Elusive is the fifth book in the Billionaire Bodyguards series by Via Mari. This is another fantastic addition to the Billionaire Bodyguards romantic suspense series- and again we are thrust into an action-packed adventure, with plenty of danger, sex traffickers, hidden agendas, mystery, hot sizzling encounters, intrigue, and romance.
As with the rest of the series, this book could be read as a standalone, as each book in the series focuses on a different couple. But, having said that, I really recommend reading the previous books before starting on this one, because not only are they great stories in their own rights- but you’ll get to meet the recurring characters (who you will want to know more about), as well as the bridging background story that is being revealed as the series evolves.
This is Alexis and Sheldon’s story (whom we have met previously)- where Alexis finds herself in a sticky situation when an international sex trafficker sets his eyes on her and Sheldon is tasked with protecting her. What happens makes for an exciting read.

Elusive: Dark Billionaire Mafia Romance (Billionaire Bodyguards Book 5) by Via Mari is one of my favourites. There is lots of explosive action and deadly suspense, danger, and secrets. I love the alpha hot and sexy men that go above and beyond to protect. They are sexy and charming, witty, and smouldering, dangerous and deadly.
Sheldon and the team have been assigned to protect Alexis when an extremely dangerous man sets his sight on her. It becomes a deadly game of cat and mouse because he will stop at nothing to get her and will go through anyone to get what he wants.
This is another hot and steamy read and a page turner from start to finish.

When a chance meeting can mean a lot more and they don't even know it yet.
Sheldon is a bodyguard protecting those who pay enough to make sure they have the best of the best, but a chance meeting in a coffee shop puts his world into a spin and does he really now what he is getting himself involved in when he meet Alexis and the attraction is instant.
Alexis calls to Sheldon's dominant side which he does not often show this side of him as it tends to to be too intense for other woman, but Sheldon's dominants calls to Alexis in a way she has not felt before but their is a secret which needs to be hidden or she may get him involved or even killed.
Sheldon and Alexis are drawn into a danger, action and hot attraction can they survive the predator that has Alexis in his sights and will not let go with out a fight.
Oh my lord, Via Mari has done it again, this story is epic. If you are looking for a nice romance with a bit of drama I suggest another book, this is full of sexually tense, hot action and a bad ass male dom in the middle of a great story.
I love all the characters that are portraited in this series but I have to admit I loved the character of Sheldon, don't me wrong he's no saint but hell I would love to sin with him. The tense that slowly builds between the main characters is brilliant and adds to this intense story. I book flows through brilliantly and you hardly keep track of time when reading which is always a sign of of a brilliantly written story.
I can't wait to delve back into this world with the next book in this series or any of her other series, one I definitely recommend you need to read, but not just this one the whole series is brilliantly.

This novel lives up to its name. The sexual tension is through the roof!
I love the world this series is set in. This time bodyguard Sheldon is trying to hold himself back from pursuing hairstylist Alexis, as he believes she is not a woman who can be a willing and obedient submissive in, but more importantly outside, of the bedroom. Alexis is attracted to Sheldon but isn’t willing to put herself out there without him showing he cares about her first. And in the background is the lingering threat of a man who couldn’t take Alexis’s “no” for an answer. He has a criminal record and is connected to human traffickers. Will this threat keep Sheldon and Alexis apart or bring them closer together?
There were some parts of this novel that went way to quick for my liking. Names and situations listed out that made it hard to follow who was doing what, and what was going on where.
This novel is certainly more focused on the relationship between Alexis and Sheldon rather than what’s going on in the mafia world. The Dom/sub relationship and world of sex clubs and BDSM are more prevalent in this novel as well.
I love that throughout this series the males may be Dom’s and involved with the mafia, but they actively combat human trafficking and support the survivors. While the FMC’s are submissive she’s not meek and willing to let the male(s) handle everything. The women are strong and have decided if they are willing to embrace their submissive side only for their Dom.

