Born in Bulgaria, I have lived in places like Germany, Belgium and Iraq, before settling down with my family in Luxembourg. With varied interests, I have always suffered from an insatiable appetite for facts stemming from an unrestrainable intellectual curiosity. It has certainly influenced my academic background and career: after acquiring Master degrees in Greek Philology, German and English Translation, I graduated in Crisis Management and Diplomacy and, most recently, undertook an MBA.
My career has been equally broad and diverse, swinging from that of an army paratrooper and a military intelligence analyst; through to that of a civil servant with the European Commission, and presently, that of a clerk, performing purely financial tasks in a major bank. Member of MENSA.
Interesting mix of trivia facts, many of which I hadn't heard before. Facts were arranged into logical groups which I appreciated. A source I will definitely refer back to when creating trivia nights for work.
Appreciated the author's note at the end that explained his process of verifying the facts. I can feel confident that these are genuine and not made up.

I do enjoy reading facts. This book had many I didn't know and some I did. This book can be a quick read, but you can also take your time with it. This is the sort of book you can revisit again and probably end up being surprised by some of the facts again. I feel like I would read this again, when I feel like I have forgotten most of the facts.
Trivia is an interesting reading pastime for all of us. Now there is some good trivia books and then there are some bad trivia books. This one was for me one of the good ones. Now some of the facts I knew, but there were several I didn't know. So that is what for me makes a good trivia book the new pieces of information that I discover along with the older pieces that are known to me. Are The facts hard to believe not really to a true can of trivia, but that doesn't make them any less enjoyable to read and that is what counts.
This was an interesting book filled with many fun facts. I loved reading a few facts everyday to learn something new. Many of the facts in the book were interesting, and I hadn't know about before. The book is set up where there is a myth and afterwards comes the fact, correcting the myth. If you like learning random facts about different topics, then this book is for you!
This book is full of fun and interesting facts. Some of my favorites include: The Speghetti Tree, The First song sung in space, the ingredients in Mac Donald's French Fries, Gummy Bears, Sloths, lady bugs, planting trees to help lessen crimes, and twins born in 2 different countries.
This definitely contains a lot of trivia and conversation starters.
Very enjoyable and interesting. So many great conversation starters, very educational. Found myself googling more on the various topics brought up to find out more. Don’t have a photographic memory, but found many facts stuck with me as so many are hard to believe.
This is my second book that I've read from this author and I wished I could memorize all the great facts. I like the organization of the facts. Some facts seem to be repeated but I didn't really go back to confirm that.
I highly recommend this book even for conversation starters or conversation gaps. It's a great resource.
4.25/5 stars! This book was exactly what it looked like. 463 fun, weird, crazy, and unbelievable facts. This would be a super fun book for kids in a classroom or to pass around during a road trip. I thought it was silly and a good time.
True, no boredom. Like to broaden your knowledge, or just enjoy learning about obscure places, persons, or just things in general, this book is or you. Makes a nice passing time read when you feel up to feeling a bit brighter.
I found this an interesting and enjoyable read. It is great to pick up for a couple minutes here and there to learn something. I did appreciate that at certain points the author explained the information surrounding the fact to give more background and information.
For my purposes, finding trivia facts to MC a competition, I found many facts to cite. However, there were a lot of things that didn't help. Interesting read.
