Marcus
After many long years, I was finally going to make the leap, invest in my future, and build some equity. I was ready to buy a house.
I was at the bank, waiting in line to talk to the teller. I quickly realized she was definitely my type.
Only a few people ahead of me when I noticed something strange.
The men in front of me were acting very suspicious.
That’s when they pulled out guns and threatened the cute bank teller.
My military training kicked in, and I knew I had to do whatever it took to protect the beautiful woman behind the counter.

Dana
It was another boring day at the bank.
The line was long, and my customer service smile was wavering.
The hunk of a man in line was a nice distraction.
That is, until the guys in front of him pulled out guns, completely turning my life upside down.
I froze up in complete shock as they demanded the money.
I thought I was done for.
I never expected the muscular guy in line would save my life.

Short story telling a sweet & steamy insta-love romance with a curvy younger woman and an older alpha military man. Happily ever after! No cliffhangers! No cheating!

I am voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this book.

Dana was having a day like any other, working at the bank was a job she loved. But everything was about to change when two men pulled a gun on her and demanded money, in a split second the gun went off and she sees one of her colleagues shot. Her saviour comes in the shape of Marcus a handsome man she had noticed earlier and his military skills save her and the rest of the people in the bank. When she’s having trouble dealing with everything that happened she turns to Marcus and as time goes on her feelings change, but does Marcus feel the same or is what they share just friendship?

Marcus is ready to settle down and build a life for himself outside of the military, needing to secure finance for a house is how he found himself at the bank that day. Standing in line waiting to be seen by the beautiful bank teller he wasn’t expecting to still need his combat skills but when tsk men try to rob the bank and the security guard gets shot it is his training that kicks in. Dana he can tell is having trouble dealing with the trauma after that day and as much as he desires her he knows what she needs right now is a friend, could there be more between them in the future?

The story was one with a lot of promise but I found the writing stilted and jumpy, I didn’t really feel the connection between them and I understand that this was a slow build but for me it just fell a little flat. 3.5* read.

Marcus was at a point in life he wanted to settle down, Dana worked at the bank and loved finance. When they meet was the day their lives took a took toward the dangerous and terrifying. Marcus is a well written story of two people getting to know each other due to a shared experience, in this case a bank robbery. Marcus took it upon himself to check in with Dana, as she was having a difficult time after words.

I love that this story was more about growing together and healing than the fast instalove. Now don't get me wrong I enjoy that also, but this was a sweet and caring showing love in several different ways.

Military Men of Valor book 6. Dana and Marcus. Marcus is ex-military, always aware. He's waiting to apply for a first home loan when things go awry in the bank. The pretty teller he noticed earlier is in danger. Marcus saves the day but can he save Dana from the effects of what happened? This romance is short, told in dual POV, features a mutual insta-attraction. I like how thoughtful Marcus is in his first encounters with Dana, the issue of dealing with trauma, a slow build of trust and nicely detailed intimacy with a HEA!

" I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. "

It was an easy and sweet read, and the characters were likable. Marcus was in the right place at the right time to stop a bank robbery in progress. With his attraction to the traumatized bank teller, he volunteered to help her through her PTSD. He stated that she helped him also but I wished the author expanded a bit on that. I really enjoyed reading this book.

This was a great read, all Marcus wanted to do was get a loan so that he could buy a new house now that he is out of the service. However things do not go as planned when two guys show up and try to rob the bank.

Another enjoyable read in this series Military Men of Valor. This quick, enjoyable read and the sixth book. This is the story of Marcus and Dana and their journey to their happily ever after. Each book is just as great as the previous ones. You will want to read them all.