This is another fantastic book in the Billionaire Bodyguards Series. The talent this author has for suspense and drama and the knowledge she has about every item she talks about in her books is beyond amazing.
Every book shows readers that she researches everything. The time it must take her to do all this research, and to write a book that grabs you so quickly that you can not stop reading, is unbelievable. This type of talent is what makes her books absolutely amazing!!!
This is about Sheldon and Alexis. The chemistry between them is instant. Sheldon had a relationship and was hurt. Alexis also had a relationship that left scars. When they both feel the chemistry, they both don't want to get involved because of their past. Sheldon needs a women who will let him be dominate in all areas. Not just in the bedroom. And Alexis doesn't want to trust a dominant man because the only relationship she had did so much damage to her that she couldn't trust Sheldon.
But there is so much between them both there is no way to stop their relationship.
There is a crazy man after Alexis. He is so good at what he does it takes all the Bodyguards time to finally get him. He is as bad as they come. And he keeps eluding everyone by changing his looks and when he gets the women he is after, nothing good happens to them.
There are new characters brought into this story. And it seems every book in this series gets better and better. I was literally on the edge of my seat through out this whole book, waiting for the next thing to happen. The suspense is off the charts and the chemistry between Sheldon and Alexis is so unbelievably hot!!! Pages and pages of sizzling, hot sexy scenes. This is another explosive hot steamy and exciting book in the bodyguard series! We met Alexi and Sheldon in Chase and Katarina’s stories. Now, it is their turn for their story to be told, which will introduce a few more people we will see again in their stories! The two meet when Sheldon almost plows Alexi over trying to take something back from a guy who is harassing her. Sheldon steps in and quickly neutralizes the situation. When checking the guy out, they discover he is extremely dangerous and into sex trafficking among other things~ Now, he is after Alexi and will stop at NOTHING to get her! All Alexi wants is to buy the salon she works at, help take care of the salon owner, her mom, and friend and roommate Allie. The story will bounce back and forth from Italy to New York. Not only will Sheldon and security deal with the protection of Chase and Katarina but will have to guard Lexi, Allie, Lex’s mom, and the salon owner. Horrid surprises are in store and this man is highly intelligent and has other players in the game as well. Will they catch him? Stop him? Who will get hurt or killed? These books keep getting more exciting and hotter as they are written~ Do not miss out on these series!

One submissive and one very dominant. Make for this romantic suspenseful story. I recommend you read this series in order, it will help in getting to know the characters and the work they do.
Via Mari has done it again. I knew when this book came out that everything around me would disappear. The moment I opened this book to read, I was sucked in. The suspense starts at the very beginning and continues until the last page is read. I absolutely love the characters in this story. Sheldon and Alexis are people I would love to be friends with. This is a fast paced and nonstop read. Gather everything you need, as you will not be able to put this one down. Well Done Via Mari! Well Done!

Another fantastic book by this amazing author. This might be my favorite, although I think I say that after almost every one of them. I love a strong alpha male character as well as a strong, stubborn female and this one had both in spades.
I actually found myself laughing at times with the interaction between these two. I loved it. I especially loved the ongoing suspense and edge of my seat reading. I read this in one sitting because I simply could not put it down. There were quite a few steamy scenes and I did skim through some of those as I was too interested in the story itself to take time out for those.
This author is simply amazing, every book is as good if not better than the last. I highly recommend looking her up and reading all of the books in the multiple series they are all associated with. Her characters pull you in and really make you feel like you're right there.

Elusive is the 5th book in the outstanding Billionaire Bodyguards series by Via Mari. I’ve been a huge fan of Via Mari’s work for some time but I have to say that this is my favourite series of her. Rather than being the billionaires who have everything at their fingertips, these are the elite team of guys who are hired to look after the billionaires and their families. Each book in the series can be read as a stand-alone.
In Elusive we get the story of bodyguard Sheldon who is given the job of keeping Alexis safe from an evil human trafficker who is stalking her. The attraction between them is off the charts but can Alexis allow herself to become involved with another dominant man after a very bad experience with one in the past. Sheldon will do everything to get Alexis to see how she is the perfect submissive for him and that she can trust him never to hurt her.
I loved reading Sheldon and Alexis’ story. Although submissive, Alexis is also very sassy and this makes for some very entertaining moments in the book.
In typical Via Mari style this book is very steamy and the sex scenes are hot as hell. Via Mari is one of my favorite authors so I knew it would be amazing. You can read it as a standalone but I think you will enjoy it much more if you read the series. These books are full of danger, sex, hidden agendas, intrigue and romance. Of course this book is no different. This is Alexis and Sheldon's story and Alexis find herself in a dangerous situation dealing with sex traffickers. Sheldon is determined to protect her no matter what it costs him. This book if full of romance and hot scenes so be prepared. I read it in one setting because I couldn't put it down. Will Sheldon end up protecting Alexis or will he get hurt trying to protect her? Sheldon is my new book boyfriend! Read Elusive to see what I'm talking about!

