This was a really sweet and fun book. One thing I particularly loved about this book, when it came time for the conflict they didn't storm off and blow the whole thing out of proportion. They fought to work out the issue. It was a nice change from the pages and pages of angst over something that could be worked out with a few words. Don't get me wrong they both had reason to be hurting and mad, but it didn't force the beginnings of their relationship to be ruined.

If you like rich alpha bosses who are trying to lose their playboy image then Asher is your man. Emily is fiery and fierce and doesn't realise the mess she has stepped into when she kisses her new boss on the street randomly. These two will win you over while trying to navigate the idea of fake dating to help Asher save face.

Emily is pissed, her ex will not take the hint that cheating on her in her own home is not ok. She will not forgive him and get back together. During a fight outside her place of work, he says she'll never find someone else. To prove him wrong she says she already has and the next guy working towards her is going to help her prove it. She grabs him and kisses him like he's her only one, only problem is when she steps back and looks up she sees it's her new boss. Billionaire Asher Paris.

Asher walked right into that, and he didn't even do it on purpose. He's been working hard the last 6 months to keep his head down and trying to fix his reputation. Not just for him but also for his grandmother. He's sick of disappointing her and just wants to make her proud. She bought him this company and has put him in charge, and on his first day a scandal breaks out when pictures of him kissing an employee in front of the office building is splashed all over magazines.

Grandma is livid, Emily is embarrassed and Asher is trying to make it right, but if he's honest with himself he wants more of that kiss. Solution? Fake date each other until the drama dies down. Emily doesn't like the idea, she doesn't want to be fake and she doesn't want to date her new boss no matter how much that kiss was the best kiss she's ever had.

Grandma isn't having that though. She will push Emily at Asher, and now it's Emily's job to make sure Asher doesn't find out Grandma got involved. This is one train wreck waiting to happen. Will they figure out there is more than just attraction going on in their fake relationship, that it could be something real before it all comes crashing around them?

I love Asher and Emily! And Granny! This book was a much needed brain break. I laughed so many times and couldn't wait to see how Emily was going to handle everything that was thrown her way.
I'm seriously ready to read this book again just because it made me laugh so much.

This is such a cute and fun series. I highly recommend all of her books. This one is definitely a one-click (just like all of the others)

Just One Kiss

Asher Paris, the 32-yr-old handsome, jet-blue eyed, dark-haired grandson of designer Julie Louise Paris, has just assumed the position of CEO of the American branch located in St. Louis, Missouri of Paris Fashion House based in Paris, France. Under the umbrella of the Julie Louise Paris label, the acquisition of an American fashion brand known for its focus on ethical and sustainable fashion—clothes made with bamboo and hemp that are super soft, stylish and planet friendly—would bring a new market—customers favoring sustainability in all areas of their lives, including their clothing—into the Paris portfolio, adding a 21st century focus. It would also allow Asher Paris to clean up his playboy persona and refashion his image into that of serious, sharp and grounded CEO.

So, on the first day of the new CEO, Emily Wellson, 31-yr-old brown-eyed beauty sporting sassy dyed red hair, the manager of the American fashion house based in St Louis and recently acquired by a famous French label, arrived early at the company’s headquarters to prepare in her office for the all-important first day with the new CEO, Asher Price. But, what she did not expect and was not prepared for was a text from her sleazy, scum-ball, cheating ex-fiancé whom she had discovered 3-days earlier having sex on their kitchen table with some nameless bimbo—until Emily had swept in like an avenging fury and threw the cheater, Byron the bozo, and his nameless bimbo, out of her house. Byron wanted her to meet him outside for a few minutes to let him talk to her—to ask for another chance.

Now, faced with Byron, the burner of souls with surfer-boy looks, who was seeking a reconciliation—a restoration of his cushy life, mooching off of Emily while not addressing his secretive side love life—or for her to at least the return of the diamond engagement ring, clothes and his laptop, she knew he would not stop his pestering dinging of her phone until she met him. So, she stormed down to the front steps of the company headquarters to confront Byron, the illegitimate son of a baboon. And, because she wanted to give the cheating bum something to remember, Emily grabbed the handsome, well-dressed man who was also standing on the steps, and gifted him—and herself—with a passionate and physically exciting kiss on his lips—the best kiss of her whole life!

