Cat and mouse
A great story. It was an intense instalment of the latest Guardian book. Reaper might work in the shadows, but his kills make a statement. Ten years earlier, he left the woman he lived to protect her. Now, a sadistic international criminal is playing a dangerous game of cat and mouse.
The book is an incredible page turner as soon as I finish one chapter. I wanted to know what would happen next. This book leads into what looks like a whole crossover of all things Guardian. I can wait for the Seige.

RIVETING STORY AS USUAL!!!👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I love Kris Michaels books!!! They are a guaranteed treat to read!! As usual, this one was perfection. Suspenseful, riveting, and with a cleverly executed plot filled with lots of twists and turns that kept me up reading into the early morning hours...The action was non-stop ..... The beautiful love story between Roman and Harmony was so touching, sexy, and heartwarming. They had loved each other for years and their reunion with each other was so satisfying to read about. Their emotional attachment to each other was so deep and unbreakable that I couldn't wait for them to see each other again... It was so romantic!... ❤.... It was also wonderful to be caught up in the Guardian's world again... I really enjoy how effective, organized, and tough they are. Their loyalty to each other and comradery is one of the best parts of each book and I look forward to hearing about what they are up to! Kris Michaels' writing and descriptions are always so vivid that you feel like you are standing watching each part of the story unfold in real life. I highly recommend this book and all the books in this series..... They are all top notch and highly entertaining! 😇

OMG! Can this series get any better!
No plot spoilers
No real potential triggers although there is reference to kidnap and sexual/physical torture.
I love how the author brings romance into the books, even under the most pressing and stressful times the love is there.
The characterisation is absolutely flawless, with the main characters jumping from the page and taking a place in the mind of the reader. I found both main characters deeply believable with individual personalities and motivators that resonate with me.
The plotline is a continuation from previous books in the series with the backstory dropping one drip at a time as Guardian work the clues.
One of the nicest things is catching up with previous characters and gaining more information about them as well as learning more detail on newer characters such as Phoenix and the delicious Operator two seven four.
The lead in to the Siege books has now got me on tenterhooks and I can't wait for the release date.
There are a couple of sex scenes and some swearing.
If you are a fan of romance and suspense with strong characters I have no problem recommending the series but would advise reading from the beginning to obtain the best reading experience.

Reaper is the next story in the Guardian Security Shadows World and can I just say that each book I read, each and EVERY one has been hungry for more❣️

Can I just start with the end?
This was back onto a course that I totally got and was fully immersed into immediately. Loved it... loved Reaper, loved Harmony. Only real blip for me was the fact that he and Val had had sex... why did we need to know that? It added nothing. Reminded me very much of Lycos and Moriah... didn't like that either.
And I loved loved loved the expansion of the Operator in this... I see interesting things in the future... fingers crossed!!

I was actually enjoying this book until the mfc was introduced. Words like naive, sheltered, poor, neglected, ignorant and desperate just can't hide someone who is willfully stupid. I was going to initially drop this book when she was almost sexually assaulted but then rationalizes her safety with excuses like "she just really wants to paint, is learning so much, and she's a country girl so she can protect herself". ARE YOU FRICK'N KIDDING ME???
This girl has had so many red flags that it was ridiculous.
1. She won a contest that she never entered.
2. The school campus is being renovated, so she has never attended an actual class or met classmates.
3. Professors give her private lessons.
4. She is pretty isolated and has to paint practically all the time. No time for anything else.
5. A super rich, privileged, attractive and connected young man makes continuous sexual advances that only increase in intensity as time goes by. Why her of all people?
6. The door was locked, yet he managed to get in unannounced.
7. He is now telling her where she will go, what to wear and will do.
8. The paintings that she specializes in are old classics.
I mean, come on. As soon as I read those clues, I knew immediately what was going on. How can a painter of her level not know about forgeries and history? My last straw was when she was then informed of her stupidity and going to be blackmailed. Her first question was if she would only have to paint. Again, ARE YOU FRICK'N KIDDING ME??? If they are willing to stoop to that level, whose to say that they wouldn't sell her, force her to have sex, give her drugs, torture or even kill her after they get what they want, she has no more use, or is uncooperative.
Except for one other book, I don't think that there are any other Kris Michael books that haven't been at least okay or liked. That book was also for a very unlikable mfc (Kaylee).
Okay, so I skim/read the rest of the book for the other characters. It was good for the most part. The mfc was dumb again and painted a portrait of the mc that could have got them both busted. Why take the risk? She apparently just has to sometimes paint what she wants. UGH!!!
She also ended up kidnapped and losing her earpiece so that they couldn't get to her before being physically assaulted. I mean, they knew it was a high possibility and had 24 hr security on her. The best in the world still ended up letting her slip right through their fingers. *Sigh*

