I have had this book on my TBR for a long time. Thanks to my buddy Vivian who is running this crazy fast bingo challenge, I selected this book. WHAT ON EARTH? How the hell did I NOT read this book yet? First of all, I am a devoted fan of Ms. Harte. She writes some of the hottest non-human sex - ever! Second, did I mention the sex? Seriously, she is the only one who writes vanilla sex (okay, non kinky but maybe not vanilla because it is more than one partner) I have ever read. Whenever she does multiple partner sex or involves non quite humans, the sex is off the chart. My panties were wet reading this one. Third, the world building is intriguing and I want to learn more. Ms. Harte is a bit light on the details. So, I checked out if there were more books. There is only ONE! What???? I will be reading the next one and hoping there will be more.
The characters in this book are just how I like them.
1. Snarky kick ass female. ✓ 2. Alpha male who is kind of stupid to female/male relationships ✓ 3. Slight less alpha male who is sensitive ✓ 4. BIG DICKS ✓ 5. HORNY DEPRAVED SEX ADDICTS ✓
So, basically, I am focused on the sex in this one. The plot is decent and the story holds up well. It isn't too complicated. This reminds me of Circe's Recruits which I really enjoyed. And Dawn Endeavor. The story is fast paced and I didn't read it all in one sitting only because it was late at night and I was short on sleep.
This erotic sexfest is recommended to menage lovers who enjoy all sorts of sexual couplings.
Fantasy/future + special powers + unique take on shifter/pack dynamics. I enjoyed the world building and character development. Parts of the initial “fated mate” attraction bordered on dub con for me - so if you’re sensitive to that dynamic, be aware. It’s kind of a sex/orgy fest. Not cheating, but extras that won’t be part of final “mated” grouping. Easy, read in one evening fun.
I don't think I'm a gang bang type of girl. This was a book of sexy shifters...er...voiders. There was a lot to take in in this book, because some of the world attributes are so different from what I have come to understand of common threads used is the PNR worlds. Some of the things that made me struggle was the mating and connections between three or four packmates, but sex with everyone else still. I am used to shifters being more "MINE!" than ours. Was probably a personal block than a writing style block.
The book actually moved a little too fast for my taste. I found myself asking what the heck happened and cocking my head to the side like a confused dog while I re-read. Lots to take in. But then again our heroine had a LOT to take in too.
This was a very animalistic book in every sense of the word. The voiders seemed to be so ruled by sex, that they didn't need or want the other troubles. They mate with sex, celebrate with sex, and recover with sex.
My catholic schooled brain struggled.
I enjoyed the characters though, and think that given another book or two, this could be a very different and interesting world to read about. I will look for another book in this series, but I won't be rushing out to buy it. 3 stars.
While I love a good paranormal, sci fi or alien isn't usually my thing. However, Marie Harte's brings them to lands you're familiar with and adapts them into something not so foreign. This makes the story completely enjoyable. Can't wait for more!
It was ok, with an interesting storyline. I feel it was believable in many aspects, as the explanation of Chen's shift of band, and the chemistry between the pack. However I also thought that there were few rushed and boring scenes: (a) the fight between Eric and Nev was nothing tense but vague, nothing descriptive; and (b) the last sexual scene -which was awfully rushed, literally- was nothing but for the purpose of marking Malcolm as part of the pack by the Prime, nothing else, which was turn off for me and contradictory with the dynamic of this pack, especially the intense level of the sexual scene between Eric and Dom earlier in this novel. There was no much creativity in the department of sex, except two scenes, the first one interrupted, which was tense and on the edge of turning me off due to signs of nearly rape (between Eric and Vicky), and the one between Eric and Dom already mentioned.
I'm thinking maybe I just wasn't in the mood for this. I thought it was a good story, interesting world, good characters. I just wasn't as into the sex as others have been. I barely found it steamy. Not sure what's wrong with me, lol! But like I said, it was a good story... that's what kept me reading. Maybe I'll reread later and feel different. I would be interested in follow-ups though... what will happen to Will, what happened to Kate and her men, how will Vicki handle motherhood... stuff like that.
I'm on the fence about this book. The clear disrespect the males showed Vicky irritated me to the extreme. I get that it's about dominance but it leaned more towards no consent and I'm not sure if that was the authors intention. I'm not a huge fan of questionable consent hence my instant dislike of those scenes. The plot was ok but the romance left a bad taste in my mouth. I enjoyed the smut scenes at least.
I love Harte's Circe Recruits series, so I was really looking forward to reading this first book in another series... But it just didn't have that same camaraderie that the other series has. I liked but, but I'm not sure I'll buy the next in the series.