And, while the kiss Emily exchanged with the tall, dark, and handsome, well-dressed stranger on the steps of her company’s building helped Byron begin to understand the message that Emily rejected his apology and of his suggestion that she should forget what she saw—with her own eyes—taking place with some strange woman on their kitchen table. But, Byron is not the only recipient of the message sent by the Emily’s passionate kiss. The handsome stranger was the happy recipient of Emily’s cleverly passionate lips—and he heard a message of love, acceptance and hopefully, beginning—a very different from message heard by Byron of bad choices, rejection, and endings.

But Byron, Emily and tall, dark, and handsome, well-dressed stranger are not the only people gathered outside of the new St Louis branch of the Julie Louise Paris Fashion House. Gathered around the building was a large group of reporters, paparazzi and Granny Paris’ spies, all eager to capture the arrival of the new CEO, the playboy grandson, Asher Paris. What Emily did not know was that Mr. Tall, Dark, and Handsome—the well-dressed stranger and passionately amazing kisser—is her new boss!

Lindsay Hart once more explores and crushes some of society’s misconceptions of how a women and men should act, look, love and respond to each other. Hart lets the readers fully appreciate the challenges faced by both men and women seeking honesty and truthfulness in relationships, and desiring to be true to themselves. She offers the perfect comeback to the false patterns which society, and one’s on expectations, impose on the individual.

Lindsey Hart has written a 5-star book. This is the story of Emily and Asher. Emily has broken up with her fiance Bryon since she caught him cheating on her in their house. She tells him he has got one day to come and get his stuff and kicks him out. Now it has been a few days and he is at her work calling and texting her about how he is sorry and wants her back. She gets tired of it and goes outside to tell him to leave. He starts on how he was sorry and he would never do it again. She tells him that it is over and for him to leave. He tells her that he wants his laptop back and she tells him to go talk to the homeless man she gave it to. He also tells her that he wants his ring back and she tells him to start looking at the pawn shops in town since she is sure that is where it ended up since she gave it to someone who looked like she needed it more than her. Bryon tells her that this is the last time to get him back. She tells him that he has done her a favor and things between them are over and he has to leave or she will go and get security. Bryon tells her that a nerd like her will never get anyone. Instead of saying anything to him she turns and grabs the man she bumps into and kissed him. Unknown to Emily the press was around and got this on camera. After the kiss was over, she looks up and realized that she just kissed Asher Paris, her new boss, and playboy. She turns and runs calling work and tells them she would not be back that day. Emily is shocked to see Julie Louise Paris standing on her front steps on a Sunday at 9:00 A.M. Julie Louise Paris is there to talk her into being her grandson Asher's fake girlfriend. When Emily tells her no, Julie blackmails her by telling her if she doesn't she will lose her job. Julie tells her that she will pay her twenty thousand dollars if she does it for a few months. Emily needs her job so she agrees. They discuss things and set up some rules for this fake relationship they are going to have. Asher tells her that he will give her twenty thousand dollars to help him out. She tells Asher that she is going to tell her family and close friends so they are not shocked. The more time they spend together the closer they get and their feelings change for each other. Asher spends the night with Emily and when she wakes up he is not there but Julie is and she is not happy with Emily. Asher had gone out and got coffee for them and when he gets back Emily acts differently towards him. It like at the start of their relationship. He is not happy with what had happened while he was out. He tells her that his grandmother called and wanted to have dinner so that she could meet Emily and he would pick her up that night at seven p.m. Things did not go the way that Emily thought they would. Before Julie leaves, she gives Emily an envelope. Emily knows what it is but when Asher asks she tells him nothing. Emily leaves Asher at the restaurant and goes out the back so she doesn't have to deal with the press. Asher is not happy so he goes to see Emily and talks to her about what happened the night before. They end up sleeping together again. Asher wants to know what his grandmother had given Emily and when he wakes up he goes to look for it. When it finds it, he sees that it is a check for twenty thousand dollars and he gets mad. Emily comes downstairs and he asks her about it. She tells him what his grandmother told her both times she came to see her.
Can Emily and Asher work things out between them, or will they go different ways?
This was a wonderful book and I would recommend it to anyone.

