Every Monday night, I would go to the hotel. I never knew his name. He never knew mine.
His eyes held secrets. My eyes held lies.
When I was in his arms, nothing else in the world existed. Until the night everything changed.
My past is dictating my future. His past is dictating his life.
And we’re connected in a way I never saw coming. I should run from the mysterious man who can only further complicate my life, but it feels like I’m falling, and I can’t stop the inevitable crash.
Feels Like Falling is the first book in a three part novella trilogy from the New York Times Bestselling Author of The Ex Games and The Private Club J. S. Cooper. The books will be released weekly and so there are no long waits to find out the explosive and scandalous secrets that rock the pages of this book.
Book 1 in Feels Like Falling is a romance mystery and a hit! From the beginning which is told from Rosie’s point of view, I loved it and it will definitely draw you into this storyline! Her father is into politics and wants a good image from his family. Rosie lives at home with them. One day she meets a gorgeous man and they go to a motel and have amazing hot🔥 sex. Theirs is a no names and little talking setup. Then she starts receiving letters with pictures of her and her mystery lover. This is a fast paced storyline filled with so much! I loved this book it has suspense, mystery and secrets and it ends on a cliffhanger! But that’s ok because Jaimie has promised her readers a quick release of Books 2 yay 😁 for us! I received this book through BookFunnel for an honest review. I recommend this book! ❤️💕
This is book one in The Feels Like Falling series and omg what an amazing start to a new series and I couldn't put it down and I can't wait to read the next book book to see what will happen next in this adventure. They met in a very desolate train station that was no longer used and both sat on a bench looking up at the stars and that is how there story begins. They go to a hotel and there chemistry is off the charts got and you can feel it sizzling of the pages of this book and even though they don't know each other's names there connection is strong. Wow what a roller coaster ride of emotions along with secrets and a cliff hanger ending along with all the twists and turns that will have you turning the pages and I am totally addicted to this series already. J. S. Cooper is an amazing author and writer and I definitely recommend you read this book as she certainly knows how to keep her reader's attention and on there goes but just remember that this series is in three parts so you will have to read the next one to carry on the story but it will definitely be worth is and you will not be disappointed.
I’ve read a lot of books written by J.S. Cooper; she has done a great job at writing a good book; she is one of my favorite authors.
This is the first book in the Feels Like Falling Series; I loved the chemistry between the characters; the story ended in a cliffhanger and I can’t wait to read the rest of the series.
I received a free copy of this book and I’m voluntarily leaving a review.
I dived straight into this book and loved it!! What Rosie and Mr. X have secretly going on isn’t as secret as she thinks it is and the suspense and tension keeps building and I’m dying for the next one. I can’t wait to see how this will unravel
Intense mystery a foot. Rosie is starting to realize that her life is totally different than what it has appeared to be. A mysterious man comes into her life, now she must figure out who he is and why she can’t stop thinking about him. Then also figure out what her fiancé is up to which can’t be anything good.
This is book one of three in J.S. Cooper’s new “Feels Like Falling” series and it does end in a cliffhanger. You will be left wanting more at the end of this book but the good news is Ms. Cooper won’t keep us waiting long. The complete series will be out by the end of April 2021.
The story line is vastly different from the usual romances that Ms. Cooper writes and I absolutely love this new side of her writing style! My attention was grabbed by the end of the first chapter and I could not put the book down until I was finished. If you enjoyed reading “To Whom it May Concern” and “Return to Sender” then I think you will enjoy this book, especially if you liked the aspect of there being secrets and some mystery. I will warn you, this is a dark story, much darker than what Ms. Cooper typically writes and yet it does have a wonderful romantic aspect.
Secretive, deceptive, sexy, shocking, and scandalous are just a few of the ways to describe this story. It reads like a journal that Rosie has written and she states “I need to get everything out just in case I need an alibi”.
Rosie is a thirty year old woman who has had her heart broken, made a mistake, has some secrets, and now faces the consequences of her actions. She really is a good woman, she is just caught up in something (or a few somethings) she shouldn’t be a part of.
You learn some background info on how Rosie reached this point in life as she writes in her journal and tries to figure out the mystery of who Mr. X is. It seems the more Rosie pokes around, the more people are involved, and the more mysterious things get.
The story in unpredictable and I found myself saying “what the heck just happened and how is so and so involved” several times but especially with the cliffhanger. It is a refreshing change from the usual sweet romances and romantic comedies I typically read.
I received a complimentary copy of this book and am voluntarily giving an honest review
Rosie’s Story Pulls You In From The Start! The Mystery Deepens As Her Story Progresses.
This is book one of the Feels Like Falling series of novellas about Rosie.
