Ib believes his luck has changed for the better when he gets the chance to be an eccentric professor's assistant. However, when the professor's gearwork pterosaur comes to life and escapes into the skies, Ib wonders what else can go wrong.

Then Her Majesty's Royal Guard gives Ib and the professor two days to capture their renegade machine or end up in prison. When the professor is arrested, it is left to Ib to come up with an extraordinary plan to save them all!

Fun and exciting YA Steampunk fantasy. While geared toward "middle-grade" readers, others will like it, as well; adults will enjoy it as an entertaining romp, and the younger kids will get a kick out of it being read to them. It is neat to see the main character grow in confidence as the story progresses. This tale promises to be the first in a series, and I, for one, look forward to reading future installments about the adventures of Ib, Incredible Boy/laboratory assistant extraordinaire.