Asher Paris is a notorious player who has is pictures splash all over the different gossip tags. He has paparazzi following him every where he goes to get the next juicy or scandalous pictures. Julie Louise Paris is tired of all her grand son's behavior he has been giving her trouble since he was child and she thinks it's about time that he grow and stop tarnishing the family name. She bought him an ethical clothing line company to run as a way to rebuild his image. However, as soon as he made it to the company his pictures were splashed all over several different gossip rags and that did not sit too well with granny. She called Asher and gave him a good chewing out. He told her that he didn't kissed the woman it was the other way around and that he was innocent this time.
Thirty one year old is Emily is manager for the new ethical and sustainable clothing line that Asher was recently promoted to as the CEO. She had recently broke off her three years relationship to fiancee after came home and found him cheating on her dining room table. Her fiancee constantly calls and texts. He even shows up to her job begging for another chance. She went outside to confront him and he was being hateful and mean out of sheer desperation she grabs the first man and kissed him to prove to her ex that she had move on. Emily did not know at the time that the person the kissed was in fact her new boss and that her face will be splashed all over the internet and magazines. Asher and his granny had a plan that would solve his problems one where the tabloids would be tired of him.
Granny went to Emily's house and asked her to be Asher's fake girlfriend but when Emily refused. She offered to pay her twenty thousand dollars. However, when she still refuses granny threatened her to fire her after all it was her fault why Asher is in this predicament. Emily agrees with the assurance that her job is safe plus the twenty thousand dollars as well as to their deal a secret from Asher granny wanted him to believe he did on his own. Asher came to Emily house and proposition her to be his fake to keep vultures off his back and make it seems as if he was in a committed relationship. She gave him hell at first but then she made him promise her that he won't fire her if things doesn't work out because she was already the center of office gossips. She all wanted twenty thousand dollars for her troubles plus the ability of telling her family and friends and relationship is fake. As time goes by and these two characters gets to know each other they finds themselves developing feelings for each other. It slowly went from fake to real. Will Emily polish Asher's image? Will asher destroy that granny and Emily have been working all long? If so how will he react knowing that she's taking money from both of them? The story was well written, easy to read, and a standalone. But I must say this one was not one of my favorite in the Alphalicious Billionaire series.

It started with the kissdicament
This book is about Emily and Asher. Emily had been cheated on. Her ex-fiance Byron had decided to ‘tup’ someone on their kitchen table and they got caught. She works for a company whose focus is ethical and sustainable fashion, and she’s worked her way up into management over the five years she’s been there. But they’ve just been bought out by Julie Louise Paris, a huge name in the fashion industry. She bought it for her son, and he will be the new CEO. With the womanising, partying, scandal-causing reputation he has, Emily thinks it might as well stand for Clueless Executive Officer. And Emily is understandably freaking out that he will ruin their company and she will lose her job!
Byron has been texting her relentlessly, begging her for forgiveness and another chance… yeah, right… like that’s going to happen! In a panic and out of pure frustration with his pathetic ramblings, she kisses a gorgeous stranger on the street, to prove a point – that she’s moved on. When he kisses her back passionately, she is adamant that it’s the best kiss she’s ever had in her life! Pity it turns out to be her new boss Asher Paris!
What ensues is lots of drama (both good and bad), a hilarious, feisty and spunky but interfering Granny (who is quite possibly my favourite character in this story), lots of funny banter, farts, twenty thousand dollar offers, secrets, confessions, plenty of desserts, even more heart-stopping kisses, steamy encounters, growing feelings of love, short-term hate, passion, and of course, Paris! I laughed out loud so many times throughout the read, which was obviously hard to put down… I was only disappointed that their story ended so soon, because they all really pulled me into it. I was so invested on what was to come for them all. I just wish I knew what happens next for them. I give this book four and three quarter ethical stars.

