This book is divided into weeks to help you gradually become more aware of your intuition in a lighthearted and fun way. It also includes sections about how to bring your life more into alignment with your authentic self. With interesting exercises, journal prompts, and personal stories, this is the most enjoyable and most thorough book I've read about psychic development (and I've read many!). Highly recommend!

A truly brilliant book for developing your psychic abilities. Sonia intermingles her teachings with anecdotes of others, stories from her own life and it reads very well. The book is split into 12 weeks and even if you don’t think you’re very psychic (we all are!) it is still a great read and I’d recommend following the exercises Sonia has set for each week. A really good book, with great practical advice.

i'm finding this book really useful. right now i'm doing the thing where you start the week by writing down twenty wishes, and each day you whittle it down to less and less until you have three... i read part of this book a few years ago but the whole first part is about slowing down your pace and reducing clutter in your life, and i just wasn't there yet. but now i am, so i've been able to move further in the book. a lot of it feels like things i already know but it is nice to be taken through a process. sonia choquette is from chicago, i interviewed her once for an article i wrote about how to find a good psychic, she seems cool except for a couple racist references to "gypsy scam artists" in the part about stereotypes about psychics.

I don't even like the word psychic - but someone I respect recommended the book. This is truly a workbook for someone who wants to increase their psychic or intuitive (a word I prefer) abilities. It is very practical and down to earth - you are literally doing exercises that help clear your ability to tune in to the world around you. I have had some experience with energy work and chakra clearing - so if you are uncomfortable with that kind of thing, you may find the book off-putting - as it does get into that later. However, I loved her very practical, down to earth, no drama, no BS approach to becoming more intuitive. I found the book interesting and helpful.

The title is a little misleading... Psychic means 'of the soul'. Most of us think of the scam artists who hock their readings and skills for a not so small fee. The word has almost become synonymous with con artist unfortunately.

For anyone interested in tuning into intuition this is a helpful guide. Some of it veers into the seemingly silly but I think some of the exercises are for just that reason; to get back in touch with our instincts we need to cultivate a playful approach. One needs to adopt an almost childlike perspective in accepting that if we feel strongly about something (or someone) despite having no concrete evidence we should pay attention. Each chapter reviews the information with exercises and questions for reflection. One of the exercises encouraged readers to write down all of the instances they had a 'psychic' (psychic is her word for basic intuition) feeling that turned out to be correct. If you take the time to reflect and recall all of these you'd probably be surprised (and yes a little excited). Another exercise was to note all of the times you ignored your intuition and the outcome. I was surprised once I wrote some of these out; it's a clever way to encourage you to avoid doing this in the future. A section in here covered use of divination tools like tarot and I Ching to encourage further exploration of your intuitive practice. The I Ching in particular interests me and her explanation of it was thorough.

Many of us have this capability but our focus is obscured with background noise of hectic daily living. A chapter on self care emphasizes how important it is to be healthy, well rested and practice daily meditation to make the most of our intuition. Seems common sense but many people don't put it into practice. I appreciated her introduction to meditation too; it's something I eschewed for years as it always seemed tedious. Simply dedicating 15 minutes a day is all it takes. The benefits aren't just improving intuition; these techniques also alleviate stress and anxiety. Even if you're not sold on being able to fine tune your intuition via reading this book (and doing the exercises) you'll get some useful information regardless. I've read some of her other books and as always her approach is straightforward and not bogged down in esoteric crap.

One interesting section of the book I enjoyed detailed a few of her clients' issues (and how they not only were resolved but flourished once they put into practice her steps for following 'the psychic pathway'. This book title might scare off some people as being too new age and woo woo unfortunately. But the book is a great way to get back in touch with your intuition and get back on track with what makes you happy.

This book WELL exceeded expectations. I had a whole spiritual awakening doing this workbook. I’m already spiritually attuned and have had several psychic experiences and predictive dreams. But when I began doing the very simple instruction of this book—15 mins of meditation—I had profound revelations about my past trauma and current life. So profound that even my therapist bought this book, astounded by the progress I made in these meditations. Then as the book went on, I did all the activities—from learning runes to automatic writing to aura cleansing to making predictions—and I was really shocked at how well everything worked. I got messages from the universe, signs, miracles, all kinds of synchronicities. The most shocking was the psychic predictions—I had about a 70% success rate, and it was so eerie watching each random prediction come true. Like one example was I predicted a student would wear something that made me nostalgic for my childhood. Then the first student to walk in had on a Stevie nicks shirt and I immediately swoon—ohhhhhh, Stevie nicks!! While in my head I’m like, wow, this workbook wasn’t lying. I was so attached to this book that I was sincerely sad when the 12 weeks were over. But my psychic journaling was a treasure trove and I’m going to keep doing the book’s suggestions. This made me a pretty deep spiritual believer.

I have met Sonia Choquette, and any skepticism I might have had was answered and tossed out the window.