I couldn't wait to dive into this series - binging my way through this thrilling blend of high-stakes suspense, military precision, and emotional romance. This series is a spin-off from her Kings of Guardian universe, and dives into the covert, dangerous, and morally complex missions of elite operatives working in the shadows where the stakes are high, loyalty is tested, danger is constant, and love often comes at the highest cost.
Each book focuses on a different operative, giving us a fresh perspective each time, while also weaving in an overarching sense of camaraderie and found family. The characters are layered - hardened by their pasts and yet still vulnerable in ways that make them relatable. I recommend reading the series from the beginning, reading each book in sequential order for you to be able to fully appreciate the interconnected relationships and evolving team dynamics.
Ms. Michaels doesn’t shy away from the darker realities of covert work, but she also infuses hope, resilience, and the healing power of love into her storylines.
So, if you enjoy romantic suspense with military and intelligence intrigue, then you will want to dive into this world and experience all the action, passion, and edge of your seat missions for yourself.

Love between the dark and the light
Reaper left behind his first and only love. Harmony kept his secret that cost them both a loving relationship. She finally gets the opportunity to develop her artistic painting skills and goes to Paris. Reaper is given a second chance when Harmony finds herself in a very dangerous situation.
I couldn’t put this book down once I started it. Kris Michaels does a fantastic job bringing this two together again and doing it with exciting action and suspenseful situations. I love that Reapers dark side is drawn out by Harmony’s goodness. She is the light that draws his love out of the darkness that surrounds him. What an incredible journey for these characters and I just loved the ending or should I say the beginning? Loved every single word!

Wow Wow wow!!! Heart racing read, especially near the end!! OMG!!
I’ve been a fan of the original Kings Of Guardian series, and all the spin offs especially the shadows since the beginning, I’m invested in these characters, and love catching up with everyone with each read. Reaper was a gripping read, and I am sooooo intrigued by “operator” and “Phoenix”, can’t wait for his book.
This book is the epitome of great romantic suspense, we get twists & turns, shocking surprises both good and bad, the writing pulls you into the world in a way that you feel you know all the characters, well it does for me! Lol
I’ve lost count how many times I’ve read this series, if you haven’t read any of this authors work, I highly recommend doing so, be prepared to fall in love and be taken on a rollercoaster of a journey through the world of Guardian.

But the school is a scam and Harmony is in danger, the leader has learned of Harmony’s friendship with a local doctor and Reaper. That request went up the chain at Guardian, making issues more bizarre when Reaper saw sandwiched in a car with two between two men and looking terrified, his thoughts are only that he has to get her away from those men now. Then he learns that the men have been sanctioned kills due to other crimes. Now for a plan!