I received a copy from BookSprout; this is my honest review.
-I'm so afraid of the outcome when someone pushes you to keep a secret that shouldn't be kept a secret - it never ends well - but there are exceptions to this.
-I loved how Emily took care of her ex's stuff, especially the pieces she gave to the homeless people.
-When the author first described Asher, my thought was about a certain prince we see in the news quite often. I quickly realized Asher was so much more than that.
-The whole scene when Emily is arguing with her ex on the sidewalk and then when she turns around and takes in what Asher feels like when she kisses is to die for. Well done.
-Then when Asher gets a phone call from his granny about that same kiss I almost died again of laughter, when Asher tries to justify it wasn't his fault this time.
-The author uses over-the-top descriptions of everything and it's funny. Like Emily thinks Granny uses TP "spun from unicorn tears and elf's hair".
-A most confusing moment is when they are in the shower and Asher pulls up Emily against the glass door. Trust me, that door will go off track and you'll both end-up on the BR floor (don't ask why I know this).
-A positively good romance, with many LOL moments, tender scenes and 1% drama (while everyone was trying to sleep).
-Editing: There were a bit of problems with people's height and age and time of day. Asher's mother cannot be in her 40's if he's 35. Granny could be 65 but I doubt it. Also Asher says granny is barely above 5' but Emily believes she's "tall, statuesque, and lovely". Asher wants to find Emily who kissed him "earlier today" - it's 6 am.

Emily has recently dumped her boyfriend after finding him cheating on her, however, he won't leave her alone and keeps asking to get back together.
Tired of him contacting her and sitting outside her offices she confronts him to tell him exactly where to go. In order to prove to him how much she has moved on she grabs the first man that happens to be walking past them and kisses him.
It's only after the kiss that Emily realises the man she has kissed is her new boss, Asher Paris.
Asher has recently been given a new role as the CEO of a sustainable clothing company by his grandmother. He is shocked by Emily's kiss and after a photo of the kiss ends up in a gossip magazine, his grandmother gets involved. Tired of his playboy ways, his grandmother suggests he convince Emily to act as his fake girlfriend so that the tabloids think he is settling down.
Little does Asher know but his grandmother also contacts Emily and blackmails her into agreeing to the proposition, but tells Emily that Asher cannot know.
Emily is happy to go along with both of them so long as she can keep her job, but makes it clear to Asher that it will be pretend.
However, they both feel attracted to one another and eventually one thing leads to another.
Emily feels guilty that she is technically acting as a double agent and wants tell Asher. What will Asher think when he finds out, will he be able to forgive Emily and see where their relationship could lead or will they both end up broken-hearted?

Sweet story
Asher & Emily's may not have started off as a typical love story but there was chemistry between them the instant they met. Emily was outside her work trying to get it into her cheating ex Fiance's head that it was over between them when she grabbed the person next to her & kissed him which was amazing but she realised it was her boss Asher she quickly walked off. Him being a rich playboy the paparazzi were there & the next day a photo of them was on magazines & papers which annoyed his rich famous Granny who was not happy about him photod with another woman again. When his Granny unexceptedly turned up at Emily's house she was not happy & blackmailed Emily into a fake relationship with Asher but he wasn't to be told as his Granny had told him to get Emily to be his fake girlfriend not telling him about her arrangement with Emily. However even though she had been pressured into this she could see he wasn't the person the media had made him out to be & her feelings for him were no longer fake but just as both of them were getting together him feeling the same his Granny turned up which prompted a huge argument when Asher found out what had been going on between Emily & Granny leaving any chance of something real for them happening. I couldn't put this book down desperate for him to not let his Granny ruin anything & give Emily a chance as they were so perfect for each other. This is a really lovely book that will leave you with a smile on your face.

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.

In this book we meet Emily Wellson and Asher Paris. Emily wasn't all that happy in her relationship but when she caught him cheating on her on the table in her home she was done. She told him he could come get his stuff or she was burning it. When he doesn't seem to be letting her go she finally confronts him one last time telling him to stay away or she was going to put a restraining order on him. He doesn't really believe she will do this so she proves it by upping the anty and kissing another man just walking on the street. The only problem with this is the man is her new boss. Asher can't believe what just happened while going into the new business his grandmother bought for him (ya he knows it wrong too) some woman just grabs him and kisses him. This wouldn't be a problem but Asher has a problem and it is photographers follow him everywhere and capture anything news worth to them that his happening in his life. So that kiss ya they caught it and grandma ya she's not happy. So Grandma comes up with a solution make her his fake girlfriend for a couple of months and it will all blow over. What happens though when it becomes more than fake? Will they find a HEA or will this just be like a photo a moment in time?

