This is a great continuation of this steamy supernatural romance! It’s exciting, it’s gripping, there’s murder, there’s mystery, there’s intrigue and there’s smoking hot chemistry. Full of action, suspense, drama, danger, curses and so much more, once started I could not put this down. I love the characters, love the storyline and I can wait to read the next book!

This is book two of the ICRA Files: Berlin series and sees Agent Gina Brent thinking she was so over rockstar and vampire Aric Sutter after he failed to contact her over the last few months. But then, she hasn’t tried to contact him either. Her partner and warlock Finn forces her to take a ticket to Aric’s bands latest gig and to talk to him! Instead of standing in the front row, she opts for a view from the back of the hall, but is caught out when she hangs around too long before leaving after the gig ends. Aric catches up with her in the street and asks if she will talk with him. She takes him back to his flat, but before they even get through the door, her werewolf senses can smell blood and a lot of it! It seems someone has been leaving him messages written in blood and this isn’t the first one. He has made no mention of it to ICRA or Gina, just the local police each time. She can tell he is hiding something and walks out as he continues to lie to her about what is happening and who might be behind it all!
Finn and Gina are dealing with a case of a rogue female werewolf, but it isn’t quite so simple, as when Gina finally manages to track the scent of the werewolf, she finds the woman, Emilia, has also been cursed by a witch, like her brother Dominik, but managed to get away. She had been forced to kill strangers, until on that final night when she escaped her captors, going on a total rampage against any humans she came across, killing them in a frenzy whilst the magic still controlled her. Gina’s brother has been suffering from a similar curse for years and she has been unable to find any witches with the skills at magic, to break the curse. Now it seems there is another extremely powerful witch who is working with others to experiment on werewolves, for some unknown reason. Gina and the other agents at ICRA need to find this witch and her accomplices before anymore werewolves are cursed.
It seems that someone is targeting Aric again and she is uncertain whether it has anything to do with the newspaper clippings she was sent anonymously at the end of the previous book. Is Aric hiding the fact he used to be a killer? Can she trust a word he says, when he is keeping some huge secrets from her and won’t mention anything about his past. When matters escalate, someone from Aric’s past is seemingly involved and looking for revenge. A number of vampire attacks spread the ICRA agents thin and Gina finds herself in some unexpected trouble, as she finds Aric in a suspicious situation yet again! The two of them seem to always have something get in the way of any actual relationship between them, as murders and frenzied attacks continue, carried out by supernaturals under the influence of powerful magic. The action is definitely ramping up in the city and death is all around. Gina and Aric are right in the thick of this magical conundrum and there is still so much more to come. I can’t wait! ICRA Agent Gina Brent had gone to a concert featuring her favorite band which ends up with a murder. Not knowing her personal history with the vampire lead singer, Aric Sutter, Gina’s boss assigns her to the case. One of his fans was found drained of blood by the backstage door. Whether she liked it or not, she would have to continue working around him as she continued the investigation.
In the meantime, Gina and her partner Finn Gerdel were checking out two dismembered bodies in a bedroom next door to the targeted victims. Their houses were merged along the longest wall. Gina determined it was the same female wolf. She also believed these victims heard the screams next door and investigated, making them the next target. A party had been going on, so further away neighbors would not have suspected the carnage here. While she followed the scent of the murdering wolf, Finn got a call that two more bodies had been found! As she tracked the wolf’s scent into the park, she called her partner to say she had to shift into wolf to continue because the constant breeze jumbled the trail. She found where the wolf had actually slept after the kill; but it hadn’t reverted to human form which was strange. She continued to follow and smelled blood. Running through an open sliding glass door, she found a victim still alive on the kitchen floor. Stein, the ME, answered her call and came to help the man while she continued chasing the wolf. She tracked her into an apartment building and down to the basement where she found a naked human figure huddled in the dark corner, sobbing. She was no more than 22 years old. She had chained herself with bicycle chains, then began to shift to wolf, yelling that she could not control it. Her brother Dominik had been the same. This girl was likewise cursed, and she leaped on Gina, biting down to the bone of her arm. If Gina shifted to her own wolf, the girl would rip her throat out as she momentarily transitioned.
As the wolf got dangerously close to Gina’s throat, Finn and his backup rushed in. With magic flying and vamp speed with heavy-duty cuffs and chains, Finn knocked her unconscious and they bound her. Stein had told Finn Gina was still chasing the wolf, which is the closest she had ever gotten. So he called in for the backup and equipment, just pure luck and intuition! When she and Finn were alone, she told him the bad news – this wolf has the same curse as Dominik.
Obviously there is much more to this story than what I covered, but that part was so intense that the reader will absolutely be held captive until they capture the wolf. The curse will be the real challenge. And Gina still has to get back to Aric. This series is really excellent with all of the paranormal varieties, mysteries, and romance flying every which way! Grab your copy and enjoy some really fine reading!

“Down with Vamps”, the second book in the “ICRA: Berlin” urban fantasy series by Gaja J. Kos, is an interesting story that blends typical UF tropes (vamps & werewolves) with a procedural plot and the rock music world.
Gina Brent (MC) is a ICRA agent who has been tied up in the investigation of the murder of a fan of the acclaimed rock star Aric Sutter, much to Gina’s embarrassment, as she herself has major crush on the boy. Aric is trouble encasing in studded-leather-rock attired trouble, who do all honors to his ‘mightier-than-thee’ rock’n’roll façade. Gina would love to throw him to the curb and close the investigation without him, unfortunately all signs point to Aric being at the core of it. And thus, Gina would have to ‘endure’ him for a bit longer, much to our entertainment, because those two together are just so fun to watch 😊
The story is a fine mix of ‘whodunnit’ and paranormal ‘opposites attract’ romance that pulls every known register in the vampire/werewolf love affair theme.