Wow, Ms. Michaels knows how to hook you in and keep you there. This story was no exception. Reaper's love story began when he and Harmony were teenagers back in PA. That was before his world fell apart and he fled his home in PA and left Harmony behind. Fast forward 10 years and their paths are about to cross in Paris. Ms. Michaels brings us to the seedy underbelly of society with a villain that could give the Devil a run for his money.
She introduces us to a new assassin, Valkyrie, and Pheonix and Harbinger are there as well. Her stories bring out a lot of emotions and I have to say that I can't wait to find out what Pheonix's story will be. She sets up the next stories well, so much so that the reader is left wanting more. What an amazing story in an equally amazing series.

I borrowed Reaper ~ Guardian Security Shadow World ~ Book 7, by Kris Michaels from the Kindle Unlimited Program.

He is sent on a mission to France and he sees her there and she looks terrified. Weapons dealer, art forgery, a couple of sanctioned murders of one very sadistic ring leader, a kidnapping and rescue make Reaper's story an exciting one with lots of romance between him and Harmony. I loved the help from his fellow shadows and Guardian teams. The happy ending is a plus too.

This is a great second chance story. Reaper would frequently go back home to secretly check on Harmony without her knowing. He had protected her when they were young but after he killed a man in self defense, she told him to leave before he ended up spending the rest of his life in prison. She always hoped he would come back for her. Ten years later they are reunited while he is on a mission that she is unwillingly involved in. Will Reaper and the others be able to keep her safe until the mission is over? What happens when she is kidnapped from her apartment? Will they find her before she is hurt? What does Reaper do when he finally sees her? Will she stay with him when it is all said and done?

Another Great Book!
Kris Michael I have been wanting to know more about Reaper since he appeared in smoke's book & I finally finished it & omg this book was also hard to put down it was full of action & left me wanting more. And can I just say OMG what a jaw dropping ending! I am excited & very nervous wondering what's about to happen next...
Overall I truly enjoyed seeing other characters from previous books as well as new Guardian Employees too. Reaper aka Roman Alexander & Harmony Flinn was destined for one another & she was the one that he left behind but after years apart their love for one another never died. Thank you Kris for continuing to bring to life more characters to this great series.

I normally don’t review books……
Because I just don’t know how to put my feelings into words. Reaper and Harmony are so amazing together. They both have been through so much in their life and to be apart for so long broke my heart. But, the love they had stood through time. This is another must read book. All of Kris Michael’s books are one click for me and they just keep getting better. I’m anxiously on pins and needles awaiting the Seige part one. You still have plenty of time to read the series and be prepared for the next must have book. Another outstanding job Kris!!!! Please keep them coming but only sooner……

Harmony and Reaper
Reaper and Harmony were High School sweethearts. Reaper had to leave town leaving Harmony behind. Every time he was in the states he would check on her. But he felt he wasn't good enough for her. Harmony didn't understand why he couldn't take her with him or why he never came back. She got a chance to go to Paris and study the masters. Not knowing the people she was in with would sell her paintings as the real thing. Reaper couldn't believe it when he saw her. He didn't know how but he was never letting her go again.
As always. Ms Michaels pulls you into the story making it hard to put the book down until it is finished. What a wonderful finish

Not knowing the people she was in with would sell her paintings as the real thing. Reaper couldn't believe it when he saw her. He didn't know how but he was never letting her go again.
As always. Ms Michaels pulls you into the story making it hard to put the book down until it is finished. What a wonderful finish

Kris has laid the groundwork and now she makes us wait a bit longer to find out the rest of Reaper and Harmony's story. But it is worth the wait. I know that Reaper was released today but I can hardly wait for Phoenix's story.

DECEPTION AND COERCION

Reaper is sizzling heart of romance, lots of fast paced action, a bit of intrigue, and sinister forces that need to be destroyed. An absolutely fantastic addition to Guardian Security Shadow World, and perfectly set up the next two books in the series. Could not put this one down. A must read. So very highly recommend!

Oh Wow!
Another great book to add to an already amazing series! Reaper is the seventh Guardian Security Shadow World book and already an instant favorite of mine.
Reaper gets a second chance with the one he left behind, and oh man, does he make the most of it.
This is a fast paced, action packed read that will keep you in suspense until the very end. And that ending will have you chomping at the bits for the next story. I cannot wait to read what next in the Guardian World!!