Amazing story. This couple will definitely draw you in. You will be rooting for them one minute and wanting to slap someone then next. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Emily isn't having a good time of it lately. She just caught her now ex fiancé cheating on her at their apartment and when he comes to her work begging for another chance she acts impulsively. This time she grabs a stranger and kisses him and he returns her kiss. Embarrassed she leaves work. Asher is surprised when his grandmother starts yelling at him over another scandal his name is in. It isn't until she explains it that he remembers the woman that grabbed him for a kiss. Emily is shocked to see her boss on her doorstep and worries that she's fired. That is until she hears what the older woman asks her to do. She wants her to be her grandsons fake girlfriend and is willing to pay her to do it. However she doesn't want her mentioning their talk to her grandson. Sparks fly between Emily and Asher when he shows up at her place just as she has started burning things that her ex left and the dreaded kitchen table. Once they start spending time together its hard to remember that its not real. What will happen when Asher learns about what Emily and his grandmother talked about? Can they work through things?

This is a great story that will draw you in from the first chapter and leave you wanting more with the last one. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Mr Charming-not is another extremely entertaining fun book from this author. Emily finds her fiancé having sex with another woman on her kitchen table so immediately kicks him out, on top of that the company where she is a manager has been taken over and a new CEO is starting and she’s worried if she’ll keep her job.
Her ex turns up at her offices wanting her to take him back, she obviously says no and he starts insulting her that she’ll never be able to find a man, she tells him she already has, and as a handsome man walks past, she grabs this man she proceeds to kiss the life out of him and his response ignites a fire in them both, she then discovers he’s the new CEO, Asher Paris.
Asher is in trouble with his gran that owns the company, with his reputation as a playboy, always in the papers with his womanising ways. His gran hires Emily to pretend to be his fake girlfriend to improve press relations, blackmailing her she can keep her job.
So this fake romance commences, there are some really funny moments and both Emily and Asher are great characters, a cracking romance with some hot and heavy moments, no great angst just a wonderful read.
Not quite sure of the title for me Asher was Mr Charming and nothing else!
My grateful thanks to this funny page turning author, Lindsey Hart for the ARC to review honestly.

This was my first book in the Alphalicious Billionaire's Boss series, but it won’t be my last. I'm a sucker for a good office romance and this one does not disappoint, such an enjoyable read.

Emily having not too long ago found her boyfriend with someone else, is at work when said ex shows up. She goes to speak to him and ends up kissing a stranger on the street to prove a point. The only problem being that it’s not actually a stranger but her new boss, Asher, and afterward their photo is splashed all over the tabloids as if Emily were the next plaything. To try to tone down his reputation, Asher asks Emily to be his fake girlfriend. Another trope I enjoy, fake relationships that become real. It’s very obvious that there’s attraction there, but is there more?

Asher's grandmother, Julie, although a minor character in the book, is great. Very entertaining.

I like Emily. She stands up to Julie even though she’s somewhat famous, and always tries to act with integrity.

Asher is such a sweetie. He really loves his grandmother and is very sweet to Emily.

The only criticism I have is that the ending was possibly tied up a little too neatly and easily. I would still recommend the book and will be reading the rest of the series.

Emily, 31, works for a company that makes ethical and sustainable fashion and the cheating fiancé that she recently broke up with shows up outside her office and she kisses a nearby stranger to convince her ex that she has moved on. It turns out that the stranger is her new boss, Asher, whose granny bought him the company to run to improve his playboy image. When a picture of them kissing is published his granny tells him he should pretend a fake relationship with Emily to avoid scandal. His granny visits Emily and threatens to fire her unless she takes money to pretend a relationship with Asher but she can’t tell him that his granny is paying her or she will be fired. Later Asher visits her and after a backyard fire he blackmails her to agree to accept money and pretend to be his girlfriend. Will the fake relationship help Asher avoid scandal? Will spending time together cause Emily and Asher to grow closer or will the lies come back to harm them?

