She was his obsession...

For years, Jack Starett had been hunting her down - but all Andrea Hart knew about him was that he was the most powerfully attractive man she'd ever encountered. Just one glance - and she was glad she'd come to Montana.

But something in Jack's melancholy eyes warned of danger, something in his heated kisses almost frightened her. And each night spent near the ranch where she'd been born brought back stronger childhood nightmares - or were they memories?

Andrea needed someone to watch over her, and Jack had set himself up as her protector. But was her midnight cowboy a white knight - or a threat to her safety?

NEW RELEASE!! The Skinny On Jack book #2 in the humorous Jack B Smart cozy mystery series.
https://amzn.to/2Kg7S0q
Jacqueline Bouviér Smart, aka Jack B to friends and family, is an aspiring mystery writer and part time amateur sleuth who has once again sworn off men and murder.

Inheriting shares in a weight loss company over the holidays should be a good thing, not something that leads to bombs going off and your car getting blown up. Right? Jack B doesn’t think so. Nor does she trust on again, off again beau, Seattle Police Detective Stone Maddox to catch the culprits.

When she starts to investigate, she discovers more might be disappearing at the weight loss clinic than pounds. The owner has been missing for a few months. Before she can figure out what’s going on, her counselor dies. Then Stone gets involved, and his brother Duke, and three gun-totin’ grannies, and even her deceased ex-husband. Before Jack B knows what hit her, she’s up to her favorite hoop earrings in men and murder. Again.

I bought it along with other harlequin books at the thrift store and thought why not. So I picked it up and couldn't put it down! I didn't have a break and read it in 2 hours. It is a good little mystery and I didn't guess who the nightmare man was until it was revealed in the book. I really enjoyed it and now I want a protective cowboy 🤠

Got this book as a joke from a friend because I love thriller and romance, found it surprisingly entertaining?! Loved the idea of reading a 90s mystery. Easy read / great pocket book for a beach read in one day. Incredibly predictable but whatever, it was yummy to read.

But also, I wouldn’t read anymore in this series.