Rosie, thirty, used to believe in love and happily ever after. She dreamed of marrying her own Prince Charming. She thought she was on her way to a fairy tale ending once. She had been twenty-six when she met Joey, and he was just twenty-seven. But here she is years later, paying for her mistakes. She might have been raised in privilege, but she now realizes that her life is anything but free.
She probably began to lose her self-confidence when she saw her parents’ marriage for what it was. She had looked up to her father, a sitting U.S. Senator with aspirations to run for the presidency. But she eventually saw that he cheated on her mother routinely, and that her mother turned to alcohol to numb the pain. Her mother never stood up for herself, and Rosie was following in the same pattern. She had gotten herself in a jam, and her father was not going to let her live it down. He was going to use it to his own advantage, regardless of what Rosie thought.
But recently Rosie has been throwing caution to the wind. She is beginning to feel alive, and she doesn’t want to let that feeling go. Hotel Guy did that for her, but she doesn’t even know his name. He doesn’t know her name, either. And that is the beauty of it all, because she is free to be herself. Rosie’s story is just unfolding, and the mystery deepens as it progresses. The story continues in Feels Like Flying, book two of the series.
Rosie’s story pulls you in from the start. There are steamy scenes and a lot of mystery as she narrates her own story from the pages of her journal. The novella is well-written. It is plot-driven. The story is told in first person from Rosie’s POV. I rate this novella 4.5 stars.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review.
We were two strangers in the night. Every Monday night, I would go to the hotel. I never knew his name. He never knew mine. His eyes held secrets. My eyes held lies. When I was in his arms, nothing else in the world existed. Until one night everything changed. My past is dictating my future. His past is dictating his life. And we're connected in a way I never saw coming. I should run from the mysterious man who can only further complicate my life, but it feels like I'm falling and I can't stop the inevitable crash.
Feels Like Falling is the first novella in a three part trilogy. The books are suppose to be released weekly so never fear you won't have to wait long at all for the next book. Rosie thinks that what she has going on with Mr X is a huge secret but it really isn't as secret as she thinks it is. She has a father who is in politics and expects his family to keep up the good image that he has for the public. She tries to be the good daughter but one day she meets a man and they take off right away for a hotel. No names are exchanged and very little talking takes place as these turn into a every Monday night thing. But then just when she thinks this little secret is safe she starts to receive pictures of herself and Mr X. Who is doing this and why? I loved reading this story told from Rosie's point of view and I need the next on in my hands now to see what is going to happen.
Okay so I've had this unbelievable sweet deal going on with Mr. Guy who totally rocks my world and for the moments I'm truly happy. Because honestly I need an escape from my own pitiful reality; since nothing about my real life Is quite that simple anymore. And yes I may have made a few regretable mistakes in my past so now my own father has it in his head he's the only person qualify to run my life. And the so-called wonderful guy my father's so desperate to shackle me to might have a pretty face but he has the manners of a barn animal and oh yeah he definitely brays like one. However once my father realizes I'm not over the moon or even enjoying my meeting with Mr. Jerk he decides to send me home. Which leads me to discovering something waiting just for me and boy oh boy; you could say that I was totally blindsided by it's content. Yet the only thing I can think of is to run back to the one place I've found a small amount of something there. And maybe just maybe all the answers to my burning questions will be answered.
First off this cover is amazing and will pull you in just based on that. And then once you start reading this story you can’t put it down and you want to know what is happening and how it’s all going to end right now. But alas you must wait for book two and three which is totally worth it. Rosie is a 30 year old woman who is in a situation that she’s not sure how she got there, however she wants to get to the bottom of it. And every time she thinks she has one thing figured out she ends up with even more questions and mystery surrounding her. And of course let’s not forget Mr. X or is it Jackson? He’s sexy, mysterious, and for Rosie he’s too hard to resist. Will Rosie be able to figure out what’s truly going on and find a way to live the life she wants or will she be forced into a life of her father’s choosing? I can’t wait to read part two, Feels Like Flying, next week to see where this amazing story will take Rosie.
This has got to be the best book Jaimie has written so far and we still have two more novella’s to go in this trilogy, it was just amazing I can’t express the rollercoaster of emotions I had reading this, talk about being totally addicted. So many questions left unanswered, my mind is in overdrive!! Rosie a senator’s daughter mets mystery man goes by the name of Jackson??, the sex and chemistry is off the charts but then it all comes apart!! Forced into an arranged engagement by her controlling father to a sleaze bag, then she starts receiving compromising photographs of herself and mystery man, who are these people?? And why has her life become so complicated!! Maybe the next book will unravel some answers!! I’m rooting for Jackson, I like sexy, dark and mysterious but who am I ?? I was given this as an ARC by the author in exchange for a voluntary honest review which I was totally happy to provide.