I enjoyed this fun story with Asher and Emily being forced into a pretend relationship. Asher does it to avoid scandal and Emily wants to keep her job. There were plenty of funny moments involving table, ax, and a fire as well as taco gas and a meddling designer granny. The epilogue was a great ending for their story.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND

It's not bad enough that the company she works for was bought out and the new owner's grandson will be their new CEO, but as she is trying to get ready for a meeting where he will meet all the employees her ex-fiance was outside her building texting how sorry he was and wanted to get her back. Emily was so over it.

Emily rushes outside the building to get rid of ex-a$$hole and when he tells her that if she doesn't take him back no one will have her she tells him she's already moved on and impulsively grabs a man and kisses him. Only to realize what a bad mistake it was when he releases her from THE BEST KISS EVER that she grabbed her new boss!

Asher is awakened before six in the morning by his livid grandmother. The kiss was on the front page of four newspapers and several rag magazines. She told him no more scandals, but this wasn't his fault and how was he to know he would be accosted and there would be photographers. But, he has a plan on how to get rid of the paparazzi.

This book was hilarious. You only really get to know Asher, Emily and Granny, but they are wonderful characters! And what a character Granny is!

I highly recommend this book and if you haven't already read the series you need to. Love anything by Lindsey Hart!!!

I really loved this book! The story of Asher and Emily is charming and funny and an absolute pleasure to read. They meet when she kisses him on the street to get back at her cheating ex. Little does she know at the time that he is her new boss. Asher has been labeled as a bit of a player and his grandmother wants that to change. His grandmother, Julie, goes to Emily with a proposition - pretend to be his girlfriend to get the press off his back. It involves a bit of blackmail but Emily finally agrees. But Asher isn't supposed to know his granny is involved. Things start off slow but soon feelings are developing on both sides and the rules they set go out the window. There will be a bump in the road when Julie shows up to have a word with Emily. Dinner with the three of them that night will change everything and change it again later that night when Asher finds the check his grandmother slipped Emily. He will agree to talking it out with Emilly and his grandmother and it's then that he realizes his grandmother was trying to make him see what real relationships are like. And he and Emily agree to start over, to give it a real try and it will lead to a happily ever after.

I was looking for something light, entertaining, romantic, and just plain fun... I knew I could count on Lindsey Hart for that! She has a gift for writing such descriptive scenes that make you want to laugh out loud. (I will never look at a taco the same way again!) And I love the way she uses one funny scene to describe others throughout the story - "...she's more like a bad trip to the bathroom after one too many tacos"! This past year of face masks, social distancing, and keeping to one's home has had it's challenges. On more than one occasion, I have wanted to forget about all the ugliness in the world and just escape to a world of funny characters, diatribes that make me laugh out loud, and situations that are too real to not be funny. Lindsey Hart is a master at all of these.
I have read many of Hart's books and I have to say that Mr. Charming (Not) is one of my favorites. I like the way Hart has taken the idea of the "fake relationship" but tweeked it to make it her own. Emily and Asher are great together and the grandmother's involvement lead to some really funny situations. If you are new to Hart, I would definitely recommend this book. It you are familiar with her writing, grab this one - it is worth it!

Emily Wellson has had it with her cheating ex and, to prove it, she grabs the first man she sees and plants a kiss on him, hoping to show that he's the man who's helping her to move on. What she doesn't realize is that she just kissed her new boss! Asher Paris doesn't know what hit him, but he does know that it's not going to help his image as a "playboy," the one he's trying to shed in order to be viewed as a viable company CEO. Asher's grandma is at her wit's end, not knowing how to straighten him out and, after she sees his kiss with Emily, plastered all over the newspaper, finally thinks she has a plan. She offers Emily money to pose as his fake girlfriend, but she refuses. Granny isn't giving up and she "promises not to have her fired" if she goes along with the ruse. Asher knows he has to listen to his grandmother and comes up with his own plan that pretty much echoes his grandmother's. Emily agrees, but she has to keep him in the dark over the fact that she's working with his grandma. It's rather sweet how they come to the realization that their relationship is anything but fake, and it's refreshing to see how Asher is not the playboy he's been portrayed as. The story is good and the characters are delightful and real.

