This boxset has some stories written by some fantastic authors and I cannot wait to read them all but my review is for Guardian Dragon by Ashlee Sinn.
Well written this novella grabs you from the start with its exciting and intense storyline. Radomir is a Dragon Shifter whose guardian dragon lies dormant until he meets Voadicia our future leader against the vikings. The world building is intriguing , the story fast paced and the chemistry is off the charts. It’s a captivating adventure full of action, battles and romance.

Alistair is a shifter who rescues other shifters who are taken as slaves into a life of cruelty. The goal is to smuggle the shifters off the island to safety. In trying to find another route to move the slaves to the pick-up destination, he is hoping to travel over a plantation next to his own where the owner has died. This review is for Guardian Dragon by Ashlee Sinn. This short novella packs a punch from start to finish. It was intense and compelling. The dragon started out as a conquerer and ended up being a savior and guardian. I'm anxious to find out what powers the heroine has. Look forward to more.

I read the guardian dragon and enjoyed the combination of characters. Took me back to a more primitive setting.

The Guardian Dragon is the only novella I read in this collection and my review only reflects this story. New to me author Ms. Sinn brings to life an intriguing world where there is a lone dragon shifter hiding amongst the Vikings. Vikings do as they are wont to do... rape, pilage, and conquer new lands. This prequel tale hints of unrest between the English, the Celts, and the Vikings.

This anthology did hold an interesting take on shifters from wolves, bears, geese, and tigers (although I’m questioning everything about the tiger one because none of it made sense literally none of it 😩).
Also, I love how somehow vampires are always able to reproduce whether male or female and I for the life of me cannot figure out how.
This is why I’m struggling with figuring out how to review any of this because the stories were good or at least more than half were, but I cannot figure out how any of it worked.
I loved Margo Bonds Collins (sorry if I spell it wrong I’m terrible with names) time travel story because Tiffany was just as confused as time traveling, which is refreshing (it also makes you realize how much things have evolved from the past). I liked the geese shifter one, but felt it got resolved too soon.
Maybe that’s my problem. I loved the stories, but they felt so unfinished especially the tiger one because the author couldn’t even decide between Ariana or Adriana (it switched too many times for me to be like “I am going to call you A because that’s the only consistent thing going on”. Also what was going on with the dialogue in that story? It felt so fake and I wasn’t sure if it was supposed to be a satire or if the author was trying to be serious).
Anyways, I could spend a long time going over the issues I have with that story and the first one that I wound up skipping. Other than that this anthology is one of the better ones I’ve read and highly recommend for all those paranormal, historical, shifter lovers out there.

Hello! My story in Shifting Hearts is called The Guardian Dragon and is part of my Ashlee Sinn world of Shifters.

A Viking with a dangerous secret.
A leader whose innocence may get her killed.
A day when their destinies cross and their future is changed forever.

Radomir has faced many battles throughout his years traveling with the Vikings. But he has yet to win the war with the dragon inside. Dormant for decades, his beast has stayed hidden and docile. That is, until a beautiful warrior saves his life and wakes the broken heart of his guardian dragon.

Voadicia is the daughter of the clan Chief who will one day succeed her father. And that day is coming soon. When a fight against the Viking invaders succeeds, Voadicia is asked to prepare the prisoners for their execution. But the handsome and mysterious man who is healing before her eyes seems to hold the key to her leadership…and to her heart.

The Guardian Dragon is a prequel novella to the Ashlee Sinn world of shifters…about one thousand years or so before the events begin in The Vampire Huntress.

Earl Gone Wild by Margo Bond Collins

Alistair Holdsworth, the 6th Earl of Wilton, is trying to find a way to smuggle shifters and their families off the island of Antigua. It’s 1806 and the humans have discovered there are werewolf’s on the island and are trying to round them up to be hung. Alistar isn’t going to let that happen if he can help it, especially since he is a werewolf, but it seems he will have to smuggle them out through the neighboring plantation. Not an easy task since the overseer is one of the people on the hunt for the wolfs. The owner’s widow, Baroness Tisdale is due to arrive any day to take over running the plantation. As soon as he sees her, his wolf demands he claim her as his mate. Alistair doesn’t want to do that, but can he figure out any other way for her to help him. Short, but good.. This review is for Earl Gone Wild by Margo Bond Collins and Clarissa Hunter.

