Lily and Lawrence are on the voyage of a lifetime.

Lily is pregnant, travelling with her husband, her maid and her doctor so that she can have her baby back in her home country, the United States, near to her beloved family. But her husband Henry has been faithless and unkind and soon she finds out her family aren't expecting her after all. Is she a passenger or a prisoner?

Lawrence is the only passenger on board who knows that he will not disembark in New York. In an effort to outrun the grief he felt at the untimely death of his beloved wife, Cissy, he has decided to end his life.

Can Lawrence find purpose in helping Lily, and can she in return save him from himself?