This is a great addition to the Alphalicious Billionaires Bosshole Series and can be read as a standalone. You'll love Asher and Emily's story. It's fun, it's snarky and their chemistry is explosive. Their back and forth banter is hilarious at times. After Emily's cheating ex says she will never get another boyfriend she tells him she already has. She then proceeds to grab the first man who walked by and planted a big kiss on him. Needless to say she was shocked to find out that was her new CEO boss. The book is entertaining and a fun reads. Emily finds herself blackmailed by the CEO's grandmother who actually owns the company. She promises Emily twenty thousand dollars to be Asher's fake girlfriend to help improve his playboy reputation. No shortage of drama or complications to keep you guessing. Does fake become real? What happens when Asher finds out that his grandmother also paid Emily? The book has an HEA and no cliffhanger. Actually Asher's pretty charming most of the time. This is the story of Emily and Asher.

Emily has broken up with her fiancé Bryon since she caught him cheating on her in their house. Now it has been a few days and he is at her work calling and texting her about how he is sorry and wants her back. She gets tired of it and goes outside to tell him to leave. He starts on how he was sorry and he would never do it again. But then he says she would never get anyone else, so she turns around and grabs the first male close to her and kisses him, once the kiss was over she looks up and realises that the man she had just kissed was her new Boss and playboy the hot Asher Paris, she was devastated that she would lose her job so ran.

Next thing she knew was the picture of them kissing was all over the press, and then Julie Louise Paris turned up at her house and blackmailed her into being his fake girlfriend for a few months to get the press off his back but not to tell him as he will ask her the same, and if she refused she would fire her.

This is a fun romantic read, I loved the pink haired granny, the story was gripping from the start till the end.

This book was disappointing from this author. It felt completely disjointed as if it had been thrown together without much regard or editing. I've always enjoyed the lighter, easy reads from this author. Unfortunately, this was not one of those books. It was not the worst thing I've ever read, but she's got better stories. Sometimes, it was hard to follow because it lacked clear transitions. Additionally, there wasn't any real character development to give the reader a sense of their motivations or intentions.
Honestly, I didn't feel that Asher came across as any sort of playboy or a true alpha. I think he could have been so much more, but the author failed to deliver on that front.
Also, I'm really bothered by the fact Emily was getting paid by grandmother first AND asked Asher for money. That action, alone, negated any sort of sympathy I felt for her in the beginning. If it wasn't about the money, why in the world did she double-dip?! Things like that really turned me off from the book as a whole. I pressed on and finished, but I certainly would NOT recommend this to anyone.

Not the best book

It stared well...., and then it went side ways.
The silly non-swearing language gets totally ridiculous after a while and the whole story just started to struggle after that.
Don't get me wrong, the story has potential but it got lost somewhere when the writer continued to force the issue of writing like we were in some parallel universe as if transported to late 1800's/early 1900 values and non swearing etc.
You just can't write a modern book and expect to do that and not ruin the storyline.
The writer needs to commit to a time period and rewrite this book in my opinion and the sex scene was very unbelievable. The language, the descriptive...., I could got on about flow and all that stuff but I think I've said enough.
I got to 70%.... and that was hard work.
I can't recommend this book which is rare for me. I'm never super critical and I don't like to be so but this book has some massive issues that need sorting.
I've given it 3 stars because the bones are there, it's just the writer needs to fix it.

I loved this book and I love Lindsey’s writing. Her characters are so wonderful that you can’t help but love them. Her writing always includes some humor too. Situations that make you laugh or wording that makes you smile. In this book I like “smile and shrug” “sprinkles” and many more. She also really turns up the heat in her books. The steam in this story was scorching and I especially loved the first steamy scene and the things that Asher says. Read it so you can love it too!

After Emily kisses Asher at random in the street, he offers to pay her to be his fake girlfriend. He’s hoping to fix his reputation of being a player. I’m usually wary of the players but Lindsey does such a great job developing Asher that he doesn’t come across as one. Their fake relationship has some very real feelings and when his crazy granny comes into the pictures things are thrown into chaos. I truly love this story and couldn’t recommend this book more! I would give it 10 stars if I could!!