I liked the story about an Earl who lives on the island of Antigua and who is a shifter. He is one of a group that works to smuggle shifters off the island. Apparently, they are used as slaves and mistreated. He is trying to set up an alternate route to move the shifters to the coast for extraction. Part of the trip will be over land on the adjoining plantation where the owner has died and his wife has not yet arrived to take possession. Unfortunately, the Earl almost gets caught by the overseer as he is returning to his adjoining property. Will this put his new route in jeopardy? And what will happen when the Earl and another shifter overhear a plot to kidnap the new mistress of the neighboring land?

A shift in Expectations /Kessily Lewel
I had read many shifters stories but I have to admit I never thought that geese shifters could be sexy. This story proves that they can be!
The 3 Brood brothers are geese shifters looking for a bride. They put on an ad looking for a mail ordered bride but they weren't expecting someone as beautiful as Amelia.
Amelia came to the west knowing that back home there is no chance for her to get married due to the gossip about her family. Even though James, the oldest brother is very short tempered and often cross with her, there is something growing between them, but both of them are keeping secrets that can damage their budding relationship. This is a lovely, fun story that is very well written and I enjoyed it.

Shifting Hearts is an interesting collection of shifters-find-love stories by a group of talented authors.

Earl Gone Wild
In the early 1800’s, the shifter population of Antigua is in peril. Lord Alistair Wilton in working with a ship’s captain to smuggle shifters and they families off the island. Alistair is, unbeknownst to the island gentry, is a wolf shifter. When Eliza Sweeting, Baroness Tisdale, arrives on the island to claim her deceased husband’s property, she is threatened by one of his creditors. Alistair comes to her rescue, and immediately his wolf recognizes her as his mate. When she sees his wolf, she is impressed. A connection is made, and the story ends. I would love to know what happens next. I liked the story and Alistair. Maybe we will see him and Eliza again.

I'm personally writing a review on "Earl Gone Wild" by Margo Bond Collins and Clarissa Hunter that's included among the stories written in this box set. This short historical shifter romance story is about Lord Alistair Wilton, a wolf shifter who is smuggling other shifters and their families out of Antigua. Playing as a cad to hide his caring nature. Then Baroness Eliza Tisdale a new widow arrives to claim the last of her departed husband's assets a neighboring plantation. When Alistair meets Eliza his wolf awakens claiming her she's his mate. Can Alistair convince Eliza to consider him as a mate? This was a enjoyable story with likable characters in this shifter story that I volunteer to read and review via Booksprout.

I read and am reviewing Courting the Wolf by Elizabeth Dunlap. I LOVED the time period for this paranormal short story. Ella and Nate have dueling natures, one a vampire and one a werewolf. But they don’t let their natures control them, and end up falling for each other. Being a short story, it is very fast paced and I usually prefer longer stories that have some build up in the relationship. That helps me really connect with the story and characters. That’s the ONLY reason I took away a star, but it’s still a really good read, especially if you’re looking for something to finish in an evening. Just wish it had been longer!

Courting The Wolf by Elizabeth Dunlap

Even though this was a short story it felt like a full length novel. It had everything jammed packed into a sweet enemies to lovers paranormal story. Ella is the FMC, she is a true lady in every sense of the word and also a vampire. Nate is a gentleman who happens to be a very old and powerful werewolf. Both of these species are groomed to both hate and mistrust each other so what will happen when they visit mutual friends and can’t get away from each other. They both learn things about the others species and about themselves that they never expected. Their story unfolds seamlessly and I loved their connection.

Review for Earl Gone Wild. An enjoyable historic shifter short story but I want more! 1806, Lord Alistair Wilton, a wolf shifter, is working smuggle other shifters and their families out of Antigua. He pretends to be nothing more than a rake and wastrel, all the while concealing his true self. Recently widowed Baroness Eliza Tisdale has just arrived in Antigua - it's her last hope as all her late husband's other assets have been seized to pay his debts. Once Alistair meets Eliza his wolf realizes that she is his mate. Alistair will be forced to act when there's a threat to Eliza. So, it is a short story but leaves so many things as questions...

