The sector is starving. Frit is dead. The Krox have left the Confederacy, and the rest of it is falling apart. Time is fast running out to stop Necrotis, who will win through simple attrition if we do nothing.
The time has come to ride to war. Xal'Aran is training me to be the deadliest captain to ever command the Word of Xal, and will be flying alongside me to hunt down Necrotis. Nor do we ride alone. Voria and her Spellship will guide us into the storm to hunt our enemy once and for all.
We have a tool that can stop her, but if we use it then we could tear a permanent Fissure into our reality. We could free the denizens themselves. And lurking behind it all is a mysterious new race. A race of machines with a name even the Dragonflights only dared whisper.
By day I am an iPhone developer architecting the app used to scope Stephen Colbert’s ear. By night I am Batman. Ok maybe not. One can dream though, right?
I’ve been writing since I was six years old and started inflicting my work on others at age 18. By age 24 people stopped running away when I approached them with a new story and shortly thereafter I published my first one in the Rifter.
Wait you’re still reading?
Ok, the facts I’m supposed to list in a bio. As of this writing I’m 38 years old and live just north of the Golden Gate Bridge in the beautiful town of Mill Valley. If you’re unsure how to find it just follow the smell of self-entitlement. Once you see the teens driving Teslas you’ll know you’re in the right place.
I live in a tiny studio that I can cross in (literally) five steps and don’t own an oven. But you know what? It’s worth it. I love developing iPhone apps and if you want to work in San Francisco you accept that rent for a tiny place costs more than most people’s mortgage.
If you and about 2 million other people start buying my books I promise to move out of Marin to a house in the redwoods up in Guerneville. No pressure. Wait that’s a lie. Pressure.
After 12 books in the magitech universe and 9 in the Void Wraith universe we get the tie in we have been waiting for! Hidden facts are revealed, butts get kicked, crap hits the fan, and the galaxy better prep for the biggest war we've seen yet! To be continued on the next episode of....
More often same to keep you well occupied during lockdown. Not the final stage, but important. Our intrepid heroes put aside their differences, hoping to wreak havoc, and there is plenty of that available. Read on......
Jerek's small group of friends and followers has grown as his ability and knowledge have improved. No longer the shy and self-deprecating master gamer, he now leads a crew and an army of followers. His crew consists of his longtime friends and some more recent followers with more than a little divinity in their backgrounds. His journey has been long and painful. His losses devastating, his gains slight, but he persevered. He has gained much knowledge and now stands ready to take the fight to Voria.
From the Mighty Fizgig to mighty Jerek, the war against the Ganog has taken many forms and now the fight is in the realms of Divinity. Knowledge is power in this reality and Jerek has learned from the very best. He now can use most of the forms of magic and power including his ultimate weapon - he now controls disintegrate, the most brutal form of spell that takes all it touches to its component atoms and energies. There is no coming back from a weapon that can easily destroy your very soul. Yet can even this power aid him in the coming fight? Will he become lost like his father?
As this storyline winds down we are left with many questions, chief of which is - where do we go from here? What remains to battle in the future? Have the Void Wraith been overcome? Are they still coming? If this is the end, where is the new beginning? I'm betting there's another trilogy or so to continue the saga. I hope so.
This story was quite a shocker. The fact that the gods war was a prelude to something worse. Talk about adding details to a complicated story. I find it interesting that the author has not gone into details about the origins of races or other things in the series.I do like a mystery but there are so many possibilities for this series to go towards. I hope it doesn't get to strange there is a lot to keep track. What a good book with an interesting twist. Hope there is more to come.
Chris's books are creative and well written. I did like Chonicles better though, it was more exciting, but these are still great. The one main thing that has been bothering me, however, is the amount of feminism he has injected into these books. It yanks me from the story and grates on my nerves a bit. Not a fan of it.
SUPER EXCITED to see where this goes next!!! If you love magic, tech, dragons, aliens, space battle, gods, and all things magical and techy, you will love this series!!! The universe and everything dark and creepy are starting to blend together in the best possible ways! I love tongue in cheek heroes that realize they are cliches. There is always something happening that just keeps you guessing! Will the heroes prevail? Who else may die? Who might be brought back? How can you defeat an.... I’m getting ahead of myself. This book is definitely important in the overall continuity of this adventure. From Aran’s mind wipe to THIS!?!? It’s been a helluva ride! And we thought we were riding to heaven.... BUT.... All hail the big G!!!!!
I get that the whole "eliminate the current threat to hype up the next one" thing worked last time, but there was a lot more build up that time. This just sort of happened and I wanted to see them fight the zombie dragon god...