There is a lot to learn in this first book about the world, the different players and what each of the different species actually are. I would love to learn more about the world these guys originally came from though. We have several relationships forming in this book too. The main characters though are Vicki, Eric and Dom, with Malcom added later. This book involves relationships between m/m, f/m and any other combination of these four people. So if crossing swords bother you then don't read this book. But if you get excited by a little m/m activity the my all means pick up this great story. The fighting between two groups of Ravengers of differing beliefs keep the action exciting. I can't wait to read the next book and hopefully see more of "Gran", she is great!
When I started this book I wasn't sure I was going to like it but I was pleasantly surprised. If you don't like M-M action, I warn you there is lots of it in this book as well as MMFM action. The story was a whole new world. The descriptions were detailed enough to draw you in and give you an idea what had occurred in the past to make things the way they were. I loved Vickie's grandmother. She wrapped up things and gave a view into the future that will probably be revealed in future books.
Well what a pleasant surprise, I really didn't expect much from this book.
But it had a great story- though it could have been more developed hence the 4 stars. Really the story consisted of lots of sex, which I dont mind when its varied otherwise it becomes tedious.
I liked the variations in the sex scenes, mfmm, mf, mm, mfm she really mashed it up which stopped it becoming gratuitous.
I also loved the characters and world building. I just needed more depth- more characterisation, more plot etc.
Nonetheless it was a great start to the series from this unknown to me author
Who says a mistaken entry into a dark bar can't change your life forever? Not Vicki, since her encounter with Eric and his pack starts a chain of events that has her head in a spin. Just how will she escape the circumstances that have her questioning everything? Will her intense attraction to her new men fade with exposure? Will life as she knows now change?
Excellent book! The storylines well thought out, and easy to get in to. The sex scenes are off the charts hot!!! You will need a fan to cook down!! The heroine is feisty and strong and stands up for herself very well! This book is so easy to read, and the author is very talented! Give the book a read!l
Different and enjoyable futuristic and sort of paranormal story, but the sex, my goodness it was everywhere and with everyone. Ms Harte really can write a good ménage and M/M story. Read through Kindle Unlimited but I have read this before under a different series title.

I really enjoyed this story. It is a unique take on shapeshifters and magic users, called conduits here, and one I have not come across before.
The heroine Vicki and her cousin Sean are Conduits who are able to take energy from people and things, shape it, share it, store it, and use it as a weapon. They use this ability in their job as '' retrieval experts''. They are on the run from someone they ''retrieved'' something from when Vicki runs into a pack of Ravagers, shapeshifters who came through the void from another planet. Eric. the Ravager Prime, or King, becomes enamored of Vicki. When she slips away from his pack, her defiance only makes him want her more.
The characters are unique and exciting. I found myself rooting for them more and more. My favorite was without a doubt Vicki's grandmother who was feisty, opinionated, and very strong willed. You just gotta love her! The love scenes were very well written. They were hot, hot, hot, and there were plenty of them.
This is the first thing I have read by Ms Harte, but you can bet it won't be the last!
OMG this book was great! It was super fast paced with non-stop action. The Heroine is named Vickie and I absolutely love her personality. She has a lot of special abilities that have made her feel a lot more powerful than the average human. When she meets up with Eric the Prime (King) of the Ravager pack she is suddenly not as powerful in comparison and it irkes the hell out of her as much as it turns her on. In this universe Ravagers are a lot like Werewolves and they have multiple mates (men and woman). Usually the set up is one woman and three or four men but in this story it was mentioned there were some all men groups. There are very few Ravager Females that made it through the Void to Earth so they are prized and actually run the show in the Ravager culture. The writing is very sensual and the personalities make this story even more hot.
This is a wild, passionate, erotic, and adventurous ride. The lead female is no push over, even though she gets pushed over a lot (hee-hee). It's the right mix of erotica and reverence for our wild sides that are connected to nature and instinctively know that the modern day constraints of monogamy and prudishness is wrong.
I read this book when it was originally published by another publisher. I really enjoyed it then and I still enjoy it now! It has been a while since I read the original so I am not sure how much of it might have been updated. Definitely hot and steamy! Makes me look forward to Tommy Chen's story.
I enjoyed this book. It was fast paced and well written. It didn't fell rushed. It was also pretty smoking hoy! The characters were engaging and I enjoyed reading about them. Looking forward to reading the next book.
Started off SO STRONG & stayed good up through approx the 70% point....then I don't know. At the 'hunt' is when it began to feel lacking to me. Still interesting and sweet-ish even tho the ending felt rushed. HEA, Erotica (hot, for a while), more than a little M/M action.
