Nataniel “Nate” Vargas is a billionaire…and he’s bored. When his company thinks about buying a flagging airline in Alaska, he decides to fly down there himself to check it out. Nate doesn’t expect to find a beautiful woman there. And he sure found a cure for his boredom.
Clare Lindgren loves flying as a bush pilot. Her grandparents started the airline, and she came to live with them after her parents’ death. Neither her nor her grandma, Laurie, realized the airline was in trouble. And of course, she had no idea who Nate, in truth, is…as he was just a bush pilot she hired. Or so she thought.
Great storyline and characters. And as usual…holding back the truth, even as omission, never ends well.

Picked this up shortly after finishing the first book in the series. The resolution made me feel uncomfortable. Putting Clare on the spot first with the newspaper ad and then with the video game and implying at all that her company was on the line really irked me. The ad wasn't phrased as an opportunity for her to listen to his deal, it was phrased as though the winner would own the company. And with the town so small, and the idea of rampant gossip and everyone being in each other's pocket underlined already, centering this attempt to win her over in the public eye felt...uncomfortable. I enjoyed everything up to the final resolution though... but I'm still not sure I'll pick up the third book.