Emily works as a manager for a very famous clothing company. Emily was having one heck of a day. Emily's ex Byron was bugging her at work with text messages and phone calls. Emily had had enough and went out to tell him to leave her alone when he wanted to say some nasty things about her. So on a whim she turned and grabbed and started kissing a stranger. When she did finally look who she kissed and to apologize she couldn't believe her eyes it was no other than Asher Paris her new boss. Asher never in his life shared a kiss like he did with Emily. Asher's grandmother isn't happy with him. Asher knows that he has had a bad reputation in the past but Emily makes him feel different. He doesn't want to have a fake relationship with her anymore. I enjoyed reading this book. I loved the storyline and plot. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and I am voluntarily leaving a review.

Mr. Charming (Not) is undoubtedly the funniest romance Lindsey Hart has ever written. This fake romantic comedy features the story of Asher Paris, a player and CEO of a newly acquired sustainable fashion company as an addition to the fashion empire of his Granny, and Emily Wellson, a manager in her soon to be purchased fashion company who kisses a complete stranger on the street when verbally sparing with her ex-boyfriend who cheated on her with another woman using her kitchen dining table. Unfortunately, the stranger turns out to be her new boss and the kiss is captured by the tabloids. Asher proposes a fake relationship as he has been trying to clean up his professional business reputation for the past six months. This entertaining book has fantastic characters, humorous self talk, hilarious situations, and a wonderful romantic story. I highly recommend this excellent book!

Emily is getting things ready to meet the new CEO when her EX shows up. She goes outside and is talking to him making sure he understands its over. Since hes not fully getting it she kisses a man on the street letting her ex know its over. Little does she know till she breaks the kiss its her new boss the new CEO. Asher is a playboy who his grandmother has sent to run a location she just purchased. Outside of the store hes gets his lips locked with a woman he learns is his employee. When his grandmother calls asking questions she comes up with the plan to get Emily to be his ex girlfriend. Little does he know his grandmother loves the plan and sets off to ask and pay Emily to do it before he gets the chance to ask. This is where the fun begins. This story will having you laughing through the book with a happy ending.

Grandma Paris is awesome! Of course this is not about grandma Paris but she played a big role in this book. This is about Emily and Asher. Asher is your typical playboy billionaire and Emily works in the company that grandma just purchased for him to run. On his very first day he gets pulled by Emily where she gives him a big kiss in front of her ex fiancé. Because Asher is a playboy photographers are always around. Needless to say pictures were plastered everywhere and his Granny was not happy. She needed him to clean up his act and thought that he should get this woman to play along as a fake girlfriend and the media would back off from him.

The story is hilarious because granny has a lot to do with this relationship without Asher knowing about it. Of course the ending is great especially when she orders one of each dessert when she is supposedly meeting granny for the first time.

Emily's ex cheated on her. Then he turns up at her workplace making a scene and begging her to give him another chance. When Emily makes it totally clear that she is not taking him back under any circumstance, he gets really mad and tells her that she won't find anyone else.
So Emily turns round and locks lips with the nearest person to her, the only trouble is he is her new boss.
Devilishly handsome but with a bad reputation Asher can't believe that a total stranger just kissed him but when his grandmother who owns the business that he is about to take over running gives him an ultimatum he knows he has to track the mystery kisser down. But life does not run smoothly and Emily and Asher are going to find that out.
I love these books they are really good stories, they flow well and leave you hoping against all hope that the main characters will get a happy ending.

Let me just say that I like Lindsay Hart’s book and this one doesn’t disappoint. Emily has recently broken up with her boy friend after she catches him cheating. When he shows up at work to win her back she latches onto the nearest man and gives him a juicy kiss to dissuade her former lover. She didn’t count on the man she surprised with a kiss, to be Asher, a handsome billionaire and her new boss. The sensual kiss winds up in newsrags and deepens his irresponsible, man whore reputation. Emily gets blackmailed by an unexpected, but adorable blackmailer to help Asher out of this situation. When fake starts feeling like real, Emily experiences a setback and Asher feels used. Expect the expected for all roads to lead to a HEA as this book entertains, delights and excites. I gave this book 4.5 Stars because the fake relationship trope is starting to get a little overused.
