This compilation of short stories and biographies is not by Louisa May Alcott. It was compiled and printed by The Good and the Beautiful.

I found this book to be one of the easiest I have ever read for a school assignment. Easy meaning the pace was quick and the stories were short and held my attention. I enjoyed learning about the authors and then reading their work, seeing how their lives and experiences were reflected in their stories.

I enjoyed this so much! It has stories from some of my favorite authors: LM Montgomery, Louisa May Alcott, Charles Dickens, and O. Henry. It also has stories from great authors I haven't read until now, like Leo Tolstoy. Short stories are a great way to get exposed to different voices, especially when I don't want to commit to a big fat book like War and Peace. Several of the stories had such interesting and unexpected endings that I thought about them for weeks later.

I especially loved the short biographies of each author. I learned much that I didn't know, especially about Louisa May Alcott.

I really enjoyed this collection. I quite appreciate and admire the medium of short stories. I’ve written one before and plan to write more in the future. All of these were very good, but if very different genres.

Such lovely stories. I enjoyed getting to explore the writing styles of 7 beloved authors as well as read a short bio for reach. L.M. Montgomery and Louisa May Alcott are my favorite of these authors, and I will definitely be reading more of their short stories and novels in the future.
