Xanthe shares diagnoses of bipolar disorder and PTSD with Heni/Larissa. She changed her name for similar reasons after it became a trauma trigger. Xanthe aims to give readers a taste of what bipolar mania with PTSD is like. Pet Purpose is the essence of her story pulled apart and put back together again.Xanthe is currently writing the sequel, Soar Purpose. Xanthe wrote Pet Purpose in hypomania episodes, then edited when grounded. A challenging project that took seven years from conception to publication. She painted in metaphor and symbolism in mania episodes to process and to use as visual mind maps to develop the storyline. Xanthe has short-term memory impairments from her disabilities, yet she has an extraordinary ability to recognise patterns. Making her own purpose has helped to keep her going. She advocates independently as Bipolar Courage on social media to inspire hope and to amplify the voices of the vulnerable.Your unspoken voice will be heard.
