Myne deals with issues concerning her new attendants, she struggles with different ideologies. Also an confrontation with the High Priest which leaves you scratching your head as to why it is where it is in the story. (At least for me) The art and story are of course solid, and this lighthearted book continues to keep your interest as it slowly moves forward. This series is like eating potato chips, it's almost impossible to only enjoy one and you find yourself consuming more and more without realizing how many you have consumed.
A lower star review due to the author's decision to have the confrontation between Myne and the High Priest in the second to last chapter, AND NOT DISCUSS IT IN THE LAST! I'm fine with cliffhangers, but why do that in the middle of the book and then deny us any meaningful information in the last? Booo
At last Myne is making a book! Although of course there are challenges, and she cycles between different technologies (e.g. woodblock printing) trying to figure out how to make it. The Italian restaurant is also facing issues, so there was a lot of problem-solving that I enjoyed. And then there was a cliffhanger at the end, so I'm really looking forward to the next volume.
Ahh, I still love these. I even loved the short story about Tulli be so worried about Myne running around making books instead of learning to sew diapers -- how will she ever get married? Least of her problems, explains mum.
This is my favorite manga out right now. I run, don't walk to read every new volume translated. Each volume introduces a tiny new thing and just *chef's kiss* love it.
Myne's new noble studies (and pursuit of a picture book for the new baby) means getting new attendants but new attendants means new problems because you gotta make sure your employees get along.
But books of any kind require paper and ink, the latter of which is currently ridiculously expensive, so Myne has a new project to work on. But this project does raise a few eyebrows with the High Priest and then it ends on a cliffhanger! I need MORE!
