenge and a HEA they deserve? Oh, so many emotions, action and questions all in one book. So many twists and turns not to mention a few ‘What the hell?’ moments. (I wasn’t joking about that chocolate stash!)

I certainly feel that this is Blair Babylons best work by far and that’s saying something considering my love for Rae and Wulfram from the original Billionaires in Disguise series. I cannot thank the author Blair Babylon enough for the most nerve wracking, heart stopping, emotional book of 2018! If one thing this book has achieved, it’s this- my desperation to get my hands on the final book Happily Ever After!

I finished At Midnight a few days ago and needed some time to decompress and sort my thoughts before I wrote this review. I told a fellow reader/reviewer that if I didn't I would sound like a gushing idiot. Probably will anyway 😌 I am so impressed with this series, when I started reading the first book Once Upon A Time, I wasn't sure how I was going to like the series...this type of story is out of my norm. But, it wasn't long until I needed more. I wanted to know more about everyone and the emotional connections to them were created quickly. The cliffhangers left me quite surprised and salivating for more. At Midnight has left me breathless, and at the edge of my seat. At times I wanted to yell at my Kindle. The cliffhanger on this one had me shaking my head in disbelief that it was over, I really need to start paying attention too the book percentage so I know when it's about to end with this tricky author because Ms Babylon really knows how to get her readers to stand up and beg for more. I can't wait for the conclusion to this story but don't want it to end at the same time. I hope Flicka, Dieter/Raphael and Alina get their "Happily Ever After" 😉 and Valerian and Piotr go straight to... .....well you know the rest. Really...you ended it there? I think my cheek is still bruised from biting it so hard while reading that last scene.

5 star Review At Midnight: Billionaires In Disguise: Flicka (Runaway Princess #4) by Blair Babylon

AUDIO REVIEW:
This series must be read or listened to in order so make sure you start at the beginning. I was on the edge of my seat while listening to this story and what a cliff hanger this one ends on.
Well what a great addition to Flicka von Hannover’s story. This is probably my favourite one in the series to date. Lucy Rivers and Jason Clarke continue to do justice to the story that Ms.Babylon has created and I cannot wait to see what happens next. The fear that both Flicka and Dieter experience was palpable and I worried that they may be caught in a situation that there is no escape from.
After the surprises at the end of the previous book, we get to learn more about Dieter’s past. There are some characters in this one that I dislike intensely and I am hoping that they get the justice that they deserve. There are numerous twists and turns that left me shaking my head and I desperately need to the next book in the series.

Now, I really REALLY do try not to gush in my reviews.  But it is very difficult not to do so when you're enjoying a series as much as this.

What the author shows us here is that although names do have power, the strength of a name doesn't trump the core principles of love and trust.  Now that might sound a bit over the top, but that message isn't rammed down your throat.  It is subtly woven through the narrative. And what I really and truly love about this book, is that for Flicka and Dieter, there is no deviation, no shaking of their feelings for each other.

This is a book where the threat is more insidious than that of a malicious Prince throwing his toys out of the pram.  But is is wonderfully spun out.

This book makes me torn between giving the author a virtual hug, and making her stand in the naughty corner to think about what she just did.

I can't wait for the conclusion.

I have a really hard time reviewing this book. On the "technical" side, the story couldn't be any better: well written, fast paced, great characters. It's the "emotional" side, i.e. my emotions, I'm not too sure about. The book is too angsty, too dark for me. Overall, if you don't mind dark, it is a perfect forth book in the series. Note: this is the forth book in the series which needs to be read in order. Warning: Cliffhanger!

Wow! Just wow!

Just finished Flicka’s Runaway Princess Book 4 (for the 1st time) and eagerly awaiting your last book in this series. Have enjoyed ALL of them SO MUCH! I won’t spoil it for anyone by giving a synopsis or any clues but I would expect no less of these characters and their actions/interactions with each other. Again WOW and WRITE MORE/MORE OFTEN!