This is a short story. I love Margo Bond Collin's stories as she is not always predictable. A small shifter hating island has lords and ladies as well as shifter slaves. Unbeknownst to the higher gentry, there is a shifter who is a lord who seeks to help his fellow shifter. A lady who has lost her husband arrives to claim her inheritance and is the prize of a plot to claim her land. This is their story and it is a good short story. I enjoyed it and would recommend it to folks who love short stories. . I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Courting the Wolf is a pnr romance with the classic vampire/werewolf rivalry. Both sides were taught to hate each other, with the both sides thinking of the other as less than dignified. Ella, the fmc is a vampire who has shown great constraint considering her kind. She spends her days enjoying the season with her closest friend, and spending time with the ladies. During the season she meets Nate, and with them being enemies there's tension right off the bat. We get to see that hate turn to love and compassion while they get to know each other. It was a great short love story and I'm looking forward to reading more about them!

This is a short and quick read that is part of the multi-author anthology titled "Shifting Hearts". It is a collection of historical romances of the shifter and paranormal variety. "Earl Gone Wild" by Margo Bonds is a good story about fated mates Alistair, Lord Wilton, and Eliza, Lady Tisdale. She has come to the island to take over the sugar plantation, the only thing in her husbands estate left. These two meet and his wolf instantly comes the life claiming "Mine". He is on a mission and uncovers a plot. She is determined to never marry again. It leaves you in a cliffhanger with more to come to their story.

This is a review for Earl Gone Wild.
This is a quick read, but it had action and shifters and men with bad intentions. Eliza was left without much when her husband died. Now other people want what she has. Lord Wilton is trying to get the shifters out of Antiqua to protect them. Alistair knew that Eliza was his, and he was going to protect her at all costs. This ends not so much as a real cliffhanger but it is open to a follow up book. I loved Alistair he was so inventive. This is just a great quick read.

This is a review of “Earl Gone Wild”. This is an interesting start to a new series blending hist.rom with paranormal. Alistair, Earl of Wilton is a wolf-shifter who helps shifters escape on the island of Antigua in the early nineteenth century. When widow Eliza, Baroness Tisdale, arrives on the island to take up her inheritance Alastair is immediately smitten. This story was far too short, so I hope this is just setting the scene for further storylines as the premise is very favourable.

The Guardian Dragon - Ashlee Sinn
Action packed from page one. Radomir has a secret that hides beneath his skin but when he falls in battle to the forces of Voadicia, the beast becomes apparent. But what hides may be more dangerous than expected. Can he survive the re-emergence of his dragon? Will the guardian protect more than just his fated mate? Will Radomir and Voadicia live to fight another day?

This review is for A Shift in Expectations

Kessily gives us a sweet short story that is tamer than her normal. Set back in time, shifters were never heard of. Amelia needed to get out of Boston. She decided to be a mail order bride. When she got there, she didn't realize she would have to choose between 3 brothers.

I read A Shift in Expectations. I liked the story line. There is just something so enjoyable about a mail order marriage story. I found this story easy to get involved in. The shifter types involved in this story was very interesting. I loved the main characters. I liked how the brothers related to each other and how Amelia reacted to them all. I liked James, Jesse and Nathaniel.

This is such a great way in meeting new authors but also reading favorites. I'm reviewing one story in particular here as I really enjoyed that. Courting the wolf is written by Elizabeth Dunlap. I loved how there is a difference with werewolf and lycan but you need to pay attention to it. For a short story the romance is there and I hope we'll see a more extended version of the book eventually as I love the werewolf stories very much.

I have a specific author. But this book has multiple books stories about shifting. Secrets anyone? Stories in the past were there a wagon and horses. There are shifters in the Midwest but need a bride. This is where the mail order bride comes in handy. Interesting story of how three brothers are looking for brides. No cliffhanger. . I absolutely loved this short story. I loved how Eliza wasn’t shocked at what was revealed to her. She was ready for a new life and I think one found her. Alastair is totally not what he seems when you first meet him, thought he is protective of those being persecuted. I wanted this book to continue, maybe it will in time.