They met as two strangers on park benches and it turned into something neither expected. Rosie is drawn to him for how he makes her feel. They never exchanged names or any information about each other. They just meet at the same hotel room. However now Rosie has received pictures someone has taken of them together and knows that it won't be long until her secret is out. Her father is heading to higher things in politics and won't accept any scandals. So her parents have arranged a marriage for her. When she meets with her mystery man she learns that he knows who she is. Is her sexy stranger someone she can trust? Will she go through with the marriage after seeing who her groom to be is?
This is an amazing start of this series once I started it I couldn't put it down. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.
Excellent and intriguing This is the first part of this trilogy which is a surprising story by the tone taken by the narrator, here the heroine Rosie. Her character is intriguing from the start, by the questions she asks herself, how she got to the situation she chose knowing so little. Who is the stranger and what are his reasons? Either way, it's a hell of an inner search for Rosie, especially when you discover her life and what is promised to her, as well as all the mysteries she discovers around her regarding the men who are there surrounding her. The relationship between Mr. X and her is all the more exciting. It’s a different kind of story of the ones that I had read from JS Cooper before, but I love the twisted morality of the universe that surrounds Rosie. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book
Wow a different type of story, I must say. Rosie sounded like she was writing in her journal, story telling of her affair with a non named guy she named Jackson (not really his name) but anyways he was attracted to Rosie after her so called boyfriend dumped her for his other girlfriend in Iowa. The story was really getting interesting. Rosie's father was a Senator and he thought she should marry a guy she has never met, like a prearranged marriage. The father would have more votes if she was married, Rosie's 30 years old and needs a man in her life, instead of losers. She starts spend nights with a guy named Mr. X, photos start showing up at her parents house. To be ... Cliffhanger she needs a alibi! ENJOY Cheap book , take a chance to find out what or who happens next!!
Aargh! An amazing start to this series; however, I wish it wasn’t a series because it’s SO compelling that I found myself lost in the story, and then wham…gotta wait. Thank God the whole series will be out by the end of the month, so I don’t have to wait long. At 78 (soon 79) I just hope my brain still remembers this one (if not I'll wait for the third book and read them all at one time to get the full impact). Rosie and Jackson are terrific characters with “off the charts" chemistry. Wish we knew who and/or what he was. (Thank God at 79 I have my Kindle and my Kindle Fire so if I have to go to the hospital I’ll still be able to find out!!!) I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
This is book 1 of 3, not a standalone. I did check and to purchase all 3 books is $6, so far only having read book one it is worth it. Rosie is a spoiled rich girl that is just starting to realize how bad that is. Her dad is a controlling man and he has big plans for her, weather she wants it or not. The only time she feels free is when she meets her mystery man for hot anonymous loving. Even that has changed cause someone knows. This is a book told from Rosie's point of view. Everything is a mystery and she doesn't know who she can trust. Looking forward to book 2! I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
This is the first book in J S Cooper's new Feels Like Falling Series. It's an incredible start to this series which is different from J S Cooper' s previous books. I really like her new style and this was a great book that was hard to put down. It does end with a cliffhanger but the second book will be available soon. You'll love Rosie's story and it's a page turner. Emotional, heartbreaking, heartwarming and so much more. Two strangers meet in a desolate train station and go to a hotel where they remain strangers in name only. Their chemistry is off the charts. Strangers in the night and more to come. I read an arc via the author and voluntarily chose to review it.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book Oh my word, what was that. For such a short novella, I was hooked and it sure packs a punch. It was like a secret romance for Rosie and meeting up with a sexy hot man “Jackson”. He brings some life and passion into her controlled existence. Her father is a Senator and wants her to marry the man of HIS choosing. Why!!!! She needs help so she decides to find Jackson. Now the plot gets more intriguing. Lots of unanswered questions, secret photos, being watched and that’s just for starters. I read this story so quickly to find out what happens next. Didn’t realise it was a three parter but oh boy, I am so pleased .
The book started off a bit confusing because it's almost a mystery as to who she is and who he is and how they come to arrive at the point they are at. But as you read you get a sense he knows who she is and just a pawn in her father's game and set her up to get her to fall in line with what he wanted her to do in order for him to run for President of the United States. I get the notion the stranger knew she was going to be at the abandoned train station so they could meet. The question is how does her supposed fiancee know Patrick the guy from the bar? Did Patrick see her and Jackson in the alley? The book keeps you guessing until the end.
This is the 1st part of a 3-part trilogy of novella’s, and what a fantastic beginning to a new series this story is. Rosie meets a mysterious man, and they start to meet every Monday night with no names exchanged, and suddenly she starts receiving pictures of her with her mystery lover. The chemistry between these two is off the charts and undeniable, and after that cliffhanger, I cannot wait to #2. This is a well written tale which is an emotional roller coaster, and is a quick read and filled with secrets, suspense, twists, mystery, and suspense. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I recommend.
