A Fling To Ring Romance: A Bad Boy Tattoo Artist Romantic Comedy
Fae is tired of always doing what she’s supposed to do. But after a lifetime of being a good girl, she decides to be bad. Well, as long as nobody can see how bad she is.
After a dare from her best friends, she goes to a tattoo parlor and gets a piercing ‘down there‘ from Roman, the sexiest man she’s ever seen.
So what does she do? She doesn’t ask for his phone number. No. She goes back and gets a tattoo.
Sparks fly between them, and while Roman’s rough, inked appearance and bad boy motorcycle doesn’t fit with her twin sweater set and sensible shoes, they just might be perfect for each other.
And Fae might learn how to be just a little bit bad.
L.L. Ash is a Washington-born writer who has traveled and lived across the western coast of the US. She lives in Utah with her husband and 3 kids, all of which are a handful!
Ash has been writing fiction since she was 11 years old, and finished her first full-length romance novella at 12. While her writing has improved since then, her love for literature has not changed. Oftentimes you can find Ash reading an indie romance or enjoying a historical fiction. She has been an artist for decades but found her true love and passion in romances.
But Ash is not content to write a romance with untried characters or predictable ‘happily ever afters’. Ash strives to create honest stories revolving around struggling heroins and bruised heroes, both trying to find happiness and acceptance, just like we in real life do. She writes about real struggles and real hardships, often giving the characters a tarnished facade. But through the constant loving and hating of the characters, you will fall in love with them as they grow and change and evolve through the stories.
As Ash always says, it’s all about real romance for real life.
It's not all that common that I read books that make me step outside my comfort zone and everything turns out well!
Fae is a sheltered girl who one day decides that she's had enough. Enough of being her fiance's doormat. Enough of doing what is expected of her. Enough of having to live her life without the elementary kind of affection.
Roman, the brooding tattoo artist makes her work for everything. He demands everything of her, because simply put he's all in.
Sweet, romantic, hopeful, funny, amising and sizzling hot!!!
This book very close to my heart. Nearly a year ago I was lucky enough to do a beta read swap with this book and it was the reason I met one of my favourite authors, L.L. Ash!!!
Loved!!! Refreshing change up from the usual manwhore, playboy MC’s we love to hate… Roman doesn’t sleep around. He has a 3 date rule before sex and he’s looking for a certain kind of girl and Fae is it. Funny banter. All the side characters at the tattoo shop are great and we all should be so lucky to have Fae’s 2 wacky best friends.
I’m enjoying this author’s storytelling and by far my favorite of hers yet.
I loved this book so much. The quiet smart (secretly rich) tattoo artist who is looking for love and the straight laced you woman who is searching for something. This is incredibly sweet, super steamy and sexy. Had a bit of drama that kept me intrigued. I love an emotional man so Rome was amazing and Fae was so relatable. I would highly recommend.
I really liked two thirds of the book. I enjoyed the relationship between the MCs and their friends but the conflict and resolution of the last third of the book? I hated everything about that. I hate the fact that her parents still got what they wanted and that they were present at Romans and Faes special moment. They did not deserve the privilege to be there. Of course I hated her parents but Fae was a complete idiot too! She didn’t realize they were complete scum when they were forcing her to get back together with her cheating ex-fiancé? How stupid do you have to be? They obviously didn’t have her best interest at heart and she was too much of a wimp to realize it. It took her faaar too long and Roman deserved better. He was the true victim in all of this.
Rome and Fae are cute together. I liked the supporting characters also. There might have been a few typos but they were easily looked past. This is about a kinda rebel bad boy with a heart of gold and a good girl that does what her parents tell her to and how the find love together. It's a sweet story and I liked it a lot.
I'm sorry but that first chapter? So original and great! It made me read this book immediately. 😈
I adored 75% of this book. Fae was a very sheltered person for her age but she subconsciously knew it and Roman was the highlight of this book. They had amazing dialogues starting with the first dinner "not date" and I cherish the fact they both had a tattoo of each other. Italian and Pixie. I surprisingly enjoyed all the piercing and tattoos in this story and how it was implemented to their spicy scenes. 🔥🔥🔥
Now, onto the unfortunate things. I hated the conflict, like purely loathed it, it was so stupid and I would smack Fae on the head for being such an oblivious bitch. She doesn't deserve Roman at all. And how quickly he forgave her? Embarrassing. The final 25% were just atrocious, she opened her baking store without any progress in her thoughts so it didn't really make sense, and then realized she wanted him back also without any thoughts and went to him with this cute scheme where she told him she loved him with a tattoo when in reality she should have crawled with forgiveness for the shit she did. And the proposal with her parents there when they didn't talk to them for months? Weird. I just hate I enjoyed so much of this book to then be dissapointed. 😔
2,5 ☆!!! I hated the beginning and I hated the end. the middle bit I somewhat enjoyed.
lets start with the beginning. it was awkward AF. we have this whipped and meek good cardigan kind of girl who goes from zero to clit piercing. to which she gets practically coerced by her friends to get. she crushes on the mmc and goes back to have a boob Tattoo so she can Flash him her boobs expecting him to make a move on her and is dissapointing that he remains professional and keeps his hands to himself, rightly so!!!! it continues to be awkward. but eventually one gets over it and you get to enjoy the middle Part which is cute. though the fMC irritates me on a regular Basis. she is a bland character. she has no agency in her life. she has no idea who she is, what she wants and where she wants to go. she is a bland canvas doing whatever other people tell her - primarily her douchebag-parents, her girlfrinds and at times the mMC. she only does the Rebellious thing when she thinks she can get away with it and does not have to face the followthrough. which leads us to the end where she chooses to follow her parents Orders (she was 26 FFS Nd not 16) and not the path where she started to claim some agency and made a 180 turn WTF. i Was so angry and skimmmed to the end.but at that point I did not care anymore. she did not deserve an HEA. she could have rotted in her regret, guilt and selfpity for All I cared. and to top it all off: not even the pieces of shit parents have to face any repercussions for their awfulness. so disapointing. I expected better from the Author of HIM and TEACH ME.
I stumbled upon Heart Ink when I went to search for "tattoo artist romances." It was the first time I ever searched for that subject, so I didn't know what to expect.
But this felt like I was reading a book created by a best friend. It was well loved, funny and I felt really connected to the characters. And despite one character's decision making skills, I really enjoyed this book. You know a book is a great book when you're giggling out loud and wishing you found yourself a Roman too.
The heroine wasn’t exactly my favorite. She is likable but the assumptions about their situation then hero’s intentions were annoying. but oh man. Italian is right at the top of my list of favorites. This was really cute, very light and was a quick read. Funny too but at times it wasn’t meant to be and it had me laughing at the sheer ridiculousness of what I read. Still good enough for a reread though.
It was pretty good up to the point where her parents disagree. It was such an over the top reaction and behaviour from them. They weren’t even real people. Zero characterisation at all. And she acted so out of character too. It might’ve made sense if the whole book she wasn’t doing exactly the opposite. It’s so dumb and is brushed over with a bullshit confession. It ruins the book.
This was entertaining enough. A very quick read. The idea of breaking up with someone because your Daddy tells you to and in your late twenties is a bit silly and unbelievable. I wanted to slap her and say snap out of it! Grow a pair and take what you want.
It was all good banter until til the last few chapters. Like wtf I want to slap the fmc to her sense. Come on she’s 26 not 16. She is one of the fmc that got me swear b!tch!
I would let her beg if I was the mmc. I feel so bad for him and so pain for him too!!