As an ICRA agent Gina is tasked with investigating the murder of one of, rock star, Aric's fans. Now the two have a history and Gina hates the feelings she holds for him and if she did not have to interact with him she wouldn't but it seems the investigation is going to centre around him. I loved the two of them together, they really did strike sparks off each other but more than that the investigation into a rogue wolf who went on a killing spree might just bring her closer to answers about her brother's curse as well so she really is having to deal with a lot of emotion whilst doing her job. The characters are flawlessly crafted and the story is full of emotional angst, passion, danger, good and evil and you will not want to put it down.

Gina is in the middle of a murder investigation that involves a wolf rampaging through the city. They catch the wolf and she appears to be suffering from the same curse as Gina's brother. Meanwhile, Aric returns to town and Gina finds that she can't stay away and attends his latest concert. It comes out that Aric is being threatened by someone in his past and is reluctant to bring Gina into it. Tension ensues between Aric and Gina because Aric is still hiding things but then Aric is targeted and Gina comes to his rescue. They finally admit their feelings for each other, the steam factor ramps up and they unite in their determination to find and defeat their enemies. I'm loving this series and I'm looking forward to the conclusion.

Gina, Aric, Flynn, and the rest of the ICRA and WJP are back. Ironically, Aric's brother and Gina's brother are both an integral part of this book.
I was sucked in immediately by the beginning at a murder scene and ensuing chase. Gina is severely injured but they get the rampaging werewolf captured and contained.
The action in the cases takes a backseat at times to the steamy action between Aric and Gina. This is a slow building, very explicit, spicy build up.
Except for the sexy parts that I mostly skipped over I really loved this book. This is second in a trilogy, but the author has a whole world built containing multiple books and short series. It is easy to lose yourself in this world. I'm reading the next in this trilogy now. Highly recommend!.

“The past is catching up with me.”
Gina is an ICRA agent with a cursed brother giving her a unique perspective on the way magic is wielded in this Universe of Shifters, Vampires, Warlocks and Witches.
Aric is a Vampire who moonlights as a singer in a popular band, and can't get away from the reality that the longer you live the more people might hold a grudge.
I love the way this is written, I get so caught up in the page turning action as Gina pursues the whodunit, trying to figure out what is happening, who is doing it, why they are doing it... and all while making hard choices -- chase the suspect, or stop to render aid to the innocent?
Finn and the rest of the ICRA team, as well as Aric's band mates make this feel like more of a "community story" than it otherwise would, making me glad they get as much time as they do.

In Down With Vamps, Gina and Aric keep dancing around what their hearts are telling them. Meanwhile, Aric becomes a target again but by someone from his past and an unknown. Gina is once again in the middle of a serial murder case. It hits close to home as her brother Dominick is in the middle of it all. There are also some nearly sob-worthy moments with Aric in danger and Gina attempting to save him. The storyline is wrought with much more supernatural and paranormal action, intense family and relationship drama, suspense, murder, mayhem, and lots of lust. It ends where the next book begins.

Die Anziehung zwischen Aric und Gina war ja schon im ersten Teil sehr klar, aber dass sich deren Geschichte so entwickelt, damit habe ich absolut nicht gerechnet. Ich liebe den Aufbau der Reihe, die Verbindung zwischen Werwölfen, Vampiren und nun auch Hexen, und dass mitten unter uns im Herzen von Deutschland. Super Plot, spannend geschrieben, überraschende Wendungen und natürlich eine Brise Erotik. Sehr tolles Buch, jeder der paranormal mag, sollte Gaja's Bücher auf seiner Wunschliste haben. Freu mich schon sehr auf die Fortsetzung und weitere geheimnisvolle Fälle aus den AAVB Akten

Gina is still wondering what she means to Aric, and if she can even trust him. She is getting a sense that Aric might hold more answers, to the questions she has on her latest case. Will she get the answers she needs? I enjoyed the secrets, suspense and interesting twists of this story, although at times I was a bit frustrated with Aric.

A musical/magical love, in denial for so long, between the protagonists, and various other supernatural problems and problematic characters keep the tension and breath-stopping moments of action rumbling and the pages turning.
The power behind music is presented as something beautiful, magical, and the strength of live concert music as something even more.

Gina is back and her and Finn are trying their best to figure out what is going on. A mix of paranormal, mystery and suspense with a lot of action thrown in for fun. The story itself is interesting, fun to read, mysterious, and has a few twists too. Easy to get hooked and kept reading to figure out what is going on and how does it all fit together, especially since a curse seems to be involved too. Loved it. Liked the feel and pace and the hunky vampire. So hard to put down.

This is book 2 in the ICRA Files: Berlin I’m loving this series because we have a vampire rockstar Aric and Gina a wolf shifter and ICRA agent, this story is packed full of action, danger, suspense, drama, passion and so much more to keep you entertained and turning the pages. Sorry guys no spoilers this is an exciting, nail biting fantastic story and I can’t wait to read book 3 and I definitely recommend this book/ series.

Down with Vamps by Gaja J. Kos is such an awesome story that I have loved reading. This is book number two in this awesome series that I am so hooked on and can not wait to read the rest. Shelby is at it again. This time she is changing people and hexing them. Though one good thing comes of it and Dominik finds someone who is like him. The worst thing that happened is she hexed Aric and he almost does something bad. At least this time he doesn’t run away. Things are getting steamer between Aric and Gina. I would recommend this book and series.

This second book is action packed, suspenseful and full of mystery. There are so many twists and turns to keep you enthralled..Gina and Aric are terrific with an intense relationship.