This isn't the first book I've read by Mari. Each book gets better and better. This one involves my favorite guy Sheldon.
Sheldon is working on keeping Kat safe, but when Alexis falls into his life things change. Especially since someone wants her. He won't let that happen. The quote I chose for Sheldon is: “You don’t even glance at the lady. Apologize, and then we are going to call it a day.”
Alexis is a hard working young woman. When Sheldon comes to her for a job and the amount of money she couldn't say no. She loves what she does, but when some sicko comes after her she isn't sure what to do. The quote I chose for Alexis is: “Your hair looks naturally curly, so let’s just go with that, but with sleekness and smoothness, unless you’re looking for a different style.”
Highly recommended for Romantic Suspense lovers.
Elusive: Dark Billionaire Mafia Romance (Billionaire Bodyguards Book 5) by Via Mari
This isn't the first book I've read by Mari. Each book gets better and better. This one involves my favorite guy Sheldon.
Sheldon is working on keeping Kat safe, but when Alexis falls into his life things change. Especially since someone wants her. He won't let that happen. The quote I chose for Sheldon is: “You don’t even glance at the lady. Apologize, and then we are going to call it a day.”
Alexis is a hard working young woman. When Sheldon comes to her for a job and the amount of money she couldn't say no. She loves what she does, but when some sicko comes after her she isn't sure what to do. The quote I chose for Alexis is: “Your hair looks naturally curly, so let’s just go with that, but with sleekness and smoothness, unless you’re looking for a different style.”
Highly recommended for Romantic Suspense lovers.

I loved this book. This is an author that I never hesitate to pick up. Her books pull you in and the characters are steamy and always bring the action. This book is no different. This is the fifth book in this series and I highly suggest reading from the beginning, it will help your enhancement of this series. This is a well written story that has characters that bring the story to life on each page. They made the story fun and entertaining to read. I read this book in one sitting as it is that great. In this book we get to see Sheldon. He is a body guard that has been assigned to protect a woman from a trafficker. Alexis will put his skills to the test. What he did not expect was the attraction he felt for her. What happens next I highly recommend reading this book. It is worth the pick up!

Elusive by Via Mari, the 5th book in the Billionaire Bodyguards series, is another wonderful page turner from start to finish from this amazing author.
This story introduces us to Sheldon, huge, hot and oh so dominant, and Beautiful, Sweet submissive Alexis, a young woman hiding her needs because of pain from her past. It all starts easily enough, Sheldon steps in when Alexis needs help with unwanted attention from a creep at a coffee shop. Little did he know that encounter would turn into so much more for both of them or that the creep would be so much more then simply a jerk who doesn't know how to accept the word NO!
I was hooked on every step of their journey and on the edge of my seat for the entire book. I just couldn't put it down. Do yourself a huge favour and read this book today! ok actually grab the whole series and get reading!!!!

Elusive is the 5th book in the Billionaire Bodyguards series and I was pulled in right from the beginning. The author does a great job of pulling you in with her writing.
Sheldon and his team are hired to protect Alexis. She has a very dangerous man trying to find her and will stop at nothing to get her. When these two meet there is an instant connection and something about Alexis calls to Sheldon’s dominant side.
Will Sheldon and his team be able to keep Alexis safe?
Overall this was a great read. You get danger, mystery, romance and so much more. I REALLY liked Sheldon and I enjoyed reading their story, it was intense at times. The secondary characters added a great element to the story. This book can be read as a standalone but I suggest reading from the beginning. I look forward to reading more from this author and series.

While getting coffee, bodyguard Sheldon sees a man harassaing a woman. He jumps in to rescue Alexis giving her the advice to file a report with the police. Later that day, when his employer needs a hairdresser, Alexis is the first one he thinks of. Soon he realizes the strange man is up to no good and is after Alexis. He quickly puts a plan in place to keep her and her roommate safe.
Opinion
The more I read in this series, the more in love with Ms. Mari's writing style I become. The way she describes instantly falling in love makes it seem so natural (if only it were so.) I am now certain I am going to have to go back and pick up books 1 and 2 that I missed.
This series is perfect for the alpha male book lovers. Each book has a different man who's love is all consuming.

Well she's done it again. This book was everything I have come to expect from a book by Ms. Mari. Romance, suspense, danger and some incredible hot moments.
I wasn't sure if Sheldon and Alexis were a good fit. But as I got deeper into the story I could see they were more perfect than I could have expected. How Sheldon didn't throttle Alexis I will never know.
All of these guys are absolutely the Alpha males of all Alphas. Not a single one of them doesn't exude it and I love reading how each one of them is getting snared by these women.
I really hope Nick is next, though there is something about Trent that makes me want to know more.

Elusive:Dark Millionaire Mafia Romance by Via Mari is the fifth book in the Billionaire Bodyguards series. This is such a brilliant and intense series that somehow just seems to keep getting better. This book had everything going for it - amazing characters, strong chemistry and brilliant writing. It is fast paced and exciting from start to finish. The characters don’t have a typical start to their journey but it is one that hooked me immediately.
Via Mari is an author I only discovered relatively recently but she has easily become one of my go to authors. Whenever I see a book with her name on it I don’t hesitate to give it a go and I am never disappointed. This is a fantastic series and one I would highly recommend!