Unbelievable! Absolutely unbelievable! Every word of this book drew me in and by the end... the end where I am left hanging from a cliff YET AGAIN by my bloodied fingertips, praying I can survive each day until the next release... I am left speechless and with a heart that stopped beating a hundred or so pages before. This book is truly suspenseful writing at its finest. Blair Babylon, you are my favorite author. I just wish you weren't such an incorrigible tease with your cliffhanger endings.

Cliffhanger alert!

I am an avid reader of Blair Babylon’s books. I love her writing so much, I'm a part of her ARC team. Truly, she is one of my favorites. But no one is perfect. I never thought I'd give one of her books less than 5 stars, but I don't feel I have much choice.

This book is almost as good as any other of hers that I have read. She is a skilled storyteller who writes engaging stories about real characters. This time, however, I found myself being drawn out of the story to analyze words or phrasings on more than one occasion. I cannot say why this happened, but it's unusual for one of Blair Babylon’s stories so I think it's noteworthy. Still, it was a small issue that I was willing to forgive…. Until I reached the end.

I suppose I can understand why a writer might be tempted to write a cliffhanger. What I cannot comprehend is why a reader would want to read one. Personally, I have been known to give up on authors who employ this tactic. I don't think it's cute or fun or justified in any way. I think cliffhangers are just mean, plain and simple. Especially the kind that end with a countdown and the hero in mortal danger. Not cool, Blair. Not cool.

Why is there NOT a 10star rating ??

In this 4th book of the FLICKA Series, our poor FLICKA has had more then her share of bad days . And this book finds her in even more of a change from her normal . As kidnapping 's go---- it's not SO bad ! Plenty to eat and a nice comfortable suite to stay in. Only problem is that she has been cut off from communications.... Can you imagine NO tv, no internet, no PHONE ??? FLICKA is going stir crazy , and rightly so !! Because of NO ONE KNOWS where she is ......Anything could happen !!!! BLAIR BABYLON makes this series.Such a wonderfuLly BRILLIANT read because she keeps you Guessing !!! Just when you think you have figured out what MAY happen next , she swings the storyline such a way that one almost gets whiplash !!!! But I LOVE 💘💘every minute 😆😆😆😆. From her descriptive scenery, to the overwhelming situations they find themselves in , Flicka and Raphael are a force to be reckoned with, and I can not WAIT until the NEXT book !!! Such an excellent and exciting ending, truly movie-worthy !!!!! Thanks BLAIR BABYLON for another winner

Wrecked. Seriously.
This series. These characters. This story. It’s no exaggeration to say that nothing else I’ve read this year comes anywhere close to the magnitude of this masterful work. When I am choked up and wiping away tears so I can see the words on the page, terrified that the characters are seconds away from death…it doesn’t matter that I keep reminding myself that there’s another book in the series, so they’ve GOT to get out of this. It takes brilliant writing to take a reader to such a point.

Over the past four books Flicka, Dieter/Raphael, and Alina have become so much more than characters on a page to me. Those silly little pixels have integrated themselves into my heart in some way, and I find that I am completely invested in what happens to them. I love who they love, and hate who they hate. When, exactly did this become more than just a good story?

This portion of Flicka’s life had so much darkness to it that the book was aptly named. Yet the story isn’t full of despair and hopelessness like one might think. Flicka herself has always been a ray of light in the darkness—hope where there is none; and Dieter’s daughter Alina adds even more sunshine to the story. There’s lots of joy in these pages, even in the dark of night, because our Princess still has her armor, and she never, ever gives up hope. She is a total force to be reckoned with: what an awesome heroine!

We see an even more amazing side to the magnificent Dieter than we had in the previous novels, as we finally learn about his past and what he was truly running from. We pick up info on his early years as Raphael Mirabaud, and why he turned his back on his family. As he returns to his roots and again takes on the mantel of Raphael, he becomes even more fascinating, dynamic, and endearing. He is astoundingly complex, except in one area—his love for Alina and Flicka is deep and simple. He said it beautifully when talking about Alina: “she is my heart walking around outside of my body.”