She is the real deal and this book is on my highest recommendation list for my own students.

I only got halfway through this book before I lost interest in it.

The exercises are broken down into very manageable pieces. The key is doing the exercises immediately. Plan to have a notebook and a writing utensil available so you don't make excuses for skipping the exercises.

The tools she provides, especially early in the book, are very useful for developing self-awareness and acknowledging some potentially uncomfortable habits or thought patterns that might be holding you back from being more intuitive.

For the most part, I thought this was a good book. I gave a two-star rating because I felt the exercises were dragged out more than necessary just to meet a word count. While I didn't finish the book, I did skim through the back and found more of the same.

Good compressive book and exercises to strengthen your psychic awareness. Exercises are a little intense and time consuming but seem to be simple enough for most people. I like her writing style and how she relates little stories as examples of what she is trying to explain.
I hope to get back to this someday and take it slower this time.

I loved this book!! It gave so much needed introspection and insight into learning more about who I am truly meant to be as a person and how we all have the power to be psychic if we take the time needed to develop our very own psychic intuition. Highly recommend this for people who are interested in personal growth from a metaphysical standpoint.

Enjoyed the questions at first but then they didn't seem to be as thought provoking for me and were dull exercises. Skipped ahead to clearing chakras, grounding, spirit guides - all much more interesting and practical.

An introduction on all sorts of psychic tools:
- Grounding
- Auras
- Chakras
- Spirit Guides
- Tuning into vibes
- Pendulums
- Tarot & playing cards
- Psychometry
- Meditation

This book is friendly and encouraging, with an uplifting can-do attitude. It also has little "fill it in yourself" sections to encourage you through as 12-week process of learning and developing your psychic side.

-

One note though: I would say, it's always a good idea to cross-reference any information you find, and tune into your own intuition about it. What may feel right to an author, or even what's been believed traditionally by many people over the course of history, may not always be completely in line with how things really work. You'll find different intuitives may have slightly differing beliefs; for example, some fear-infused teachings about things like "karma" or "psychic attacks" - while many people teach these are "real" things to be careful of, others believe this is something from the realm of "human-created-thought" / mass consciousness (ie, an illusion, not real - though still subject to the law of attraction so can appear to be real if given focus) and not from the realm of superconsciousness / absolute reality. Be open to feel out what feels right to you :)

Have you ever wondered what psychic do and how they tell you things? This book has the answers and tells you even steps to awaken this senses in yourself. I liked the dissection of things and that it shows you the step-by-step guide versus how most people just tell you I don't know just have this ability.

The other good part is that the author shares her own experience; although she has psychic abilities she struggles with some of the normal things the rest of the people struggle. That was interesting for me to see as the general perception is that someone who can read things will have their life in perfect order. That is an illusion we are all humans and being able to decode some of the unseen signals makes you more perceptive human not perfect.

Really interesting read. Was expecting a bunch of hocus Pocus bullshit, but was pleasantly surprised to find that it actually dove more into different beliefs and practices in a practical, straight forward way (like “here’s a concept. Here’s what it means. Here are some examples, and here’s how you can integrate it into your own life”). I dig that.
If anything, it’s more of an internal perspective/self help kind of book on bettering yourself, calming your anxieties and learning to ground and trust yourself than it is “here are some tea leaves, now find abstract shapes and come up with some BS to explain your confirmation biases and self-fulfilling prophecies.”
Would recommend to people who want to become more in-tune with themselves and add a bit of “magic” into their lives.

The Psychic Oathway us best read weekly over the course of 12-weeks. I took about 4 months instead of 3 with some travel so it was a bit disjointed but I appreciated how each lesson built upon the next. There were assessments as well as an unexpected but appreciated list of modalities to help define intuitive gifts as well as words of caution about this work and karma. If you feel intuitively called to this book, it’s one worth picking up, possibly more than once.

I started this workbook July 2023 when my second son was born and continued to return and simmer on the contents the next 18 months. I feel more in tune, more centered, more inspired after utilizing the spirituality practices throughout. Sonia is a gifted writer and teacher, and when asked to be on my podcast she declined press at the time, but with such love and respect. I will continue to return to these teachings and have high hopes I keep them at the base of what I do in 2025 and beyond.

Some of the exercises in this book are more helpful than others. A lot of it will feel repetitive if this is not your first book on developing second senses. There’s also a lot of fluff in this and is definitely a bit more woo than I usually resonate with. That said there are some useful insights amidst the repetition and woo.

This is such a great book to listen to your intuition when you want to heighten your awareness and Universal messages! My favorite chapter is #9! Asking for Psychic Direction - living life in partnership with the Universe. I specifically love ~ Yeah, But syndrome - this is progressing away from the ego into the alignment with your Soul!

I didn't get a lot out of it, but I remember reading it some years back and living it. Positions things in such a way that it doesn't necessarily conflict with monotheist religion (for better or worse)