Reaper is Amazing
As usual, Kris Michaels knocked its out of the park with Reaper! Roman Alexander and Harmony Flinn knew each other from a very young age and fell in love. An incident caused Roman to leave town and he ended up in Guardian’s employ and became the shadow warrior Reaper. Ten years later he still checks on Harmony, but she is now, he finds out, in France at art school. Something seems off to Reaper, and if something seems off to a shadow warrior, it usually is off. It’s a total sit on the edge of your seat page turner. Absolutely loved it!!

Waited for ages and here it is. Kris never writes a bad story. All so individual but connected.
The ending...omg!
It's scary and perfect for the seige which is next on the list.
As usual the pace and clever suspense kept me listening and Matt haynes never disappoints ....
So sad I have to wait till kris completes her works....

The only other author that I can honestly say...in my opinion is, that compares beautifully with kris is Patricia d eddy...her "away from the keyboard series " is parallel in awesomeness 👌

Reaper
OMG! Another FANTASTIC story by Kris! This one is about Roman and Harmony. It was unfortunate that they were separated from each other for ten years but when they ran into each other in Paris things started to heat up between these two once again. There were some really bad people but the Guardians were to get them eliminated but not before Harmony was injured. Once the threat was neutralized, these two worked on their happily ever after. FANTASTIC job Kris! I would highly recommend this book! Can't wait for Phoenix!

This is a story over 10 years in the making. Roman ( Reaper) and Harmony have been friends and then lovers in their youth but tragedy separated them, Reaper is now beginning to wonder what life holds for him in the future whilst Harmony has been caught up in an art fraud . Unexpectedly Reaper realises Harmony is caught up in his mission against her will and she becomes a side issue for Guardian .
As usual Kris’ book is packed with action and emotion and leaves us right on a cliff edge!

Holy cliffhanger
Reaper has a love that he ignores for her safety, but now she is in trouble and he is all in to save her. They are a sweet couple with a lot of history and trouble that led them to go deprecate ways. Now their love is back and they are determined to make to work while also fixing a bad situation. The story has some great moments with the couple, the King siblings, the Shadows and of course it is action packed. It was great learning more bout two more Shadows. I can’t wait for their stories and…And that ending…yikes!

Holy moly intense, suspense, intrigue, forgery, kidnapping, murder, everything you want and need in a beautiful love story, and Kris Michaels gives it to you like a gut punch, Harmony and Roman AKA Reaper are each other's first for everything as teens, separated for ten years, and seeing each other again, nah it couldn't be, tangled up with the scum of the earth she's being held captive, what ever it takes, as long as it takes, Kris Michaels you rocked my world with this book, thank you, Dana Zamora

Teenage lovers forced apart when a younger Reaper kills the man responsible for his father’s death, resulting in him meeting Demos.
The Guardian plot in this story was complex and I couldn’t figure out how Harmony fitted in. When you realise, all the action crashes in like a tsunami. And as for that mysterious Operator …
Now I just have to wait for The Siege.

OMG what a book! I think for me, this is the grittiest book in the series yet. At points in the book my stomach was churning and I wanted to stop reading but I also wanted to find out what happened next. This book is exciting, gripping and a total eye opener re the seedier side of life. The ending is brilliant and I’m now counting down the days for the Seige and Phoenix’s book. Fabulous fabulous book!

OMG loved this book - love anything involving the Guardians but really enjoyed the unrequited lost love conception this one - theatre of Valkyrie and the extra bit from the Operator was superb - and don't forget how the baddies made me want to hiss at them - well more than hiss but let's keep this PG lol - only downside in all of this book is the cliffhanger - would ask is it January yet but we just know that Siege 1 will be a cliffhanger so will need to wait for Siege 2!!!!