Readers won’t be able to keep this book to themselves. It’s just too good. It’s one you can share with your best friend, since it’s full of amazing passion between our lovers (it’s the only time they can talk privately—I don’t think they ever sleep in this book!), and there’s also adult language and situations. As with the other books in this series, sensitive readers should be wary of possible triggers regarding kidnapping/rape/abuse. There are some pretty intense moments in this story. If you have not read the other books in the series, it is possible to read this as a stand-alone, but I would advise against it, simply because you will want to go back and pick up the full story anyway. Do yourself a favor and start from the beginning with Once Upon A Time so that you get the full story with the entire background on the characters. It will make this book so much more enjoyable.

Audiobook Review:
Overall – 5
Performance – 5
Story – 5

I'm stunned and nearly speechless.

The "Flicka" series is nearly complete and I can't wait for the final story and yet I don't want it to end. Blair Babylon has outdone herself with the cliffhanger ending for At Midnight. I won't give anything away but it will take more than a miracle to get Flicka and Dieter/Raphael out of the predicament she left them in.

This episode has Flicka, Alina and Dieter/Raphael pretty much under house arrest at his family home in Geneva. We learn more about his family and why he left them years ago. Flicka handles herself with her usual calm efficiency – even under the direst circumstances.

This series has been a nail-biter for me, just like her other ones, and I must have a bit of a masochistic streak to enjoy reading her stories. OK, I'm kidding about that, but, I'm in awe of her story-telling ability. She puts her characters through hell but manages to have everything work out OK in the end. This is why I know that she will save Flicka and Dieter/Raphael but book 5, Happily Ever After, can't come soon enough.

If you love tense, nail-biting, romantic, sexy stories I highly recommend this series as well as all of Blair Babylon's other books.

I’m really enjoying the voice actors for this series. Lucy Rivers does a great job with accents and so does Jason Clarke. If you are listening to this series without having first read it, I’m almost envious of you. I love this series so much but there’s nothing like experiencing it for the first time.

A complimentary copy of this audiobook was provided to me at my request but my review was voluntary and not influenced by the author and/or narrator.

Raphael is trying to keep Flicka and Alina safe

Now that Raphael/Dieter is back in Geneva, Flicka and Alina are under tight security Russian guards.
At all times there are guards watching over them.
Raphael's Father is evil and so deep with the Russian mob all he thinks of is money for the Geneva Bank.
Everyone is in jeopardy.
Sophia, Raphael's mother is so happy to see him. She thought he died many years ago.
She has taken in Flicka and her granddaughter, Alina.
His Father and Piotr Illyin, head of the Illyin Bravta are doing a lot of illegal dealings and trading.
Raphael only cares about keeping the two women in his life safe and alive.
Piotr is trying to get Raphael deeper and deeper involved in the illegal dealings. Eventually have him take the rap for everything for being a traitor when he was sixteen.
Prince Pierre of Monaco is still begging for her to come home to him. She has already divorced him in Vegas but he won't accept it.
Poor Flicka knows that her heart belongs to Dieter/Raphael.
He finally tells her that he has always loved her for years. The only reason he walked out of her life 2 years ago was to keep her safe from his previous life. The one they are living now.
Great story of love and respect. Two people fighting for the same outcome. To be free and love their little family.
She finally escapes with Alina back to Monaco but doesn't know what will happen to Raphael with the Russian mob.
Can't wait for the final chapter of their life together

Exquisite! All 5 of Dieter and Flicka's books would transfer beautifully to 'the big screen'! Most of Blair Babylon's books bring songs, melodies and/or lyrics with them(for me). This book is no exception! I don't want to be tagged for plagiarism(of a sort). But I can't deny the flow. Flicka ran to Dieter, no safer spot on earth. He's so incensed(wired really) over the savage treatment of her. There is his arms, there was no better place(except perhaps...in his arms & away from the kidnappers!!). Then, in the end of book 4, it is Dieter's heart that's screaming and bleeding. As Flicka and his toddler daughter leave, he starts losing control? Ah, but therein lies the mix. Dieter has fought so hard his whole life to control everything: a brutal, ruthless father; the Russian mafia(Bratva) that his father sold him out for; going on Rogue military missions to protect the innocent or weak and for almost half of his life he's fought for and protected his best friend Wulf and Wulf's sister Flicka. My, how destiny finds a way. Yet, at the end, Dieter is looking down the barrel of a Bratva pistol, while his heart and soul walk away! How, when and in what manner, will he gain control? And rescue Flicka and Alina. There is book 5 due Sept 18/18. Aptly titled 'Happily Ever After'. I can already hear Paganini by Rachmaninoff. Thank you again, Blair Babylon for so many churning emotions and a sodden heap of kleenex!

