Asher Wells used me up and threw me out like I meant nothing. When I fell for his empty promises, he left the next morning without a word, and I vowed to never speak his name again. Seven years later, he showed up as the new gym teacher at the elementary school I taught at. All I wanted was to pretend he wasn’t there. But there was something about him that made me vulnerable. Maybe it was because, at one point, he knew me better than I knew myself, or maybe it was because he could make me feel things I didn’t feel with my fiance. I kept things professional until Asher decided to remind me just why I’d fallen for him in the first place.

Faith and Asher had been friends for years. During a party for Asher’s graduation the two ended up sharing the night together. Never did Faith dream that she would wake up and Asher would be gone without a word. Seven years later Faith gets a huge surprise when she discovers the new gym teacher at the school she teaches at is none other than Asher Wells. Little does Asher know, Faith is engaged to someone else. So the question is do they both still have feelings for each other and will they find their way back to each other. This was such a sweet love story to me. Faith is such a sweet naive girl and has no idea how bad some people truly are. Asher knows how sweet and sensitive Faith is so he does everything he can to protect her. This story has lots of drama and plenty of heartache in it. It deals with real life subjects that will make you cry. It definitely has all the feelings you need to enjoy this beautiful love story. I absolutely loved this story and I can’t wait to read about the other characters in this book!
This book is a lovely second chance love story. Faith and Asher got together years ago but haven't seen each other in 7 years. When they meet again the chemistry is still there, but Faith is now engaged to a hot-shot lawyer, Asher won't give up on his second chance without a fight. This story is really well written and easy to read, you can really feel the attraction between Asher and Faith. There also some really good secondary characters that add to the story.
To say this story is great is a understatement! A young Faith decides to sleep with Asher the night before he leaves for college. When she waked up to an empty bed she is completely crushed! Seven long years later and guess who Faith bumps into.... Asher of course!! But there is one two legged loser standing between them. Faith can try her best to convince herself she has no feelings for Asher but it is a lost cause. Go on a journey of regret, mistakes, and second chances with these two that you will not regret!

Lovely story! Really enjoyed reading this. Faith is engaged to a successful mean, she loves her job so life couldn't get better right? But something is just not right and she can't put her finger on it, until she turns up at work one day and her whole life changes in an instant. This is a lovely read
The book is a good small town romance read. The story has a good story line. The characters are good, and they have good chemistry. The story is an enjoyable second chance romance read.

Let me tell you this is the first book by Lyra Winters that I have read, and I cant wait to read more of her books. Ofc this story is sort of like a second chance book, but its more of a rekindle in the relationship, because they had spent the night together then ofc he ghosted her.. 7 years later he returns back, and ofc she is engaged to a hot shot A**hole lawyer which Asher don't approve of. But Asher ends up taking a job at the school were Faith works and lets just say there chemistry starts to get hot lol.. They finally get the story they were suppose to get in the beginning. I cant wait to read more from Lyra Winters..
Faith and Asher spent the night together when they were graduating from high school and then he ghosted her. Seven years later they wind up teaching at the same school. She was surprised to see him again but she in a relationship. However, there were still feelings there and they are in a position to have a second chance at what might have been years before. I appreciated how well both characters are written. I rooted for this pair to come through this reunion and to find their way back together.

This was a contemporary romantic comedy story perfect for a quick afternoon read. A light upbeat romance tale full of hilarious banter that makes for a fast moving plot line with a well written storyline and great characters, it drew me in and I had it finished in one sitting.
This was a great second chance romance this was the first book I had read from this author and I cannot wait to read more. This was a really enjoyable read the storyline was good and held my interest all the way through. I liked the chemistry between Asher and Faith and thought they were so well suited. A good romance I really enjoyed it.
If you are looking for a sweet light read, this is the perfect story! It was fun and easy to read. Personally I expected a little bit more.. something was up with one of the side-characters (or so it seemed to be the way the parts about Eve were written) but it wasn’t clear in the end. Maybe in the next book? Overall a 4/5!
Lyra Winters did a great job on this story, the plot was strong, the story was written well. Faith and Asher have always been close, their connection was strong. Deep down, there was stronger feelings between the two. Their chemistry was sexy and sweet. The two were great together. I enjoyed Asher and Faith's story.
This was my first read from this author, so I had no idea what to expect. This was such a sweet, emotional story from start to finish. I will definitely read more from this author in the future. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is a sweet small town, second chance romance. This is well written story that has a very enjoyable storyline. Asher and Faith have great chemistry and interactions. I really liked this standalone start to this new series.
Not the most thought provoking book and the author did warn about abuse trigger. Fortunately the trigger was minor and the details were not there to be graphic and enrage any horrid memories. It would be wonderful to live in a world where someone would love you the way this couple loved each other. Unfortunately, in my experience Faith's relationship with Preston was a little more realistic. Although that was extreme, it was a taste of marriage. Work puts you on a back burner some nights, travel for work, drinks after work, clients, kids. You all to soon find yourself way down the priority list when it comes to day to day life in a marriage. Sorry, sad but true.
Lyra did an amazing job with this book! From the first page, I was completely hooked. This story is such a sweet second chance love story and I can't wait for the next book in the series!
A good story that surrounds a couple who were friends but take it a step further for a night. I felt for her as she realized he was gone. Then to reappear in her life years later to mess with her head was difficult. I thought the author handled the story well. I liked her character though I struggled with him because of his actions. A good story.
An amazing book of second-chance love. The characters are down to earth and relatable. I immediately in fell in love with the feisty heroine and the male made me swoon. Loved it so much I bought the paperback immediately before I had even finished reading it. First-rate work. Definitely a one-click author for me now.
Great characters that will keep your interest extremely well. I'm not going to go into detail, no spoilers, just read the book if you are even mildly intrigued by the blurb. You'll thank me later!
The chemistry, sweetness, and twists in plot kept things interesting. Add in drama and passion and you have a good read.

This was a great second-chance romance for Faith and Asher. Since the night Faith lost her virginity to Asher, she hasn't seen Asher and she thinks she's moved on. She even got engaged to a hot-shot lawyer, though I think her dad likes her fiancee more than she does. But that's something else entirely.
It's been 7 years since the night Asher left her behind and things have changed for them both, but when they meet again at Faith's elementary school (after Asher becomes the new gym teacher), the chemistry they had years ago is still there. But Faith's engagement throws a wrench in the plans.
But all works out in the end, and Asher and Faith get their happily ever after together. Of course, they've grown up and changed over time, but their maturity and growth help them form a better and more lasting romance after righting all of the wrongs from their pasts.
This book was great and I loved reading their romance. Plus the writer just seems to be able to write a wholesome, sweet romance for the couple without introducing cheating or petty arguments to the writing. And making the antagonist pretty crappy and hard to root for at all (which is good - being that it's the hotshot fiancee of Faith).
I beta read this book through the author before it was released and am voluntarily leaving a review based on this version.
The story of second chance love and passion meet sweetly in this book. Asher and Faith make you wish you knew them in real life and their friends have hoping the best for them. Pick this one up if you can. Love wins in the end.