Elusive is the fifth book in the Billionaire Bodyguards series. I recommend reading all the books in this series to get full enjoyment of this book. Via Mari did an amazing job as always grabbing me from the first page to the last page. It is a steaming romance. I am going to warn you that you may want to leave enough time because you may not be able to stop reading until the last page of this book. The characters are fully developed and relatable. This story is about Sheldon who is a bodyguard to Alexis. She needs protection from a trafficker. She is one handful for Sheldon to say the least. Will there be sparks between Alexis and Sheldon? Will Sheldon protect her from herself? I highly recommend reading this book to see what happens to Sheldon and Alexis.

They just keep getting better and better. I love how each book focuses on a specific couple so the books can be read as standalones, but all the books are excellent reads and I highly recommend you read this series in order.
This book will keep you on the edge of your seat, with action, adventure, suspense and romance. It follows Sheldon and Alexis, as they meander through sex trafficking, being in danger, hot sizzling romance. This book was highly entertaining and a pleasure to read. I can’t wait to see what Via Mari has coming up next.

In the fifth instalment of the Billionaire Bodyguards, we follow Alexis and Sheldon, their romance and the danger that follows. The dynamic between these two is electric and is a bit of a struggle as well, for both of them. They’ll have to compromise and grow together to be able to beat the trafficker! This book is filled with romance, steamy scenes and danger. It was my first read of Via Mari and was enjoyable. Definitely fast paced, light beach read. I was so engrossed that I read it in one sitting! I needed to know the outcome! I bet people who love the other books in this series will be pleased with this one as well.

This series just continues to get better and better. Elusive was a fantastic 5 star read, I loved every single minute of it! I love this author, she had such an amazing writing ability, her stories are just an absolute pleasure to read – she creates some brilliant characters and I am always completely absorbed in their story. I love Sheldon, he was definitely book boyfriend material! I loved Sheldon for her dominance but Alexis was certainly one who could hold her own but the passion and sparks between them was off the charts! Their story is definitely a steamy one!! Fantastic read and highly recommended!!

The Billionaire Bodyguards series continues with Elusive, book five in the series by Via Mari. Honestly, this series just gets better an better. You feel like you become one with the story and its characters. The stroryline is so believable and the cast are hot and provide an enviable set of moments that are unforgettable. I am continuously amazed and impressed by the talent of Via Mari. Her stories are always easy to get into and almost impossible to put down. Sheldon and Alexis were dynamic together and set the story alight with their attraction and chemistry. Danger and suspense are around every corner. A very classy dark mafia romance. 5 well deserved stars.

This series just gets better! Sheldon and Alexis are awesome. They meet for the first time in a café and sparks fly. Sheldon saves Alexis from a bully who is harassing her in the café. Turns out said bully has a criminal record and is highly into Human Trafficking. Sheldon immediately protects Alexis and a budding romance ensues. Alexis has her doubts of entering a new relationship because of issues in a past relationship. Sheldon seems to have some of the same fears. Together they help one another and love brings them together. This series just keeps you on your toes. I hope there’s more to come.

This series just gets better and better with each installment! I often find myself saying that with Via Mari’s novels though. I really love how she can write a strong and domineering male but she really can throw in an equally strong female to counter him! We get just that with this fifth book in the Billionaire Bodyguards Book, Elusive. Sheldon and Alexis really heat up the kindle screen with their interactions in so many different ways and I loved every moment of it. I believe these books really could be read as standalones but they are so good why not get them all and devour them together? I am anxious to see who and what will come next!

I was super excited for the next book in this series. And this was perfect. The author has an amazing talent of drawing you into her stories with the way she describes every little minute detail. You can tell that she certainly does her work based off the description of each character, items, and surroundings. I can visually imagine it in my head while reading her books. This was probably my favorite couple she has written about so far in her series. Their chemistry is so steamy yet as with all good stories there is always something standing in their way. If you are a fan of sexy, steamy, mystery and suspense then this is a great selection to read.

Elusive: Billionaire Mafia Romance is book five in the Billionaire Bodyguards series. Yet again was wowed by another great read from the author. Such an amazing read and incredible addition to the series. The story may be read as a stand alone but I do recommend that you read each story and in order too. They are all such great reads. Each story does focus on a different couple but there worlds are intertwined together. Prepare yourself for an entertaining romantic suspenseful story packed with mystery, a little sizzle, lust, and drama. Loved it from the very beginning and until the very end. Can't wait to see what the series has in store for me next!