This is the fourth book of a five-book series. Flicka and Dieter/Raphael encounter dozens of bodyguards and men with military uniforms when they leave the courthouse after Flicka’s divorce decree from Pierre. Dieter makes a “deal with the Devil” a/k/a his father, Valerian Mirabaud, to keep her from being dragged back to Monaco. He has always said he would do whatever it took to keep her safe, and now he must prove it.

The book follows them as they are taken to Geneva, kept as “prisoners” in a mansion, and Raphael is forced to go back to the life that he worked so hard to leave behind.

There are heart-warming parts too. Flicka and Alina spend so much time together that they can bond. The fact that they look so similar has many people believing that they are mother and daughter. Seeing all three of them start to become a family is moving.

As the story unfolds, the plot takes many twists and turns. Both Flicka and Dieter/Raphael show themselves to be very resourceful. Blair is a master at keeping you guessing as to who is really a villain, who has ulterior motives, and who might ultimately surprise you.
This book does end with quite the cliff hanger. It makes you want to jump right into the next book, which comes out in September. I can’t wait!

I received a complimentary copy of the book, but also purchased a copy to support my favorite author!

Wow!! Still reeling from the ending. Compared to the other books in the series, At Midnight, the fourth instalment in Flicka's story is more intense, a genuine nail-biter. Blair Babylon sure knows how to tie her readers in knots, and I love her for it. Seriously can't wait to find out what's next and how Flicka and Dieter get out of the predicament they're in.

This series has turned out to be one of my favourites, and as much as I'm anticipating the next book, I don't want the series to end. The storylines are incredibly engaging, suspenseful, passionate, steamy, with enough intensity and plot twists to keep you on the very edge of your seat. The cast is phenomenal and very well-developed; Flicka, intelligent, calm, practical, and steady in the face of danger. Dieter is the ultimate hero, protective, loyal, capable, effective, and efficient; he's literally impossible not to adore. Together, they're perfect, magnetic, captivating with the strength and intelligence to face off unimaginable scenarios.

The narration is flawless. Jason Clarke and Lucy Rivers make you feel as though you are right there in the story existing in every moment with the characters. I absolutely love listening to them. All in all, At Midnight is steamy, suspenseful, romantic, with captivating characters and stellar narration, one I'm highly recommending.

Exciting, Complex Series

"At Midnight" is the 4th book in the "Runaway Billionaires: Flicka" series. The author, Blair Babylon, has written a sexy, gripping set of books. This is the first set by her that I have read, but if her previous books are this good, I'll not stop with Flicka. There's one more Flicka book to go in the series to be titled "Happily Ever After. " I can hardly wait! The first one in the series got my attention with the title Once Upon a Time," followed by "In Shining Armor, "In a Faraway Land," and then the current book. They are all contemporary, so the titles are metaphorical.
In this installment, Flicka and her hero are trapped in an untenable situation and as their plight becomes even more difficult, the tension is ratcheted up with occasional moments of romance and comedy. An Armani Kidnapping is a particularly droll chapter.
All of the books, including this one are well written and demonstrate the author's careful research, broad interests, and excellent editing. I highly recommend this series for those who love sexy romance, action, and cliff hangers that really make you impatient for the next installment. PLEASE START WITH THE FIRST ONE, though.

I wasn't sure where this story could possibly go that would give our hero and heroine an HEA, and then the author takes us a direction I never saw coming. Raphael simply wants to spend the rest of his life loving the one woman he's ever loved and having a family with her and his daughter. It isn't only the Ilyin Bratva that stands in their way but his family too. I kept wanting to shake his parents and wake them up to what was most important in their lives.

Flicka has he own set of issues with an ex who won't leave her alone, Russian bodyguards who give her no peace, and claustrophobia from being kept inside the same house for weeks at a time without the freedom to even catch her breath. She's found her responsibility for Raphael's daughter to be the one warm feeling she clings to. And in the end, her choices will change the entire game.

