This is the final book of the Cursed Academy series.
Giselle has made the ultimate decision about her fate, a decision that may drive Ronin away forever. A decision that may doom the world...or will it?
Because things may not be as they seem.
Now struggling with her new powers and identity, Giselle must unite with her former enemies to defeat a foe she never knew existed. It may be the only way to save her friends from their monstrous fates and to save humanity from becoming little more than slaves to the gods.
But in the process, she may have to face her own inner darkness...and Ronin's.She may have to drive a rift between her and Ronin for the greater good. And worse, she may not even survive what she must do to free the world.
Can Giselle sacrifice everything to do what's right?
Holly Hook is the author of the Destroyers Series, which consists of five young adult books about teens who are walking disasters...literally. She is also the author of the Rita Morse series, a young adult fantasy series still in progress, and After These Messages, a short ya comedy. Currently she is writing Twisted, a spin-off of the Destroyers Series due out in December. When not writing, she enjoys reading books for teens, especially ya fantasy and paranormal series with a unique twist.
Ok I am deciding to review on the last book for the whole series. I loved it, I loved just about everything about the storyline. I wish there was another book about post-war lives and what is going on with everyone. Even after reading the boxset, I am not ready to say goodbye to our characters. The earlier books are verrrry heavy on grammatical errors and that alone almost made me return it, but I liked the world she was building and needed to keep reading. I think around book 3 or 4 it wasn't as noticeable. So, if you can get around the errors and fill in the blanks yourself, it's a fantastic read. I can't wait to read more from this author.
Holly Hook’s Cursed Academy series has been very addictive and enjoyable, yet somehow getting better and better with each installment (a neat trick as I gave a 5-star rating to book 1). Now in Year Four we get a powerful story with Giselle seemingly facing horrible choices and the potential need to have to sacrifice not just her relationship with Ronin but her very self. Heady stuff, yet perfectly executed in an exciting book that’s easy to recommend.
Finale book in The Cursed academy series. Giselle is struggling to control her new power and her identity having turn dark. Can Giselle and her friends stop Zeus and the others gods and save the humanity to become slaves...
Love this serie and the finale book was really great. I have received an arc of this book by the author.
A thrilling conclusion filled with plot twists and unimaginable sacrifices. I thought this author did an amazing job keeping me puzzled as to how everything will work out. Loved the way this tale raced on by and sort of made me sad that it’s over. I found this series very entertaining! All my reviews are always voluntarily written.
I'm done. Finally! Gods, this story drags, and I didn't like Ronin, from beginning to end. Dominique was also annoying and all the good guys seemed to be doormats. Nice ending but not good enough to make up for all the dragging of the past 4 books. It's over and I'm never reading something like this ever again, hopefully.
Overall good ending to the series. A little predictable, but still a fun read. The story moved along pretty quickly, which I appreciated. I feel like an Epilogue might have been helpful to see how everyone did. It ends pretty quickly after the big battle so I did wonder about a few of the characters.
This is the final book in the cursed academy series and wow! Goselle and her friends sure took us on an adventured at the academy. I'm not going to give you any spoilers but this book a must read. I hope you enjoy like i did.
Still just as crammed with action and twists as the rest of the series. As sad as I am to see this series come to an end, I'm happy with how it turned out. Can't wait to see what Holly Hook as up her sleeves next!