Rosie comes from a powerful and affluent family however her quest for Mr. Right led her to Mr. Wrong and resulted in a decision that changed her life. It has not only sealed her fate for the future, but it has brought Mr. X into her life.
Mr. X is a stranger that she meets on a weekly basis who seems to know a lot more about her than she knows about him and her search for the truth brings more questions with no answers. The first part of this series is filled with intrigue and hot chemistry and leaves us wondering who he is and if there is more to her appearance in her life than she realizes.
OMG This is an Amazing read!!! and a fabulous start to this series. Rosie and Jackson's story is full of mystery, intrigue and so much chemistry. Rosie is having weekly trysts with a mystery man and unknown to her she is caught doing so. But when your dad is the senator and your future is already planned out for you, this discovery could have consequences. This book kept me completely enraptured and I could not stop from turning the pages,it is so well thought out and written perfectly with the right amount of suspense by J.S Cooper that it has you wanting more. I am very excited for the next book. This is a Brilliant story and I highly recommend it. 5 magnificent Stars.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this. This is the first book in a three part series. It's a quick read that leaves you in a huge cliffhanger and patiently waiting for the next book to come out. Thank goodness we don't have to wait long. Rosie's life is not what she expected. She is 30 years old and being forced to marry a douchebag of a man her father set up for her. The only light in her life is the Monday night meetings with Mr. X. He gives her everything she needs and doesn't ask any questions. Now someone knows about their secret meetings and is possibly trying to blackmail her. She just needs to figure out who it is and what they want before it gets back to her father.
Omg. JS Cooper has done it again! This book is filled with secret twists and sexual desires. Can’t wait for the next part as this was left on the Highest cliffhanger you could imagine.. Although other reviews have mentioned a slow start to this story, I’d have to beg to differ. Just like the title reads “Feels like Falling” well I FELL RIGHT INTO THIS STORY and I was completely enthralled from start to finish. So clear your schedule for a few hours, grab a nice comfy reading spot to sit and your favorite drink and be prepared to “Feel like Falling” too..
I received an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.
At first, the book may seem "slow", but I promise you won't regret sticking around and continuing to read. It is a mystery story for sure, a page turner. Every time I learned something new about the situation, I wanted to know more. To be honest, I'm kind of at a loss on what to say in this review, only because telling you even the smallest detail gives away the mystery. And trust me, you do not want to know the story from a review. Highly recommend and can't wait for book 2!
I really love the way Rosie take us into her life, the complexity of all the characters especially her dad the Senator. This book is filled with drama, sadness, blackmail and danger all the ingredients that keep you wanting more so much more. Rosie’s story will definitely keep you intrigued waiting to see what will happened next. Believe me you will not be able to stop reading until the last word and then book 2 to see what will happened next I just can’t wait. I highly recommended it, it is addictive. I received and ARC and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
I received Feels Like Falling by JS Cooper thru bookfunnel as an ARC. I loved it that I ended up buying it.
You get gripped in from the beginning "We meet once or twice a week at a hotel...." Story told by her POV-Rosie where she meets a tall, dark, and handsome stranger and then the story begins... wanna know what happens? Must read...
There's mystery, suspense, some hot & sexy bedroom scenes and such a page turner....be aware this is a 3 part story, it does end with a cliffy....
In this short novel you meet Rosie, a woman from a powerful rich family who is being forced to marry a stranger by her father. She is keeping a huge secret from her family. One that could ruin her family. But she is tired of living for them and wants to feel alive. Now she is being stalked and must get to the bottom of who is following her and why.
There are lots of twists in this story!! It will have you trying to guess what is going on. JS Cooper did an amazing job with this book. It’s not her typical type of book and I love the mystery and darkness!! Well done!!
OMG is all I can say. We meet Rosie and Jackson (possibly could be called Alex) and the chemistry is of the charts, but because Rosie did something stupid she is in debt to her father who is a senator. I'm curious as to why the secrecy between Rosie and Jackson? Why is the Stalkers, and I'm intrigued as to how Patrick knows James???? I was shouting at my tablet when the book came to an end I was that engrossed. Another brilliantly written book J S Cooper, I can't wait for the 2nd book 😊❤️
Oh my this story is absolutely intriguing, enticing and suspenseful!! What has Rosie gotten herself into? She’s having secret rendezvous’ with a stranger and someone has caught her doing so!! She and the stranger have a sexual bond but Rosie realizes she wants to know more about him. Her father is forcing her to marry a man to help him gain in his political aspirations. This book is a page turner that will keep you on your toes wondering what the heck is happening. Enjoy the suspense, I know I did!