Every time I think the author is finally going to give us what we're looking for with this romance, she give us something else entirely, and surprisingly, it is exactly what I didn't know I wanted. This story just keeps getting more exciting and frightening as it goes along. I can hardly wait for the conclusion to see how she reconciles everything that has taken place in these first 4 books.

I think the cliffhanger will kill me with the wait to see what happens next for Flicka and Dieter!! Where this book had more drama, I could feel Flicka and Dieter's fear in where they have ended up. I liked that we now know more about the elusive Dieter Swartz and his background and I understand his reasons for leaving however I think that I was just as discouraged with the events as Dieter was when it felt as if all of his plans had been thwarted and it seemed hopeless. There were a few twists to their story that I did not see coming and waiting for the resolution is going to be hard. I do wonder where Wolf is in this story but I'm sure that we will see in the next book that I am going to eagerly await for!

In the audio version of this book, Jason Clarke and Lucy Rivers did a great job narrating this story. The pair really brought this story to life and made it an enjoyable listening experience. At the end of this installment I will admit that I had a hard time putting this book down! I have been hooked to Flicka and Dieter's story since book one and like most others want to see the pair get their HEA. I have loved all of Ms. Babylon's other books and this one is no different and would recommend this one as well as the entire series thus far to others!

I Lived & Breathed All of The Tension!😳💥
At Midnight
Billionaires in Disguise: Flicka (Runaway Princess #4)
Audiobook 🎧
By: Blair Babylon
Narrated by: Jason Clarke, Lucy Rivers
Length: 6 hrs and 50 mins

Wow, the blinders are taken off completely regarding Dieter's previous life!😲 Raphael is so unlike who his 'older self' becomes, but at least he knew he had a hard line he just couldn't cross!🙏 Flicka quickly realises that Alina & herself are pawns. As far as Raphael's Dad is concerned, they're just there to control his son. She's under constant & close guard without access to the outside world.😕

The family owned bank his Father is COO of, has been corrupted for decades. Most of the younger generation want it cleaned up as do some of the elders. Is it too rotten to save now though?😢 His past truly comes back to haunt him, as does his faith against being betrayed .... again!!💔 Can any of them make it out alive?💥

This was narrated so well. The multitude of emotions were so well portrayed by the actors. This ended on a massive & true cliffhanger!🙈 I'm really looking forward to listening to them bringing the finale to life.😍🌟

A Review of At Midnight: Billionaires in Disguise: Flicka (Runaway Princess Book 4) by Blair Babylon

Flika's story continues - 5+++++ Stars

After learning that Dieter is actually Raphael Mirabaud, Flicka is even more determined to get her divorce from Pierre. However, he is determined to take her back to Monaco by any means possible. Dieter/Raphael knows he has little choice in the decision of what happens when they leave that courthouse and are surrounded by Pierre's Secret Service. He accepts his father's help, knowing that it is the only chance they have. Flicka knows that this rescue isn't a true rescue, but a kidnapping, but she trusts Raphael to do what needs to be done. I can hardly wait for the last book in this series, to find out how things turn out. I just LOVE Blair's writing and how she makes you feel like you are there with her characters.

Raphel Mirabaud aka Dieter Schwarz. Trying to figure out how or why he was named after an Angel.
Flicka von Hannover, kidnapped, once again. This time, by Raphel's father, in the name of safeties sake...She was being held hostage (in the suite of a mansion).
Raphel, promises he would get her, Alina and himself out, as soon as he could. They just had to play by the "house rules" for now.
There have been so many twists and turns in this book. So many ups and downs. Gah! Now to have to wait!
Billionaires in Disguise: Flicka, Runaway Princess, has had fun and exciting moments and many sad and unfortunately, tragic moments, and this is the 4th book in the 5 book series, this holds truer than ever. Blair Babylon, is a superb writer and knows how to catch ahold of your attention, and not loosen her grip, until the end. But that's what keeps your interest piqued, right? Keep up the good work. This is 5 star quality writing.
